Rip off and overpriced.
They charge way too much and pay way too little for their employees.
Spoke to someone in the office named Rael, who seemed like he have no idea what he is talking about. I’d ask in the east and he would answer me in the west.

Stay away from this Poorly managed and rip off of a company, and just know there are way better companies with better staff and fair prices

Jeff and his team are professionals. They provide quality workmanship and excellent customer service. We plan to use them for future projects in the Orange County area.

Steve was very efficient and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem ( a faulty GFI connection) and had it fixed in a timely manner.

Frontier told us we needed a new phone/internet CAT 5 cable run inside our home. We contacted Berk's and scheduled a diagnostic assessment. Turned out it is a Frontier problem and no CAT 5 cable would work with their DSL router connection. Berk's office staff and technicians were A+. Called out company to get an estimate for replacing outlets throughout house, upgrade breaker panel, install sub panel in garage, and suggestions for recessed lighting. Explained that house was in escrow but that I was buying house as is so no need for a report, only an estimate. Tech came out and did what they needed to do then told me that the price was $270. Asked why they are charging for an estimate and was told that they are not charged or the estimate but for the inspection. Explained issue to dispatch lady who insisted that the tech was sent out for a home inspection. This was a surprise since I told them I needed an estimate for repairs not a home inspection.

I do no recommend this company since it seems they will nickel and dime you to death. I’ve never heard of a residential service company that charges to produce an estimate to perform work.

Francisco was fantastic! Professional and quick troubleshooting and repair. Really appreciate explanation and important points needed regarding the equipment. Absolutely fair price and great work. Good communication by company too.

I recently started using Berk’s Electrical to upgrade our house to meet current electrical building codes.

I talked on the telephone about the project with the owner Jeff and staff. The work was performed by Nabil.

Berk’s Electrical was an excellent company to work with and I was very satisfied with Nabil’s work product and the company’s professionalism.

Prompt service, clear explanation of what the problem was as well as how it could be fixed and a timely repair as well. Steve Martin was a representation for Berk’s and I’d gladly call them back to have him fix any other electrical issue I may have in the future.

Absolute joke of a company. Charged me $89 to request an estimate. 7-10 days later still no estimate. I had to call them 3 times to get them to send it over. Then they were 3-4 times the amount of 3 other estimates I received. Basically terrible customer service, plus TOTAL RIPOFF. STAY AWAY.

Steve Martin was awesome helping me moving some electrical stuff out of the way of my wall paneling project. He was prompt, personable, and did a great job.

Two electricians, Kyle and Nicholas, showed up right on time. They were polite, efficient, and friendly. They listened really well to my explanation of what was going on, checked everything out, and had the problem fixed in under 45 minutes. We've called Berk's for years now when we have the occasional electrical problem, and they've always been terrific. Happy to report they remain as great as ever.

Berk’s Electrical & Lighting is absolutely the Best of the Best! We had a large custom built ultrasonic cutting machine in our factory for two years waiting for the manufactures to clear Covid travel restrictions into the USA from Italy. The manufacturer was to provide 4 to 6 weeks advanced notice of arrival. Well… everything went wrong, and we had to scramble to find a company to facilitate the electrical run & hookup in 4 days. We had to dissemble one machine, have the electricians perform some of the work, then reassemble the new machine and then complete the electrical drop & subsequent final hook-up.

Some companies took a day just to respond to our initial call, some companies said they couldn’t get to our project for weeks & others didn’t reply at all. Luckily Berk’s Electrical & Lighting has an actual office staffed with delightful and knowledgeable people. They were there to save us from absolute potential disaster. Berk’s had a knowledgeable representative come survey our site, our unusual machine’s power needs as well as the delicate timing requirements. At the initial survey they accepted the job, all it’s complexities & our ridiculous time restraints. Berk’s saved us from having to wait 6 months until the manufacturers next trip to the States. Berk’s Electrical & Lighting’s installers showed up to perform a step-down power conversation, conduit run & a ceiling drop with a 440 V, 3 Phase P-N-P-+ (whatever all that means) & the machine hook up.

Disaster fell on first day of installation, Berk’s discovered & the manufacturer confirmed, all the provided electrical requirements were incorrect. Berk’s Electrical & Lighting was on top of everything in blazing speed. They found an alternative power location, located & acquired a very unusual SOS power cable as a temporary solution which allowed for the continuation of our machine’s installation. Another crew showed up to provide a 100ft conduit run and the new power drop location. We had 3 different crews working over the course of our project and all understood the project prior to their arrival, were experienced in their profession, clean & considerate. Having ran a manufacturing company for over 30 years, we’ve used a over a dozen electrical contactors as our needs have changed & none of them had ever had as many obstacles to overcome as Berk’s Electrical & Lighting had to deal with… and none of them has ever been as pleasant, professional, and pliable as Berk’s. They will now be our only source for all our electrical work going forward.

The electrician, Michael, diagnosed the problems immediately. He gave a fair quote, did the work quickly, was very neat/clean.
