I purchased an annual home maintenance package and they sent Gabriel Mercado to check on my A/C before the hot summer months arrive. Gabriel was both knowledgeable and courteous. His explanation was easy to follow and now my A/C is ready for the summer. Bring on the heat!

I would give Jose Zaragoza more than 5 stars. Not only did he arrive at the time the app said he would he was able to install the new parts efficiently and in a timely manner. What a relief to have such speed in fixing the issue and now once more we have hot water and a safe water heater, and I now have back a number of hours I thought I would be home to wait. Thank you so much Jose.

I met some of the Monkey Wrench staff at the Los Angeles Fair at their booth and took advantage of a great special they had at the fair for a Tankless Water Heater Flush. My technician Jonathan did great work in a timely fashion and provided great communication on my work and other questions I had. Will for sure be using Monkey Wrench again when the need arises.

Had a great experience with the crews from Monkey Wrench Plumbing, HVAC & Electric. The Crew kept me inform regarding their progress. They answer my question and concern and completed the installation in one day. They remove the debris and clean up the areas they were working. Now I have a new tankless water heater. January 23, 2025 Monkey Wrench was supposed to routinely check our HVAC unit as part of their annual service plan. We paid a little more for them servicing water heater pre filters and they then included an HVAC “free” service.
Two techs came to our house (Osvaldo & Joel). They seemed nice enough, but when they came down, they had very serious looks on their face and said that both the furnace and the inducer would have to be replaced. They did a routine of saying there are three levels and we were at level three, the most dangerous. Later an invoice was sent for a new furnace that was for $11,995.00.
This, after their on-site quote was “ $3000 to $5000.“
The next day I had a reputable heating and AC company come and check and clean the furnace, and they stated that it was in fine shape and did not need to be replaced at all and likely wouldn’t have to be for several years!
Monkey Wrench is giving bogus estimates and trying to take advantage of older citizens. Avoid them!

Today we had Alex out to check our mini splits. He is very informative and let us know exactly how they work and how to keep them working for years to come. Friendly and respectful also! Thanks Alex from Diana and Jeff

Alex from Monkey Wrench was incredibly helpful getting our AC back up and running the same day he came to look at the problem. We were only without air for a short time because of his ability to diagnose the problem quickly and fix it.

He also helped us understand how to make our HVAC solution more robust and last longer in the coming years, very glad that he was able to come out and inspect the issue.

I google plummer for my bathroom sink as it was not draining water properly. They connected me with Eddie M who was an awesome pro!

He fixed my bathroom sink with a new pipe and the price was very reasonable. He also fixed my kitchen faucet's air filter for free!

He was proactive and took initiative. I would recommend Eddie M and Monkey Wrench again.

The yearly checkup on my water heater is always efficient. Enrique was here last year and he gave me good advice back then to solve my problem. I took his advice and all was perfect this time. Thank You Enrique. Hope to see you again

BEWARE of doing business with these guys. We had them come in to do a routine check up on our tankless water heater. The guy recommended we replace the whole system due to the state it was in, he verbally communicated that they offer 0% interest for 12 months if we elected to finance. Understanding we had favorable financing terms we agreed to move forward. My mistake was assuming good intentions from Monkey Wrench and just signing the loan documents but I would subsequently find out they operate in deceptive business practices and put together a loan agreement that didn’t offer any 0% interest period. Just watch out with these guys because they will convince you to replace systems, always get another look!!

All of the technicians from monkey wrench have been wonderful!! They are friendly, polite, and just really nice.... Prompt, neat, and helpful. The prices are fair, and they never try to upsell you. I would not use anyone else!

Alfredo and Bryan are the best!! I can’t say how grateful I am that they were able to identify the problem to the spotty and absent hot water. Needless to say that we now have running hot water! I highly recommend them!!

The best thing that we did was get on the maintenance plan. We take full advantage of it. In this case, it helped identify a problem and get it fixed before something bad happened. Thanks to Enrique and Monkey Wrench.

Luis is knowledgeable on tankless water heaters. He explained my options and was not a pushy sales person. He took time to answer all my questions and provided valuable information on a potential rebate with so cal gas.

My in-laws are in their 90s and needed a water heater replaced. Monkey Wrench quoted us $5000 which is high, but they were able to do the work almost immediately so we went with them. They did a great job with the install, and the technicians were very friendly and knowledgeable. Both bathrooms in the house have valve stems that need to be replaced in the showers, one is leaking quite badly. The technician who gave us the quote said he'd determine which stems were needed and would call us back the next day. When he failed to call, I waited a week and then I called the company. I was told that the tech was in his morning meeting and would call that afternoon. That was four days ago.

I believe Monkey Wrench Plumbing is competent in their installs and friendly, but they are pricy and don't follow through with their commitments based on my limited experience with them. I do not recommend them.

If I have any further interaction with them, I will update this review.

New Addition: Monkey Wrench reads and responds to their reviews which I appreciate. There was some miscommunication and rather than call me back, MWP had sent me an estimate via e-mail. $5000 is a lot for a water heater, but $1000 for two shower cartridges is completely insane.

To recap, they did follow through and give me an estimate, however their pricing is absolutely ridiculous. I just purchased the cartridges for $22 each, install will take me 5-10 minutes each. Plus another 5 minutes to shut off the water to the house. The estimate MWP provided for this task is exactly $1000 (I am not exaggerating this figure) and states that it includes a quantity discount. Despite their polite follow-up, I still can not recommend Monkey Wrench Plumbing with this type of pricing.

Eli was great to work with. He was very knit and gave me several options regarding my tankless water heater maintenance. He also explained the Monkey Wrench Plumbing service plan which I will be taking advantage of. He is a good technician and salesman. Thanks Eli!
