Chris did a great job with our yard. He was highly communicative, worked quickly, and picked beautiful drought-tolerant plants for our yard. I highly recommend Earthtones for your landscaping needs!

We worked with Chris/Earthtones in early 2024 for our front and backyards and had a great experience. Chris was transparent about pricing and budget, straightforward about timelines, and communicative about every step of the process. We truly appreciated the clear communication and daily updates.

Thanks to Chris, we now have beautiful, clean, and low maintenance front & back yards that we love spending time in!

Chris has completed several landscape jobs for me going back to 2013. He always does an amazing job! He has a great eye for design and pays close attention to detail. I have been very pleased with the results every time! He is easy to work with, communicates clearly, has good ideas, and does what he says!

Chris recently did an extensive landscaping project for us including a retaining wall. He is highly knowledgeable and great at explaining the what, the why and the how. He also has a great eye aesthetically and really knows how to best design the space. Would highly recommend him!

Chris did a great job on our front and side yard: horizontal gapped Japanese-influenced fence and stain, turf prep and install, drought resistant plant install, future electrical install (wire readiness, no fixtures), and new concrete driveway and walking paths. We had a lot of different elevations and not a straight line in sight to start with, but his eye for design and detail really pulled together our landscaping into something lovely (and on schedule).

In particular, Chris was very detailed to where finishes abutted and definitely had an artisan’s eye when it came to our fence install—I appreciated this since I’m in the commercial construction industry and rarely find someone more finicky about the final look than me.

Highly recommend Chris for any outdoor design and installation needs!

Chris of Earthtones has done work for us several times over the past three or four years. We live on a bluff overlooking the ocean. The strong winds, salt air, deer and other creatures make it a real challenge to find plants that will work. Chris has met that challenge with an excellent selection of succulents and other plants and with knowledge of what will and will not work. He has a great eye for artistic placement of the plants and working in rocks and logs. Chris shows up when expected and works very hard and doesn't waste time. His prices are reasonable.

Chris is amazing! About a year ago he replaced our traditional lawn with beautiful, drought resistant, very low maintenance landscaping. (Our water bill has been cut in half! ) The yard is now a lovely garden. People comment on how beautiful it is- even the UPS guy. We love it!

Chris is amazing to work with! He listens carefully, stays on time and on budget. He is an expert on what plants will work here in the Bay Area and on the Coast ( we are up off of Skyline and Sharp Park). His designs are beautiful and he is so easy to work with. If you want a beautiful, low maintenance drought resistant yard or garden we highly recommend Chris!

Earthtones did a fantastic job on our backyard turf project. Chris was very responsive, easy to work with, and paid close attention to detail throughout the process. Chris has an eye for design, and made many positive recommendations to improve our overall project. He was an excellent communicator, and stuck to the timeline and pricing in the proposal. We are thrilled with the outcome, and we would recommend Earthtones Landscaping to anyone considering a landscaping project.

Chris included us in decision making, gave us lots of options, advised us as to optimal choices of which plants would do best in our particular space. He cleaned up our old landscaping and took away the debris. He planted new plants that we chose together. He repaired our drip system and lighting system. And he was able to do it all in two days within the budget we agreed upon. Chris is pleasant to work with, very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. We will definitely hire him for future landscaping work. And recommend him with ultimate satisfaction ratings.

Chris completely transformed our front and back yards. Prior to starting, we discussed our basic wants- low maintenance, low water use- and a price target, and then left everything to him. Five years later we remain very happy with the results. All the plants still look great, the drip system has been perfect, and it has required minimal upkeep.

Chris did an excellent job landscaping our backyard. I gave him a very general idea of what I was looking for and he turned it into a beautiful outdoor space. We absolutely love it and I'll be calling on him again once I'm ready to landscape the front yard as well!

Chris Pappada of Earthtones Landscaping transformed our aging, wood-chipped lawn into a beautiful, drought-resistant landscape. As a professional designer, he combines a strong creative vision with a customer-focused and collaborative approach. Chris's humble personality makes him easy and fun to work with. He is transparent about costs and was within the budget and timeline we discussed. Overall, the experience and outcome were great.

If you are seeking to transform your landscape, reach out to Chris; he will exceed your expectations!

For anyone in the drought tolerant landscape market, I highly recommend Chris and Earthtones Landscaping. They just finished a custom designed landscape for our backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the work or the overall experience. The project was done on time and within budget (despite my requests for a few out-of-scope additions, which he pleasantly accommodated). Not only is Chris easy to work with, but he's also an excellent designer, ethical, reliable, transparent, and in frequent communication about progress. And based on his work ethic, he really enjoys the work (he even took our bins out to the curb and brought them back one week when we forgot, and we didn't even ask him to!). 10 stars!

Chris does amazing work! And most importantly high quality work. It was a pleasure to work with him and everything turned out incredible. My front yard looks amazing and I’ve had several compliments from neighbors. I would highly recommend EarthTones landscaping!

Chris completed our front yard renovation last year, and he did a fantastic job. The project involved removal of the previous plants & rocks, construction of a fence & gate, installation of artificial turf and drought tolerant landscaping with a stone walkway. Chris was very straightforward about the project and he prioritizes doing the work the right way. We appreciated his attention to detail and transparency throughout the process. For example, he gave us specific choices about materials along with the pros and cons of each and he also ensured all plants were non-toxic for pets. Very happy with the end result - we love our front yard and we still get compliments on a regular basis. I highly recommend Earthtones to others.

Not professional//////

Kristopher is one in a million! Honest, experienced, caring contractors are like hens teeth and he’s one of them! Excellent communication, stuck by us when permits/building department issues arose. Finished on time and at the price discussed. He’s our go-to guy from now on!

We had a great experience working with Creggan Construction from start to finish. The owner, Christy, was easy to communicate with and remained actively involved throughout the project. He was present on-site during the work, which gave us added confidence that everything was being handled properly. It was clear he takes pride in both his business and the quality of work being delivered.

Our project included replacing several windows, some siding and new trim work. The finished result exceeded our expectations, and we were very pleased with how everything turned out. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident, and the upgrades made a noticeable improvement to the overall appearance of our home.

His crew was professional, punctual, and respectful of our property. They arrived on time each day, stayed productive, and made sure to clean up the work area before leaving. Overall, this was a smooth and positive experience, and we would not hesitate to work with Christy and his team again in the future.

It was easy to communicate with Christy and his team, and he listened to my requests and concerns.

Christy is amazing, he is very passionate with his work. You will not go wrong hiring this man.

I have rented Creggan Constructions dumpster several times in the past couple of years. I have no complaints, Excellent service.
