Helpful and friendly staff. Healthy plants and one of only a few nurseries that carry bare root fruit trees!

Nice little nursery/garden center. Extra points for having a few hoya plants in their house plant selection. Busy road.

A good place to shop with a variety of products for every other event. Sales and discounts are offered from time to time. Ample parking space.

Went to look for decorative plastic pots. Found on awesome selection of decorative plastic pots suitable for semihydroponics on shelves. Also takes samsung pay.

Always a beautiful selection with many native plants and specialty plants to choose from. Also a great gift shop!

Great variety for a small-town nursery. They have the best variety of six-packs I've found in the East Bay. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

This is a nice community Nursery with a lot of different plants as well as garden decorations. I would give it additional points actually for the extra decorations artwork they carry since it's really pretty spectacular

I’ve always had a great experience at this nursery. The folks are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I enjoy supporting a local business, as well.

Cute little nursery. Good amount of pots, garden decor and such. Also has a number of different kinds of dirt.
Plant selection some what limited compared to other nursery's. Overall, I'd visit again.

Friendly and very helpful staff and a good selection of outdoor and indoor plants. They could up some of their garden art pieces, but this is a quibble.

They had some nice plants and a good sized outdoor section but when I brought my items to the desk I couldn't get someone to ring me out. 2 employees walked right past me and didn't care that I was waiting. Not planning to return

As of April 30th, 2021 they have a fantastic selection of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers, pumpkins, tomatillos, and more. I was really impressed by the variety of vegetable starts. I think I'll reconsider going to other retailers now that I've seen the unique varieties they offer here. I'm so happy I stopped by today!

I was unfortunately..discriminated against!! I approached 2 older people that work there this morning and they both ignored me. Disappointing we still have to deal with this. I’ll stick to my own Orchard Nursery in Lafayette ..at least there I am treated like a HUMAN BEING.💔💔💔

I am a long time customer of McDonnell Nursery. Everyone working there is friendly and helpful with the selection of plants, advice for growing conditions, and problem solving.Their plants are of the highest quality.

I love McDonald’s nursery! 5 years ago my husband and I went there to buy a Christmas tree. We found a beautiful 11’ tall Canadian blue spruce and it has been a beautiful show stopper every Christmas. That was the start of our collection at McDonald’s nursery. The staff are always so kind and friendly and Very knowledgeable. We pretty much decorated our entire garden from here and everything has held up beautifully years later so we are very happy and would recommend you guys to anyone. Thanks for always having what we need,

This is a terrific family owned nursery that has been in Orinda for many decades. The staff is always helpful and delightful to deal with and their rose classes are especially good.

McDonnell has been around forever I went there the other day and bought some annuals for color and some herbs and a perennial.. prices are very reasonable and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is a wonderful nursery.
