Steve has done a few jobs for us at our home. Excellent customer service, prompt and reasonable cost. Most recently, he installed a 220v wall outlet for our plug-in hybrid. The work was fast and efficient. When we needed follow up, he didn't hesitate to come out to address it without any additional cost. Highly recommend!

Steve did a wonderful job when faced with the demands of my homeowners insurance. We really appreciated all of his efforts on our behalf.

You want the best just ask for Steve, he is very knowledgeable on how to get your request solved with minimum construction or cost required. I’ve compared with 3 different company he gave me the best value of the 3, the other was requiring us to do demo in the wall area that needs modification, but Steve was able to do without demoing the wall, and using better parts and was able to get it done quickly. He follows up and cares for the customer that calls in. Thank you again for everything.

I hired Steve's company to upgrade my electrical panel from 100 amp to 200 amp. He was able to provide me with an estimate that was lower than the ones I had. He was extremely knowledgeable of this process. His people were very professional, came on time and finished on time. Did all the permits and helped with inspections. I highly recommend Steve

Steve came out and gave an estimate for installing a TV over our fireplace and doing the wiring required for it. He was very nice and knowledgeable. His crew came a few days later. Totally on time, very friendly, and did a great job. They took a little longer than anticipated, but with a quick email, Steve held to his estimate. Very happy with the service. Will definitely use again.

Steve was very professional and has great knowledge in what we needed. I appreciated where he advised regarding costs and where we could save. Steve Martin at Steve Cavenee Electric did an excellent job interfacing my new portable power station to my home electric panels. In addition to the electric work Steve made a video for me that clearly explained how to connect and activate the portable power station when Edison power is lost.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. Dishonest and Unprofessional. Janna, the receptionist is deceitful and she even harasses you. I almost had to reach out to my lawyer.
I own several properties in Orange County for over 20 years and have worked with many companies but this was the worst company I've experienced.
1. UNPROFESSIONALISM: I called Janna to fix my doorbell chime and install Ring. Janna said $165 for first hour and second trip fee is $45 and following service fee is $140. They do not show up on time. My initial appointment was 8am, then they moved it to 9, 2, then they showed up at 3:10pm.
2. Fixed the button on my transformer but didn't install Ring. Around 3:30, Manny, the technician left job unfinished saying they are in hurry. He promised that he will come back and remove the second trip fee and prorate the unfinished service fee.
3. DISHONESTY: Manny the technician promised that he will waive $45 and prorate the service fee since he had to leave job unfinished. I wanted him to leave me a written promise but he assured me he was in hurry and he will talk to the office and take care of everything. I should have never trusted him. LEAVE PAPER TRAIL.
4. Few days later, Janna calls and apologizes for all the inconvenience and to set up a time to finish the job. She does not give me an estimate so I had to ask several times for an estimate. She texts me $165 for service and $50 for parts for the second trip. Event hough I remembered the second trip is $140, I wanted to get the job done fast and avoid the hassle, I agree to her term. Few hours later, she texts me that the service fee is increased to $180, then few minutes later $210!!!!!!!!!!
5. I asked her why it went up from $165 to &180 then $210. I told her that she is not being transparent and dishonest. She starts to calling and texting me, harassing me that I prey on free work and leave negative reviews. Oh, she added that people will never trust my review. I texted her that this is my first negative review and all this is captured along with the photos of the mess they left.
6. I've owned several properties in OC for past 20 years and have worked with many companies. I've never seen this level of unprofessionalism. Steve, if you see this, please contact me. I will show you all the text she sent me and the phone calls along with the photos. You need to fire Janna.

Robert was pretty awesome and informative it was a pleasure having him take care of my electrical issues that I was having with my fan.

We had outstanding service from Steve Cavenee Electric. The technician, Jacob, arrived on time, was respectful of our request to wear shoe covers, and overcame many challenges to complete the job quickly and professionally. We highly recommend the Steve Cavanee Electric team.

I highly recommend Steve Cavenee Electric! I was struggling to get other companies to call me back, but Steve Cavenne was so responsive . John in the Customer Care team was a joy to speak with and helped answer all my questions. Brandon and Rolando were amazing with the installation. They were polite, quick and informative. They even put everything back on the shelves and left no mess behind. I’m happily charging my car thanks to this whole team!

Update as of 9/10/2025...Jacob is back along with Brandon. My dream came true to see my new panel installed. I applaud the professional and exceptional job in completing this project. I place my complete confidence in Cavenee Electric and their terrific staff. I will recommend Cavenee to all my friends and family.

Wow, what is the best word to describe Steve Cavenee Electric
and his team? The only word is extraordinary! I have never come across such a team of people that were all extra milers. These people do just that for you, they go the extra mile to ensure that your experience is absolutely extraordinary. I highly recommend you use Steve and his team, because it is a miracle these days to find such a unified team of people that are extraordinary!

Well, Steve, Shawn and Rolando did it again. This time, they did a project outside bringing two outlets to a side yard area that will support two water fountains, as well as putting a underground irrigation system in. The team are perfectionists and always go way beyond anyone's expectations. They use the Golden Rule it is apparent in everything they do. They are the best! So appreciate you guys! God bless!

Steve showed up on a Saturday within an hour of talking with him. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and helped us understand what issues were going on. His associate, Jacob, came by today and was awesome. Very personable and helpful and fixed the immediate issues. He explained everything he was doing to my husband so we knew exactly what was happening. Five stars for sure!

We have used Steve Cavenee for a wide variety of our electrical needs. Most recently, we remodeled our kitchen. We consulted with Shawn, Steve (the owner) and Brydon for the optimal layout, troubleshooting, etc. The majority of the work was led by Rolando and assisted by Fernando, Brandon, Omar, Steve and Jacob. This job had many pieces to it and all of the electricians showed the upmost professionalism, communication and ultimately delivered a stellar product. No matter what technician is on your job they are more than skilled to complete whatever was asked of them. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them.
