Mike Wigler might know about plants but a very unprofessional manager. Talks about customers while they are there. Talks about the employees in a very bad manner. Passive aggressive for certain as I have seen him for many years. I love plants but wouldn't go in there ever again. He says " if I don't know something about plants then I lie or make it up. He deceives the public and I have observed him doing many unethical, and bad things. I have been in Monrovia for almost twenty years.

First time getting our Christmas tree here! Unlike other places, they had their trees unwrapped and on stands so you could shop at a glance. They also helped us tie it to our car.

Very helpful and very pleasant, one of my favorite garden centers. Clean, organized, and well stockec; they also carry Dr. Earth's 25 pound bags and Corona snippers.

I've only been here like three times but in those three times I've been asked immediately after stepping in the store if I needed help with something which is something I'm not used too at most stores just with that I would definitely recommend this place for all your gardening needs, they are very helpful and always give you the correct product.

Didn't buy anything, but when I saw the plants, I was tempted. I did ask one of the employees questions about house plants. He was informative and willing to take the time to answer my questions.

I went in to Armstrong's for a simple Orchid for my wife. Daisy waited on me and wow, wow, she transformed my two little Orchids into beautiful gifts for the most wonderful human in the world, the mother of my children. I was so proud to present my wife with them. She was very happy and suprised.

Don't waste anytime with the staff at this location. They are inconsiderate and disrespectful. The store manager, Mike has absolutely no personality and fails to perform the simplest of requests. He basically has no time for his customers and that sentiment resonates within the rest of his staff. His assistant manager creeps around the premises like a junkyard dog offering no assistance whatsoever . She imparts no knowledge of the store functions and serves no purpose in lieu of a missing store manager. This location will no longer get any of my business and I share my negative experiences with friends who claim to have similar interactions. There are many alternatives to this store and I chose to exercise all of my options when planning my landscape projects. None of my plans will include the Monrovia Armstrong Garden Center.

An oasis of plants, succulents, flowers, pottery, soil, etc; beautifully displayed and easy to browse. The staff were very helpful as I am a green thumb newbie ....was looking for air purifying indoor plants. Left with a Peace Lily and Dracaena.

Huge selection of beautiful plants both indoor and outdoor varieties to go along with a very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Could have spent the entire day just soaking nature's incredible creations.

They have a beautiful assortment of succulents and other plants. Very well tended. Just walking around looking at everything is relaxing. The staff are the best too!

There were 4 associates there and each one was less helpful than the last. I stood in line 10 just to ask a question because the lady at the front of the line decided to tell the cashier her life story and he didn't even try calling for another cashier to help move the line along

I shop here when I want a different type of gift. Something like an orchid plant for my aunt's birthday, a 6" anthrium plant for a hostess gift, a ruffled African violet for a birthday gift.
Considering the number of times I have been here, no one has ever said hello or asked me if I needed help.

So many choices. Staff was very helpful. Easy parking.

I wanted some seeds and some bedding plants, they had what I wanted, and in an assortment of colors. I was able to shop inside the store. We all had masks on, but it was a happy trip to the Nursery.

We just moved around the corner and couldn't wait to check out Armstrong Garden Center! They have something for everybody and each section is laid so thoughtfully. Can't wait to go back! Don't hesitate to check them out. If you are a plant lover, you will not be disappointed.

I have been going to this Armstrong location for 25 years. I have seen staff come and go but the quality of the plants has remained excellent, if sometimes a bit more expensively priced than other nurseries. I especially appreciate their special order desk: plants come in quickly and are in peak condition. Armstrong also has a rewards program for frquent customers. No matter what expertise you have as a gardener, Armstrong will delight you.

My visit today was for a class on rose pruning. I have attended their classes on several other topics as well. I enjoy the coffee, information, and interaction with others that attend. Armstrong has fair prices and a wide selection of plants and accessories for you gardeners.

I've been buying from Armstrong for about 3 years. Although their customer service is okay, I have not had great plants and they are expensive! The last three I bought were all infected with these annoying gnats that infected all my other plants.
Be careful when you are buying plants there and check them thoroughly for infections.

I was waking around looking for a 6 to 8" potted plant with Easter or spring decorative ribbons or paper. I didn't find anything like that so I shopped around outside and found some colorful full sun flowering plants. I purchased 3 different colors & 1 1/2 cubic foot of potting soil. Fortunately I have pots of assorted colors to plant them in. I was also surprised at the lack of patio furniture accessories like cushions. I was also looking for a Spring welcome mat. Ended up buying that at Target.

Nothing earth-shattering to report for my latest visit to Armstrong Garden Centers. Everybody knows they have a huge selection, friendly staff and somewhat pricey plants on sale in all categories. They're actually able to get on the computer and check if they had Swiss chard and there is in stock I couldn't see it out on the racks and wondering if they were out, but it was nice that they checked. They don't offer gardening racks to put your plants in when you take it out to your car which is unfortunate. San Gabriel Nursery does that. In short, it's always fun to stop by, shop plants and bring some home to spruce up your gardening experience. Plus the quality of their plants is better than Walmart or Home Depot in general.

Se went to Monrovia location where they did not have what we needed, so they sent us to Glendora location where we purchased the item. The help was terrific in both locations.
Went to Monrovia location they had what we wanted and more, with friendly help that not only answered my questions, but also showed the items to me in stock.
