IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. JOKE OF A COMPANY. OUR SYSTEM HASN'T BEEN WORKING FOR MONTHS AND WE CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER OR RETURN THE NUMEROUS VOICE-MAILS WE HAVE LEFT!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! FIND A MORE RELIABLE COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO GO SOLAR!!! 😡

Green Solar Technologies is the best place to get solar panels. From the beginning, where we purchased the best made solar panels, and throughout the process of getting all the permits approved to installation, Green Solar Technologies handled each step with their professional team. Their expertise did all the leg work and we went solar quickly. The only problem experienced was winter came in the middle of that and I didn’t want anyone on the roof with snow on it. Thankfully we got a few warm days and the contractor did what he could and within 2 weeks all was installed. I would buy all over again with Green Solar Technologies. Great team and company to work with.

I wish I could leave a 5 star review like so many others, but this companies customer service is some of the worst I have had to deal with.

This company took a very long time to start my install. Every time I spoke to them, they had a different excuse as to what was causing the hold up. When I told them I wanted to cancel, I was informed I would be charged $10,000 to get out of the deal. When the install finally started, the local crew was great. However, unsurprisingly there were issues, and every time Green Solar said someone else was to blame. Now that the system is operational I am still experiencing problems. The monitoring app has not worked in almost a month. When the monitoring app worked, I saw several panels that are producing way less than others. I have contacted Green Solar to discuss possible solutions and for over a month all I get is we are looking into it and will get back to you.

Update 11/26/19:
The day after I posted this review, the company contacted me promising to fix the problems. Waiting to see how it goes.

Update 12/11/19
My monitoring app is working now, but it was the local installer who helped with that not Green Solar. It has been 2 weeks since this company promised to contact me regarding my other issues, and nothing.

The Green Solar system worked well for 5 years but then needed a new Inverter. An inverter was received at my residence and I worked with the Santa Fe, NM. office to have a local electrician complete the installation. The Calif. home office could not find anyone to place the new inverter in commission. I was without solar electrical support for 18 months and they would not reimburse the local electrician for the installation. I have found a solar company 20 miles from me who commissioned the inverter and got me back online in a couple hours. The 25 year warranty from Green Solar is a rude joke. BUY LOCAL.

Horrible customer service once you make it past the sale department and sign your contract. I am trying to sell my home and need information on how to transfer the warranty. I have been calling for weeks with no answer back. The only phone line that has anyone answering is their sales department, who always promise to send ur request thru to the proper people, but still no call. Not even asking for them to honor their warranty or contract, just wanna transfer it when my home sells. My system was installed in 2020 and to date I have not been able to reach anyone in customer service.

Purchased a system in 2019. The bait and switch on the monitoring of the system came 2 years later. Received the 1k part to monitor and had it installed finally after 5 months. The inverter went out last month and we weren't notified. If I could give you negative stars, I would. Nobody answers the phone unless you are looking to purchase. Lawsuit is definitely in order.

Green Solar has been awesome. The technicians that did the installation made sure the site was cleaned once the installation was complete. The project manager was always just a phone call away and always answered when we called. We NEVER got an automated call but always got a person. John was great!!!! The installation technicians were great!!! We are so excited to start saving money on our solar units. We just got online with our system today. So hopefully in 30 days we will be able to write another review about all the money we're saving.

Update: The worst investment we have made. We aren't saving anything worth writing about. System doesn't deliver as promised. Cannot reach ANYONE from the company. No one will return our calls. We're still making payments on our system. We cannot use our air conditioner because we can't afford to pay the electric bill plus the payment on our system. We are so disappointed! Wish someone could help us!!!

Warning! I installed a Green Solar energies system on my house in Kansas approximately five years ago. The first time it went down it was down for nine months. The second time it went down it was down for three months. The third time it went down it was down for two months. This time it has been down for a month and all Green Solar energies does is keep giving me the royal runaround. Green Solar energies does not back their warranty. Every time I have a problem, it takes me months to get them to solve it. I warn anyone considering them to stay away. I paid $60,000 for an on again off again system.

I had a system installed by Green Solar Technologies. The installers did the roof installation improperly. I now have several leaks in my roof. I have made multiple calls to their "customer service" number over the last 6 weeks. There is never anyone available and all you get is a voicemail system.

I have left multiple messages.

They have yet to return any of my calls. Interestingly, I asked for a quote on a new system and got 4 calls in two days.

Their contract requires that anyone who works on the system must be approved by them or it voids the warranty. Since they seem unable to respond to identify such a contractor, effectively their warranty is worthless.

I strongly recommend that you avoid this company. At this point I have to consider them to be fundamentally dishonest. They promise support, but don't provide it.

A representative of Green Home Systems (apparently a sister company) called and said they would resolve the issue. I will add to this post when the issue is resolved.

A second representative called and said he would be taking over my case and promised a quick and complete resolution.

There has been no further contact. No response to emails. The direct contact phone number is no longer in service.

I stand by my original statement that this company is dishonest. They promise a warranty but do not honor it.

I will add that Green Home Systems, which is apparently a successor company behaves in exactly the same manner re. customer service.

I've been trying to get service to remove the panels and have them reinstalled so that my roof can be repaired due to hail damage to my shingles. This is a request that I will pay for!! And still I can't get anything from them. I started reaching out in July 2024....it's now October 2024 and still nothing from them.... Update.. As of April 2025 I've had no response from them. If I could rate them 0 of 5 I would.....

I used green solar to install a grid tied 9.9kwh system and had no issues. After they finished with there install they didn't leave any mess behind. Did a very good job. Would highly recommend

If my now deceased husband had known what bad customer service this company had, he would have never had our system installed. He and now I have been trying for over 3 years to get someone out to repair our system to no avail. Worst company we have ever dealt with. And I’m not sure why my deceased mother’s name came up in this review. This is a review from John and Kathryn Ford.

It took a couple of days to install. The solar panels are not only producing more energy than we're using, but they are aesthetically pleasing as well.

The sales rep that came needs improvement. Gave me his spiel really fast. Asking him to slow down didn't repeatedly didn't help. I had to ask the same questions several times. He lied to me saying i would get 3 free months. Salesmen are some of the worst people. There's no follow up after the installation. I had no idea what i needed to do. From beginning to end the experience told me they don't care about me or appreciate the huge decision this is. The important thing to them is signing up.

Long story short - the company lacks professionalism. Our neighbor used Green Solar for their solar installation. The company - instead of paying and arranging their own trash bins to throw away all their commercial debris and trash; the company decided to use our trash bins. Keep in mind - our neighbor is using them. They filled up our trash cans with trash, including filling our "Green" garbage bin (green for biodegradable waste or compostable materials) with concrete debris, metal junk, and others. See photos. Contacted the company but they just ignore. Unprofessional company, I would suggest you stay away.

I highly recommend Green Solar Tech! From start to finish, the entire project was handled professionally, and in a friendly manner.
We did have a glitch...an unusually long wait (4 months) for county permitting approval. That was the county's fault, and Green Solar complied with the changes the county demanded in a timely manner.
Everyone who came to my house was courteous and polite, especially the installer and his crew.
My project manager, Zuriel, was a pleasure to work with. He kept me informed every step of the way, including during that long 4 months of county inaction.
All in all, a great company to do business with!

Installed 22 panels in 2020 and issues since. They failed to file a rebate. After a long battle, a repayment agreement was reached but getting repayments has been a nightmare. I've been trying to reach anyone for 7 months and I've been ghosted. They owe us around $4500. I need your response! This is a significant amount of money.

These people owe pretty much everyone money including me.

But I’ll do you one better. They don’t even have an office where they say they do. I passed through Los Angeles to find out.

I WOULD NOT do business with them. They are obviously planning on scamming everyone out of their money.

Oh and trust me they are still operating thier business, because I acted as a prospect, they called me immediately.

I admire the work of these guys! I'm thankful that Marvel Electricians was able to handle my circuit breaker keeps tripping. They masterfully handled the task, and I'm happy because it only lasted for about an hour. Truly an incredible display of performance! I will always be loyal to your service!
