Alex and his team did an amazing job installing our EV charger. They were fast, and very kind to explain the whole process in detail for us. It was our multifamily building's first EV charger, and they came with creative solutions to meet the needs of our building and us.

We hired Alex and Alex to prep the site to prevent damage to our electricial systems. They removed our fans, junction boxes, and loosened our wiring away from the work area so that it wouldn't be damaged. Once the work was done, they put everything back into place just like it was before. They also inspected our wiring for any damages resulting from the structural work, luckily everything was good.

It was easy to communicate with the company and electricians that came to do the job. They even offered help and insight into electrical questions/ concerns that we had that weren't on the scope, which we truly appreciate.

Overall, the crews who came out to help went above and beyond, and restored our systems perfectly.

My HoA provides me 3 approved electricians and I found a few more on the web. Alex and Alex offer the best value in term of pricing and customer service. Alex took the time to answer many of my questions on the phone and then in person. A few days later he and his crew show up on time and did a good job to make a new outlet, upgrade a breaker in my unit, and install new breaker and wiring through my unit to my parking underneath to install a ChargePoint EV charger on the wall. The job was well done professionally, and Alex take care of all the permit and inspection from the City. No need to shop around for EV charger installation, call Alex, and he will solve all the electrical problems for you.

Alex and his crew have done several electrical wirings for us, including entire home rewiring, replacing outlets/ electrical appliances, EV charger installation etc. Reasonable pricing, solid work, timely and dependable, and great communication. Alex and his guys were fantastic. Highly communicative, on time, and friendly. They installed an EV car charging station in our garage and even stayed around while I set it up to make sure it worked. My husband researched hard and had multiple electrician consultations before he trusted Alex and his team to handle our complicated electrical needs. We need a certified, insured, bonded, and licensed electrician who could upgrade our sub-panel to accommodate the installation of an EV wall charger.

I hired Alex & Alex to install a transfer switch so that I may safely power my home from a generator in the event of a power outage. Great work, professional team and very flexible with scheduling the work. I'm extremely happy with the outcome!

I highly recommend Alex & Alex Electrical. I've been in property management for 30 years and my standards are quite high... and Alex & Alex (A&A) surpassed them. They 1) upgraded a 100-amp panel to 200-amp, 2) installed an EV charger, and 3) ran a 240-line into the kitchen. All three were well done with quality materials.

I obtain three bids for a job of any monetary consequence, and starting with that, A&A shined. Its bid was prompt, thorough, clear, and by line item. Their price came in the middle of the other two quotes. The questions I had were quickly, kindly, and thoroughly answered, which gave me greater confidence in them.

The work was scheduled easily and the technicians showed up on time and worked quickly and courteously. There were two aesthetic changes I requested and they did them without any question. A&A’s follow-up for the permit inspection went as smoothly as possible and, of course, the inspector approved it all.

It was a pleasure working with these professionals!

Reasons:
- He is trustworthy. He did what he said he was going to do and charged what he said he was going to charge. When I went over the invoice with him, we discovered a few *minor* places where I was charged for things I should not have been, and he took them off. He actually said he likes it when they discover an issue, in the sense that it means they can reduce their client's bill! Some of these billing inaccuracies were things that I could not have verified, myself, so he had to verify w/ his crew, and he came back and did the right thing by correcting the bill even though I would have been none the wiser if he had lied. For other things, I clarified to him what was done, and he made the necessary corrections. To be clear, these were *minor* oversights. His crew did a large residential project for me and there was a *lot* to keep track of.
- He spent probably 2-2.5 hours with me over the course of 4-5 phone calls, planning and explaining the project to me to help me make the best decisions regarding what work to get done, when to do it, and how to do it so as to minimize impact on the tenants.
- He was ok w/ periodic phone call check-ins (this was a large project and I was not living on-site).
- He communicated well, enabling me to coordinate with the person doing the patching
- Covered everything, including the floor, with plastic/etc to minimize the dust that got in the house
- He was *close* to meeting the timeline he gave for the work (details below)
- As far as I can tell, his crew did quality work, and went beyond the 'bare minimum' required to pass inspection, in terms of grounding the wires, if I recall correctly. Since the final corrections, the tenants have not informed me of any issues.

Work done:
- installed dual service panel and subpanel on main house
- rewired all cloth wiring (> 50% of the house)
- added 15-25 of outlets, and moved a few
- added 22-28 recessed lights, replacing some existing lighting and removing some
- added light switches and bathroom fan switches
- installed electric car charger

Room for improvement: this was a large project being done on a rental property and the crew took the project down to the wire. They finished up as the tenants came back from a multi-day trip. Due to rushing at the end, they did not manually verify all the outlets were working. The tenants discovered some were not and then Alex's crew came back and addressed everything (free of charge, of course). They could have been better with their time estimate, or finished earlier.

Alex installed a level 2 circuit & Tesla charger (32 amps) at my home in June 2024. It had been working great until a few months ago when it started charging at only "level 1" (6 amps) intermittently. Alex came out personally, tightened and cleaned all the connections, and ran diagnostics. He didn't charge me, since he had done the initial installation. The charger has been working great since. Thanks Alex!

The best electricians I have found—they do careful work at a reasonable price.
Also, they found problems in the electric panel that another electrician had installed. Not only did they fix these, but they guided DWP through an inspection, and obtained the permit for us (which the previous company had never completed).
We liked them so much, we had them do a number of other jobs for us, including the installation of a car charger in our garage.

A receptacle wasn’t working, so they inspected it thoroughly and fixed a loose connection. They even checked the other outlets to prevent similar issues.

An overloaded circuit was making me nervous, but they fixed it by balancing the load and explaining how to avoid the issue in the future.

A GFCI installation was something I hadn’t thought about until recently, but I’m glad it’s now done. It’s nice having that extra layer of safety.

Something was jammed in the outlet, and I couldn’t safely remove it. The technician arrived promptly, handled it carefully, and ensured everything was safe to use again.
