We moved into a new home with Semper Solaris installed solar and a Tesla Powerwall system. Josh D. immediately helped us get up and running with Semper Solaris. But we were having issues getting the Tesla system to function properly. Josh D. took the helm and pushed everything through the Tesla system. While we waited on Tesla, he frequently touched base to give us updates. Ultimately, his efforts got all of our glitches with Tesla resolved. Josh D. is definitely one of the most diligent customer service professionals I have dealt with and is a tremendous asset to Semper Solaris. Thanks!

My hvac was not working after multiple parts of it was damaged. Cherice from customer service was very helpful and she followed up from start to end to make sure my hvac was running again.

We recently had a new AC system installed, and the entire process has been smooth and professional from start to finish. Kenneth, our salesman, was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us choose the right system for our home without any pressure. He answered all our questions and made sure we understood every step of the process.

After installation, Austin handled the drywall repair, and he did an excellent job. The repairs were clean, precise, and you can’t even tell any work was done — it looks like new. His attention to detail really stood out.

Overall, we’re very pleased with the service and would highly recommend this team to anyone considering a new HVAC system.

Angie was amazing. She was professional, patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I struggle with some of the jargon related to solar, and she was willing to break down all aspects into more digestible terms for me. She addressed every single one of my questions and I left our meeting, feeling confident in what the next steps were and what I needed to address. We got everything addressed that I needed in a timely fashion and with much less anxiety than I was expecting. I highly recommend her.

So far, I am happy with my experience, but if you are trying to talk to someone life or if you have a question and call them, you will only get answering service, a person that is not knowledgeable and that they don’t know anything about your system or where the installation processesis, you can only leave a message and they will get back to you after that week or so, but my installation was perfect. Perfect I just hope that my system won’t break down in the next 10, 15, 20 years because I am sure I will not be able to reach out anyone because even in the middle of my installation process I’m not able to reach anyone

Finding a roofing company was nerve wracking. I was referred to Semper Solaris and I am so happy. The estimator explained everything clearly and the project unfolded exactly as described. The project manager’s communication, along with the office team kept me informed each step of the way. I highly recommend them.

The solar installation has been very good. I had permit to operate last Nov. 22nd and I asked them is there I need to do on my part, they said it will be done remotely on their part. I waited more than a week then called them again. I had to follow up and they set up a tech visit to figure it out. They scheduled it but did not show up without even any notification. I work nights and had to wait that day missing sleep cause that was the only slot they have. It’s month since PTO and still no update yet. You can call customer service but they will just get your info and what you called about then they will call you back in a week or so. Very frustrating experience so far.

So far it is a great experience. I started applying for solar, since my roof has only fewer years left on it. I decided to get a new roof as well with semper solaris. Alex Lake my primary go to person with the application and getting info with the whole process. He was very courteous and really helpful specially with addressing my concerns. He was very diligent in updating me with whats going on. They started with my roof and it was looking good. Im so happy I did it with semper solaris. Timothy was my project manager for my roof and same as Alex he made the process really easy and he constantly updated me with the process up to very end. Now just waiting for my solar to be installed. Fingers crossed.

I do not recommend this company for solar - or likely anything else. I tried to work with them to install a solar+battery system for my house, but for two reasons I am terminating the contract before the install can begin.

The first reason is cost. The system I was looking for was on the larger end - 14kW and two batteries. I ended up getting a quote from them for a 10kW system plus the two batteries and removal of my current too-small system for $65k. That was an insane quote, so I noped it right away. The sales rep came back with a “what would work” and I said “around $50k might work, if you can install it quickly”. They came back with their “insane price” of $51k. That was close enough, so I signed the contract to start the install. But I didn’t like that they had inflated their prices but such a large amount in order to force me to negotiate the price like this. An honest company will give you their best price at the start. (Note: the 30% federal tax credit expiring is why I wanted it installed quickly. I’m sure many people are doing the same, so I knew I would likely have to pay a “surge price” premium.)

Second - and the major reason - is the total lack of communication from them.
Before the contract was signed, everything seemed normal. I’d text the sales rep and he would respond in a timely manner with full sentences. My questions were answered - mostly around the likelihood of the install being done in time. The company would not guarantee anything, of course, but the rep kept repeating stuff like, “We’ll be done in about 35 days, bud”. I knew 35 days was impossible, but I appreciated the intent of them to move quickly, so I signed the contract.
As soon as the contract was signed, everything changed. I couldn’t reach anyone. I would call my sales rep to ask what were the next steps and it would go to voice mail. Then I wouldn’t get a call back, so I would try again and the mailbox was full. So I sent text messages and would get no reply for days. After a few attempts, I would get back two or three words - vague platitudes that screamed of his indifference to my project.
Eventually the company called me to schedule the site inspection. I took the first appointment they had (a week out). No problems with the site inspector.
After the inspection, I asked for an eta on when they might have the designs ready for my review. No answer. A week later, I get the design. It looks okay - these systems aren’t hard to design. I noticed that due to the panel count, there was a gap in one row that could have a panel added to it - and maybe there was room for three panels in that same roof section. So I call my rep. No answer; mailbox full. I text him my request to have the designer see if they can fit three more panels. That’s about 10-15min of work, but he replies back that it “puts the project at risk”. I ask for the change anyways.
At this point, everything stops. I am never able to reach the rep again. I start calling the customer service line, but they never answer (I’m always “next in line”). Their hold system kicks you over to the operator after 5min. The operators are nice - I’ve talked to them all several times. They take your name and number and address and tell you someone will call you back. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. It’s about 50/50 for me at this point. When they do call, it’s from a random number and the only message they leave of you miss the call is to try the general customer service number - starting the loop over again.
After two weeks of trying to get the design changed, I switched to canceling the install. I texted my rep I was done and needed it terminated. “Ill cancel” was all I got in reply. Then nothing for days. I start calling the customer service line. I once tried the customer service for an hour straight (hanging up before connecting to the operator) and never talked to anyone. I texted the rep again asking for something in writing. “Cancel at customer service” was what I got - three days after he told me he would cancel it.
I’m still trying to get the contract canceled…

This is my second time working with Semper Solaris. They installed our original system in 2019. I came back to them to add panels and a battery. They easily had the best price. The design team was incredibly efficient. They applied for all of the PG&E incentives for me. The installation was as smooth as can be. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, left the job site clean. A+.

Excellent job installing the solar panels. Courteous and professional, and great communications about what's to be done, and the detailed walk through after the job is done. Also scheduling and precise arrivals make things run smoothly. Highly recommended.

My overall experience with Semper Solaris has been exceptional. Recently I had some questions regarding my systems performance and reached out for support. I spoke with Angie who was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable on how my system works. This is critical as I needed to have a better understanding of how my system functions overall.
On a side note, Angie was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, which made it easy for me to ask the questions I needed to ask. She even went out of her way and educated me on matters I didn't think to inquire about. I'm very grateful she was my point person when I needed answers. Thank you Angie. You ROCK!!

I am pleased to provide Semper Solaris a five-star evaluation for the roofing and solar project completed at my house (Bay Area). The teams from both the roofing and solar exhibited professionalism and expertise throughout the entire process.

The teams arrived on time as scheduled and completed the work efficiently and effectively. They ensured that the work area was cleaned up after completion, leaving my property in pristine condition i.e. no nails on the floor/asphalt/driveway.

Moreover, the communication and transparency regarding the contract details were outstanding. I never felt I was being misled during negotiations. One thing I want to stress to future clients, do your homework, learn the language, the process will be much more fun and less stressful.

I also can’t stress enough that doing a little bit of homework like understanding different brands like Enphase, Franklin, Tesla, and/or SolarEdge to name a few can help in understanding what platform is best for your needs prior to the sales rep coming.

I knew my house needed a roof and I wanted energy independency as well so going solar was a no brainer. Having a single company do both jobs avoids potential finger pointing when issues arise so Semper Solaris was clear choice.

Knowing the materials/components they work with is important to understand the fundamentals of the process i.e. microinverter vs. string vs. power optimizers. I did feel at times the vendor (Dimitri Salido) had to hold my hand and walk me through a lot of my questions. When I would text him or left a voicemail, he got back to me quickly even on weekends.

Other times I would contact corporate and the person I had most contact with was Heidi Canseco. She was super awesome, always had the patience and desire to answer my concerns. Made navigation of these two big ticket items run smooth and can always rely on her diligence to get things done.

I can’t stress enough that if you do decide to go with Semper Solaris for roofing and/or solar to request Heidi. Not to say others were not helpful but she was my point of contact who I would lean on.

I recommend asking for whatever project you decide to go with to request it in an itemized format which includes the break down of each component and government subsides before and after taxes, labor. That way you and your family know exactly how much money is coming out of your pocket. (thank you Dimitri)

Both teams maintained open lines of communication, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally. They were diligent in explaining the project scope, timeline, and any potential issues that arose.

Overall, the roofing and solar projects were executed with the highest level of professionalism, and I am extremely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend both teams for their exceptional work and dedication to customer service.

We needed a new roof and a friend recommended Semper Solaris. Phil came to our home and did a thorough inspection, and we decided to move forward. He was very helpful and patient through the initial phases of the project. We had some leaking, so the team graciously installed a secure tarp on both our roof and chimney while we waited for the repairs. The team at Semper communicated clearly throughout the process of removing our solar and replacing the underlayment on our roof. They handled the permits for us as well. Christian and his team worked very hard and sent daily photo updates which was much appreciated. They also cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each workday. Now we are just waiting for the solar reinstall. We are thankful for a job well done!
