If you're looking for rare palms Gary is YOUR guy. He not only found us an awesome mule palm to install in our backyard, but he found me a rare palm as well that you can't find anywhere else. He also helped us move a 500 lb boulder in our yard! He is very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and a YouTube star too! If you watch some of his YouTube videos you'll quickly understand just how much passion and knowledge he and his team have for palms and tropicals/sub-tropicals. Highly recommended by me and all my family.

I stopped by this beautiful nursery while driving to Marin County. The scale and variety of plants was astounding. Avocados, citrus, succulents, and palm trees. The manager Kyle explained how every plant there is special -large, healthy, and rare plants!

It is like an amusement park for palm and tropical plant fans.

Amazing collection of palms, avocados and succulents. Kyle was very helpful and VERY busy! We picked up a GEM Avocado tree and will probably get a pygmy date palm. Pricey but they have plants I can't find anywhere else.

Gary and his team are phenomenal. He helped us transform a boring yard into a tropical paradise. Gary really knows his stuff, recommending palms that would work for our specific micro-climate in the bay area. He genuinely cares and doesn't try to oversell you. Highly recommend.

Many options for larger avocado and palm trees! Super helpful with types of trees, care and very friendly service. I didn’t even have to leave home to get what I wanted as they were able to send me photos of inventory! They also deliver and plant for you if needed. Highly recommend!

Original review from 2025: Lovely gardening service that helps me keep my yard in shape!

Update 2026: Jeanna has been doing maintenance for a while now and helping with projects as needed. It's really wonderful having someone help with the yard that cares as much about the wildlife as I do. Relocating salamanders as needed, preserving butterfly habitat, rejoicing with me over the variety of bees and monarch eggs on the milkweed. Removing the most noxious weeds by hand and leaving the welcome ones. And basically putting up with all my micromanaging and requests for help. I love gardening but can't safely do it alone and thanks to Edible Ecology I can really enjoy my garden even when my health issues flare up.

Jeremy was a pleasure to work with - knowledgeable, responsive and reliable. I'd gladly work with him again and highly recommend.

We worked with Jeremy from Edible Ecology on a large garden project, and we couldn't be happier! We highly recommend Jeremy and his expertise.

Jeremy came out and gave a very informed consultation about my trees and we came up with a plan for transforming my backyard. We're working toward that now and his knowledgeable maintenance crew takes care of things each month. They ended up saving me a lot of headache and money over what I had originally planned on doing. I'm extremely pleased with Edible Ecology!

Edible Ecology does great work. Throughout the various projects we have done together, I have found Jeremy to be creative, forward thinking and a good listener. He and his crew bring heart and energy to their projects and are a pleasure to be around. I highy recommend Jeremy Watts and Edible Eology.

I consulted Jeremy about an indoor ant problem, an aphid and white fly infestation on my rose bushes, and the state of my garden generally (I'm staying in a house with a very suburban and somewhat sterile outdoor area, so I wanted to make better use of it). As I have two small dogs with very sensitive systems, I really can't use anything toxic. Jeremy gave me great advice for repelling the ants out of the house, using some items I already have at home to save on cost, and he showed me some products I could easily order online. For the roses, he gave me simple instructions for treating the aphids and the flies, including the right time of day to perform the tasks, and advised that the ground around them should be mulched to save on water cost and reduce weeds, and estimated how much mulch I'd need based on what he could see over Zoom. He also told me I could use the decorative crabapple trees to grow apples by grafting, when I could find scions to do that, and what tools I'd need, along with how to use my fence as a trellis to grow other food items if I wanted! I found Jeremy very professional, friendly, and approachable, and would definitely use his services again.

Jeremy and his team have been trimming my fruits trees every winter for the last 5 years. They do an excellent job, very thoughtful and responsive. The trees produced well and they always clean up after the job is done.
