Reviews of local pros in Modesto, California

I had a pretty big job for these guys that spanned a few days and kept changing due to other needs for my electrical for my house. They not only did a fantastic job but they were very flexible with the changes and went above and beyond what I expected. They were extremely fair with the price too. All around great experience and I highly recommend them.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring them for all your tree needs

James and crew are amazing at their craft. 10/10 Well done guys. Our trees never looked so good!

Great experience, same day quote ,which I liked.
Professional and excellent pricing. Shows up on time. They did a great job, I was very happy. Would highly recommend their service.

Got a quote for tree relocation and removal and we were very impressed by the knowledge and honesty during the visit. I highly recommend this company for any tree related services.

They are very knowledgeable. I had a couple of difficult removals and they took great care to take the trees out without damaging any structures. I would definitely recommend them

They seem very, very nice and know what they’re doing. Although we did not hire them, I feel confident that we might be able to use them next time.

These guys are awesome! Very reasonable pricing. Super friendly and great customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone. They removed 2 redwoods from my front yard and did and amazing job. Very professional.

These guys did a wonderful job. They also expertly advised against the extensive trimming of a tree (limbs hanging over a pool) that would probably have killed the tree, but offered to do it if I really wanted.

They were extremely quick to completely delete 3 tall redwoods, 2 extra stumps, and nicely trim a tree. All in less than half a day!

James and Dauki we're wonderful!! We had a huge redwood tree removed, and they are having the trunk plained so we can make a kitchen table out of it! They are also coming back to plant a new tree for us! Awesome guy's, they did an amazing job! Will be recommending them to our neighbors! 5 star tree company for sure 😃

I called around for rates and James had competitive pricing. He was responsive and very knowledgeable. We coordinated on a date and time. He arrived early and called me afterwards to give me a summary of the work he did. Highly recommend this business.

James and his crew did an incredible job removing 20 years of growth in our yard. Hardworking and personable they also did it at a reasonable cost. My wife and I highly recommend them. We will be using them soon to relocate a few patio trees and plant a number of fruit trees.

This is an EXTREMELY EXELENT Company to hire for any service that they offer VERY Professional,Courteous and even showed up early! LEFT. ZERO MESS AND MY YARD HASNT LOOKED THIS GREAT IN YEARS. Thank YOU MACKMANS TREECARE YOURE AWESOME!!

When I got home yesterday I had a door hanger for Mackman's tree service and called them immediately asking for a free estimate. I was called back this morning and James came within the hour. He did everything that I needed including hauling the dead wood out to the curb. My husband and I were very pleased with his service and would highly recommend him.

I'm only going to rate them based on my first experience.
James showed up at my house and gave me a great price for the work I needed done and they showed up when scheduled and completed the job as professionally as possible and the tree climber was amazing.
And as promised the clean up was good, tree limbs and branches were cut to size and the city removed them. As for the 2nd time I used them they weren't as good maybe because James was injured but they didn't do the job as professionally as promised when I tried to resolve the problem and I told it was going to cost me another $500.00 and that's where every thing changed so please get in writing what your expectations are and what they are responsible for doing and how if a problem arises who is financially responsible. Best of luck

Really amazing people they're very work deprived and very reliable. Definitely worth it.

These guys are a "class act". Quick to respond and very professional. Delivered a competitive bid and scheduled and completed the job on short notice. They also took the time to educate me a little on tree care and maintenance. The team cleared out several trees in my front yard (including a palm) and left the yard nicer than they found it. I would highly recommend Mackman's tree care and will use them for all my future needs. DID YOU KNOW that Mackman's also offers a free cat rescue service. Yes, true story. When the Fire department is too busy and your beloved cat is stuck in the tree, this team will come out and rescue at no charge. They do this out of kindness and a service to the community (back to a "class act).

In August 2021 we needed multiple trees trimmed and one removed when we were preparing to list our house. I called the service we usually used as well as two others and they were scheduling 2 months out. I got James Mackman's name from a tree service where he previously worked. He was out for the estimate in one day, did the work two days later, and it was the most professional job I'd had done in 17 years. Would highly recommend his tree service.
