Renovating or building a house can be an overwhelming and costly experience, often testing one's patience and financial resources. However, the impact of this experience can vary significantly depending on the contractor you choose.

Two years ago, I entrusted PCI Construction with the task of renovating an aging condo that was on the brink of collapse. In just two months, they transformed it into a beautiful, modern, and inviting space—all at a reasonable cost.

Given my positive experience, I turned to them again for my recent new home project, and I have been met with nothing but professionalism and honesty. What could have been a stressful ordeal has instead become an invigorating journey that fills me with excitement and anticipation.

I have nothing but good things to say about PCI construction. My wife and I purchased an older home (1941) in berkeley which was in dire need of updating. We were very lucky to find Hamid, PCI construction, and Tino (the foreman for our project) to help us turn the home into our perfect vision.

We had PCI construction remodel our kitchen and half-bath, refinish or replace the entirety of the hardwood flooring, upgrade the plumbing to copper, upgrade the whole house electrical from knob and tube, run CAT-6 and low voltage wiring throughout the home, replace some exterior doors, and paint the entire inside.

It was a big project, but everything was completed on schedule and expeditiously. We bought the home at the end of april, moved into the completed project by mid - july. No delays, no problems, no hassles.

From day one, Hamid and Tino worked with us to understand what we wanted in our remodel. They never said, "no" or "it can't be done." They always found a way to make our ideas reality. And they offered their own helpful and practical suggestions on how to improve on our ideas. Hamid frequently visited the home with us to go over the progress and ask questions about things we might want or not want. Every detail was attended to.

The men employed by PCI are top notch. Everyone was skilled, respectful, and friendly. They always took time to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. Tino is a gem. WHEN you decide to use PCI for your needs, see if Tino is available - he is a superb craftsman.

This was the first remodel for my wife and I and I have to say that it was a perfect experience. After speaking to so many people who had bad experiences with remodels, we anticipated having at least some minor problems - but we had none. We could not have asked for a better experience.

You need to consider PCI construction for any and all of your remodel or construction needs. We will definitely use Hamid, PCI, and hopefully Tino again for our future projects.

PCI Construction did an extensive renovation of our house in 2020. It included both internal and external work. The end result was outstanding. The workers were professional, courteous, exhibited a great attention to detail, and took great care of our home while working on it. And we are planning to use them for a kitchen renovation in early 2024.

As for Hamid, the owner, his insight and experience allowed us to make better use of the space in the house. He listened to us throughout, and was really good at sharing his ideas. He was focused on making his customers happy and worked with us throughout the renovation process to make sure any concerns were addressed and questions answered. He also exhibited a good eye in helping us in the selection of materials and colors. In addition to his crew of workers from PCI, he has an extensive network of trade professionals that he works with.

PCI renovated our apartment in Emeryville in July 2021. The team did a fantastic job turning a half-century old apartment into a new home with a clean, modern look. Completely refurbished and made the pool like new. The costs, the timing and sequence of the choices to retain and fit with some of existing tiles were presented well and easily understood. Covers were used to minimize dust and the daily clean-up was great. Especially appreciated when they decided that a replacement tile choice wasn't the best and proposed another which does works. We have used them for years for maintenance and recommend all their services without hesitation.
