Reviews of local pros in Modesto, California

We have had James Mackman do several tree services for us over the past few years. Excellent each time, including removal of a large bush today. Knowledgable, personable, timely and fairly priced. If you need any tree related service, Mackman's is the company to trust. Thank you, James!

These two Gentlemens came to rescue my cat that was stuck on a tree. Very polite and respectful gentleman’s! I am so grateful for them. I recommend them if you need any tree services or if you need your cat to be rescue, they will be there right away to help you.

A few years ago our kitten was stuck in a tree all night, during a horrible rain storm I started looking for CAT RESCUE SERVICE and someone told me about Mackmans Tree Care, it was very late at night, maybe very early morning I left a message on their phone.
1st thing in the morning probably 7:30am James Mackman returned my call.
With the wind and rain storm they were buried in work, but they prioritized Rescuing our Kitten, they showed up about an hour later and even with some wind and light rain, they climbed out neighbors tree and rescued our Kitten.
I can't tell you how impressed I am by them, they put aside their work for a few hours, to RESCUE our kitten, and then I asked how much, and I couldn't believe James when he told me they don't charge for their CAT RESCUE SERVICE.
So this week when I decided it was time to get out Palm Tree 🌴 removed, I made one call and received a very reasonable price quote and asked James when they could do it, and surprisingly they were able to do it today.
I'll tell you what, these guys are GREAT!
If you want professional, skilled, reliable, caring, service, and maybe even some good Karma, give Hackman's Tree Care a call.
You will not regret it.
They saved my cat, they cut down my tree 🌲, and they proved there are still some very good people in this world.

Cat rescue experts! We had a kitty probably at least 35 feet up a redwood tree, stuck there for three nights and no way was he coming down and these guys went up and got him in the most professional, kind, and appropriate way. They are amazing and we cannot thank them enough!

They are so amazing they came out today free of charge and rescued our family cat from a very tall tree ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻 we are so thankful!!!! They are the best!

Just wanted to thank you for taking care of my tree in the back of my yard. You guys are very professional quick and cleaned up the area I wasn’t expecting. I would recommend them to anybody.

We have utilized services from Mackman's several times over the past 7 years and they are always amazing. They are professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend them for sure!

I would recommend them over and over. This company is amazing they helped me last minute dealing with my insurance company and helped me keep my home owners insurance. Not only are they trustworthy there prices are amazing.

James and his colleague were both refreshingly passionate about keeping trees healthy and educating me along the way. I'm looking forward to having them back to do more work.

Knowledgeable and passionate about the work. He offered insights to every part of the task and answered all my questions. They did amazing work
at a great price and had good communication throughout. Easy recommendation.

We've used Mackman's Tree Care twice now. Both times the service has been excellent! They are very professional and knowledgeable. James is great. He knows what he's doing, offers great information and advice, and works with the customer. Service was awesome. They left everything neat and clean. We didn't have to worry about anything.

Highly recommend.

Great help in a time of need. Thank you

Very responsive and easy to talk to.

Great tree service they dona good job.

They do great work I'd recommend them to anybody.

Great service and quality. They know trees and leave the work site in great shape.

Extremely poor customer service. Does not return calls nor does he follow through with scheduled work. Nasty person who calls customers names. Extremely immature and unprofessional.

The owner is friendly, and the workers are hard working and nice as well. Great people to have to come out and cut your trees.

Tree broke and fell on a roof, called Charles and someone came right out and took care of this on a Sunday. Very professional and they cleaned the area affected.
