Reviews of local pros in Redwood City, California

Angel has been taking care of our live oak for over 12 years. He’s always easy to work with. I call him up, set up an appointment, then he comes to my house to assess the situation. He’s patient and explains the work that needs to be done. He’s very knowledgeable about trees.

His crew does excellent work and cleans up thoroughly. They’ve done some big projects over the years. Once, we had their crew take down a 70 year old Monterey pine that had slowly died from the dreaded bark beetle. The tree was close to the house. They did a great job removing the old soul, then ground down the stump. For our live oak, they’ve cared for it as it’s grown from a child to a full blown adult whose canopy dwarfs our house now. They’ve trimmed and shaped it and added cables as a crutch for its poor structure. The oak is happy and in good health.

Most recently, like many Californians, our homeowners insurance canceled our policy because the oak tree was “too close to our house.” They’ll fly a drone over your house and look for any excuse to cancel the policy. We had Brothers come out and trim the oak, lifting the canopy far above the house. Angel was invested in helping us get a new policy, providing whatever documentation we needed.

I will continue to use Brothers to care for our trees. Just like you want a good doctor to care for your family, you also want a good service to care for your trees. If they could speak, they’d ask for Angel.

Excellent from the bidding to the finished job. More than I expected in terms of expertise and execution. Angel and team really know what they are doing... very delighted!!! I highly recommend Brothers Services Tree Care.

Angel and his crew has done many jobs for me and my real estate clients over the past 8 years. They are always professional and deliver excellent results. Angel really knows trees, and his crew prune the trees carefully for the beauty of health of the trees. Angel is also very polite and kind to the neighbors. He was able to access the neighbor's backyard to remove a huge pine tree (which includes taking down part of the fence, and put the fence back up after the tree trimming).

We hired Brothers tree service to remove three very large redwood trees from our yard. Angel was great with thoroughly evaluating if the trees really needed to be removed and helping us navigate the process of obtaining a permit for removal from RWC. This included “trenching” to demonstrate root intrusion under foundation and sewer line. His crew were very good and operated safely and cleaned up after themselves every day on this two week long project. They also cleaned our neighbors yards and dealt with locals demanding to see permits for tree removal very courteously. Highly recommend them for large tree removal projects especially redwoods, if you ever need.

Very pleased with Brothers Services. Will definitely use them again in the futere. Showed up on time for the initial meeting, easy to schedule, did great work trimming the live oak tree and left my yard cleaner than it had been. Very competitive, reasonably priced.

I've been using Brothers Tree Services for a long time now. They are professional, hard-working, polite and do amazing work. They been helpful trimming all my tress ranging from large oaks to overgrown shrubs. I've had them take down a large pine too. Angel is helpful with advice and recommendations. Highly recommended.

Angel and his crew at Brothers Tree Care are great at what they do. They are conscientious, friendly, and clean up after themselves. We have hired Brothers several times over the last two decades. Angel is excellent at assessing and recommending what trimming, etc. is needed to maintain the thriving health of trees, plants, hedges and other landscaping. He provides a written estimate with service options to consider, in advance of scheduling any work. Ken Gendotti in San Carlos

I've used Brothers Services for four different jobs now. Each time was a great experience.
The first time I called them was to get professional help to save a tree that appeared to be dying. Previous consultants only wanted to cut it down, but Angel spent 20 minutes with me advising on how to care for it - which was what I was looking for.
Since then, I've used Brothers for big tree removal and pruning jobs. All were done really professionally - always on time and with a lot of care not to damage anything. I highly recommend Brothers Services.

Brothers did a great job trimming a huge oak tree in our front yard. After seeing the tremendous amount of work and manpower needed for the job, I think their fee was very fair. I felt they were also honest and transparent in their evaluation and pricing. I would definitely call them the next time we need our oak tree trimmed. Highly recommend.

I used Brothers to trim redwood trees in our backyard. They are very thorough and did such a great job trimming and thinning out our tree. They protected our deck and windows and my neighbors windows. We’re very happy with their work and they cleaned up very well afterwards. Would definitely recommend!

Angel and his crew at Brothers Tree Care are exceptional. For over a decade they managed the health of our very large Valley Oak. Since it hangs over two homes, they had to selectively cut limbs to maintain its balance and strength. They pruned and shaped the tree on three separate visits over an eleven year period—doing a remarkable and fairly priced job each time. And yesterday they pruned and shaped our large but neglected Liquid Amber tree—also to great effect. I cannot praise Angel and Brothers enough.

I required some major tree work & interviewed a dozen arborists. Brothers was the only entity that provided photographs of the project with their quote. I chose them, although they were not the least expensive. They were amazing. The crew was professional and experienced. The meticulously trimmed my 30 foot hedge in places by hand. They had smiles on their faces the entire time. Both brothers came by multiple times to manage the job. I recommend them without hesitation.

Brothers Tree service went above and beyond with the service they provided. I was referred to them from a local arborist back in 2021 and I have worked with them 3 times in providing tree trimming services. Most recently, I had them remove a massive tree near my house. Each time, Angel provided clear instructions on how his crew would set up and provide coverage on my house to avoid any exterior damage. They brought plywood to protect the roof and also hung tarps to prevent any scratching on my recently painted out. I received a total of 4 quotes on my initial project and the Brother's Services Tree team was fair with their pricing and very flexible on timing as well. I would be happy to provide a referral to the team. They did an excellent job all 3 times!

I needed some trees trimmed to protect my property and Angel and the entire team at Brothers Services Tree Care were amazing. They were knowledgeable, the fees were very reasonable, they are always polite and accommodating. Angel and his team obtained all the proper permits, worked with the neighbors and when they were done, cleaned the area better than it was when they came. On top of all that, my trees look healthier! I only thought this was to protect my property, I didn't expect I would love they way my trees look. Simply put, I highly recommend Brothers Services Tree Care.

I couldn't be happier with the incredible service I received from Brothers Service. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Their team expertly trimmed my oak tree, transforming it into a healthier, more beautiful version of itself while ensuring my large rose garden remained clean and safe through out the process. The took the time to explain their plan, answered all my questions with patience, and showed genuine care for my oak tree and its long-term health. The oak tree looks amazing and the sunlight now reaches my roses that have been hidden in shade for a long time. This was so important to me. I highly recommend Brothers Services and will be calling them again! Heather.

Brothers Services did a great job on our lot with about 9 trees trimmed and balanced, plus annual fire reduction work as required by our county regulations. They did much higher quality work than our previously used vendor.

We were very pleased with work by Brothers Services Tree Care. Angel Morales provided a prompt and accurate work proposal. The three workmen arrived promptly, worked hard, and did a great job, including some branch pruning at the end at our request. Well done.

Brothers Tree did a great job removing a huge tree in my backyard. It took them 4 days, they cleaned the area up each day before they left. The crew was friendly and easy to talk to.

Fantastic job. We had 2 very large Oak trees that were in big need of trimming as one was too close to the house and both were blocking our views and too much sunlight. They too great care not to damage any of the underlying landscaping and did a magnificant job of thinning and rasing the canopy while maintaining the integrity and shape of the trees. Before and after photos of the largest tree shown.

Wow! These guys were so much better than companies we have used in the past.
Years ago we hired one of those, "we are in your neighborhood" companies. They left a total mess.
The last company was "we are the masters of all things trees" folks. The work left my spouse really upset.
Davey guys were friendly, professional and on time. They were very clear about what was needed and did exactly what we talked about. They left my left my spouse very happy.

Highly recommend. I had excellent experience with Davey. Cut down 2 trees and grind the stump. The quote was fair. Workers were professional. Job was followed up and completed to my satisfaction.
