We had hired Paulino for a project that involved upgrading our outdoor seating area from stucco to stacked stone. Because the seating area is a semi-circle, we had to make sure the stacked stone panel we chose would be good to work with due to the curve and the amount of cutting that had to be done. Paulino took the time on a few occasions to meet with me at stone places and make suggestions. Out of the 3 other companies we received quotes from, he was the only one that took the time to do this and explain how the cutting would be performed because it was meticulous work. His guys showed up on time every day, worked the full day, and cleaned up before they left. I'm a perfectionist and I couldn't be happier with the result. They did an amazing job.

We also had a second project going on at the same time as the seating area. We wanted a small raised stone planter bed in our whole backyard area with a drip line and new soil. We had hired a different contractor for this job but ended up firing him after 4 days for various reasons. We had asked Paulino if he could step in and finish the job for us. Paulino was gracious enough to do so. They were able to fix various mistakes from the prior contractor and even though we had a couple tricky areas where the stone install wasn't quite right they didn't hesitate to fix it immediately. I was so happy and amazed with how they worked out the problem to my satisfaction. They were finished with this project in 5 days and again cleaned up left our backyard spotless.

We have had contractors in the past for various upgrades to the house, but I have to say no one had impressed me the way Paulino and his crew did. His guys are great. They showed up on time, worked all day, and cleaned up before they left. They do outstanding work. Customer satisfaction is important to them and they want you to be happy. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with Tavera's Custom Landscape.

Tavera’s Custom Landscaping did an outstanding job of transforming our front yard into a water free landscape, and his company also created a new paver parking spot, retaining wall, and paver walkway in our front yard. Paulino Tavera was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Paulino explained the process of the work that I wanted performed and was very easy to call or text with questions. He briefed me on his progress, his friendly crew worked hard and fast every day and kept their large work area very clean, and he allowed me to add additional work as the project progressed. I cannot stress how happy and content I am with the retaining wall, pavers, and rock landscaping job his company performed. The finished work has really improved my home’s appearance. Hired Tavera to change all softscape, build a modern trellis, re-tile our pool and other tile work in additin to a new irrigation and lighting. The owner Paulino brought samples, laid out all plants, even bringing little bags of multch options. The crew was very nice, talented and hard working. Pricing is very fair. We are super happy, would highly recommend Tavera!!!

Taveras Custom Landscape just finished our front and backyard and did an amazing job. They also completed a new driveway with pavers and stack stone for our new outdoor barbecue and fireplace. High quality, attention to detail and finished the job on time. They worked with us when we made changes and completed a great plant selection. I would recommend them to anyone.

Folks, if you are looking for the absolute best landscaping experience as a homeowner, this is the company you want to hire. From start to finish they worked hard to make sure that our job was done on time. They even came out several Saturdays to make sure we stayed on time. My neighbors were astounded by this and now that the project is complete, everyone wants to be in our backyard. Paulino and his guys are absolutely first rate to work with and the results speak for themselves. They go above and beyond in every way.

I recommend Caliscapes OC for a number of reasons. We needed help and they delivered. We wanted landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation and lighting to do a front yard make-over that complied with OC Water District's rebate requirements. We had to have drought-tolerant plants and a tree to replace an old olive that was a focal point of the yard. It all started with Oscar's love of plants and his ability to visualize a solution. Surprisingly, the design was much more lush than anticipated. The flowering plants and tree met our needs, provided beauty, a variety colors-textures and attracts humming birds, butterflies and bees. There was a seamless transition from concept to completion with Victor and his team. Once they committed to a schedule, the project was done on time and within budget. We'll use them again when the need arises.

Victor and Oscar do amazing work from start to finish. I debated using my gardener for landscape work but quickly learned that he wasn’t suited for the task. When Oscar arrived to help visualize and provide estimates, it was evident that these guys know exactly how to run their business. Then, when Victor arrived to begin the work, he and his crew worked tirelessly and paid attention to every detail. Seriously, Victor is a true pro and he’s meticulous in everything he does. Above all this, these two guys and their crew are respectful, hard working, and just great to work with. They are always on time and the support that follows the work is just as great as the work. Just recently, Victor fixed a problem with our main valve for the sprinklers- yet another botched job from my “gardener”. I have no doubt these guys are going to be the premier landscape and hardscape provider in all of OC in a few years.

Oscar and Victor were both great to work with on a landscape remodel of our backyard, where they did hardscape work removing pavers, swapping old artificial turf for grass, installing new plants/mulch, and putting down sprinklers/irrigation.
Before we signed on with them, we were super impressed with Oscar on a personalized visit to the plant nursery where he laid out the garden's proposed vegetation to help us visualize what it would look like.
Work was then completed ahead of schedule.
Afterwards, they've been a huge help with support. We've never had to maintain a yard ourselves, and they've been great with questions and advice over text. It's clear that these guys are super knowledgable and passionate about their work.
