Plumbing reviews in Riverside, California

Poor service! They never called back. I sent over the the certification they required, got no reply in almost two weeks. What a joke is, the certification was issued by them. I wonder how such a business can exist and how they get licensed. Maybe we need to speak with the licensor office?

My septic tank has not been pumped in 27 years. My concrete contractor excavated the tank, West Coast came out, and Juan did a thorough job of pumping out 27 years worth of mud and yuck. He pumped out both the solids and liquid tank, and put plenty of water in afterwards to ensure that the leach lines were free-flowing. When he was done, the walls of the tank were nice and shiny, and ready for another 27 years worth of poo....I am very happy with their service and pricing, and i highly recommend West Coast Sanitation!

My dad johnnie is a very hard working man. He leaves everyday at 5:00 AM to go help others. My dad is an amazing person because he helps and cares for others and puts them before himself. Some days he doesn’t eat and he is still working on an empty stomach. This shows you should have my dad and Appreciate what hard work he does for you. Thank you for your time in reading my report my daddy and my aunt are the owners of this business thank you.

When I called, I had a prompt response and they scheduled our service for a couple of days out - which met our needs very well. Not only did the guys arrive as promised they performed the service very efficiently.
They were also very knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend WCS, Inc. and their team to anyone. Not only was the service great - the price was very fair. -
I phoned West Coast Sanitation to hire professionals to pump my Septic tank, test the entire system. Within two days, Johnny sent two crews one to pump the septic tank and the second crew came with a truck that has sophisticated equipment to locate and test the leach lines. I can say staff were highly professional and well trained. Work took three hours to complete and a professional certificate was e-mailed to me within 48 hours. Thank you West Coast Sanitation!

We got hacked up on Christmas day with a house full of family. Called West Coast the next day and they came out right away. Only 0.7 miles away, courteous on the phone and the workers were real polite. They did not rush and straightened the yard out....It has been 19 years since last pumped. They explained everything about our tank and when we should pump next, not 19 years... Highly praise this company...

Johnny and his guys did a great job repairing one of my seepage pits. The took great care of the surrounding plants and even repaired the sprinkler lines they had to cut. Johnny gave a reasonable estimate and held to it. I definitely highly recommend them.

Johnny has poor communication and to get a hold of him is pure luck. Texts and voicemails do not prompt a response either. There is also a complete lack of transparency when it comes to a jobs completion. Johnny works on his own schedule and not even his office manager is aware of what he is doing on any given day. Avoid this company if you are on a timeline.

If you don't know what to look out for with swindlers, stay away! & Pay the fee to use your credit card so you can file a chargeback with your bank if they don't keep their promises!
This is a lengthy review as Johnny with West Coast Sanitation has warned me he takes these reviews "very seriously" & "will counter everything I say with paperwork & proof." So here's my story.
I needed to locate my septic tank & leach lines so I didn't put a storage container on top of them. My father-in-law recommended West Coast Sanitation. I reached out to West Coast, told them what I was trying to do & we scheduled a time for his guys to come out. No price was ever discussed before the arrival of West Coasts workers.
His gentleman arrived, we chatted about what was going on, & I asked them what this would cost. He informed me it'd be $750 to locate the tank & lines, & to pump it. I didn't want to pay that much and I didn't need it pumped, it was working just fine, so I asked how much without the pump? He informed me they have to pump it to certify it. I was a little taken back because this is the first time certification was mentioned, so I asked him "There's a certification?" he said "Yes"
I asked how much without the certification or pumping, how much just to locate it. He informed me it'd be the same $750.
$750 still felt a little high to me for what I really needed, but with a certification that "requires a pump", & my tank probably hadn't been pumped in 8 years, and as we didn't have to certify the tank when we bought the house 2 years ago, I found the value in doing it & agreed to the $750 for the Locate, Dig, Pump, & Certification.
Being more than I was hoping to spend, I was curious how much more it would be to get the proper paperwork to submit the septic to the city so I could build additional structures. If it was only $250 or something in just paperwork, why would I not have them do that while they were out at my house. I was told to not do it now, if I'm NOT building it now as building codes & standards change, to wait until I'm actually ready to break ground. So I obliged & just moved forward with the $750 originally agreed upon finding the extra value in the pump & certificate.
I signed the paperwork for the work to start (Which granted does not say anything about certifying, which I will admit, that was my error for being a good human & actually believing somebody would do what they said they would do, life lesson learned, get it all in writing)
The gentleman were great, they found the tank, found the leach lines, dug up the lids, a few hours later another team pumped it. As the first team was packing up, I stopped the main person that was working on the project & said "Hey you said something about a certification. Where is that?" his response & I Quote "They will send it to you, that's why I took down your email address" once again being trusting, I said "OK" & off they went.
2 weeks went by, no certificate, 3rd and 4th week I sent an email, no responses. The next week I called & left a voicemail & Johnny did call me back within a couple hours, he apologized for not responding via email. He said they were having email server issues, I thought that was a little suspicious. I explained to Johnny what was going on & what was promised & he was nice at first, but in a nut shell said that's not what the paperwork or emails say. I reiterated the whole conversation I had with his guy when he was leaving about the Certification & Email address, & Johnny doubled down. I asked him how we can make this right he said, "Make what right? We did what was on the paperwork & what was emailed about" After a little back & forth, & me trying to give the benefit of the doubt, & the opportunity for Johnny to come up with some win-win solution, Johnny became hostile & started yelling, which in my opinion is unprofessional, so I ended the call. It felt that he didn't care about being a good business owner & putting the customer first so why bother.

I called and I can almost guarantee the person that answered the phone was doing lines! 👃 💨😆

SCAM. These people are atrocious. We hired them as they were "The Inland Empires Trusted Source For Septic Tank Services" but once they received payment they completely ran circles around us and gave us nothing in return. I called Johnny and asked him what is going on with our project and he froze and hung up on me and blocked my number after that. There are several other reviews stating similar experiences. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM.

Just recently, the existing septic leach system at our home became saturated and failed to percolate any additional effluent. We had West Coast Sanitation analyze the existing system and following their findings, had them install a new leach bed system. West Coast Sanitation procured all of the necessary permits from the County of Riverside, and performed the required work in a very professional manner as well as for a reasonable price. When West Coast Sanitation was complete with the installation, they left the work site in better shape than how they found it. Thanks you Johnnie and the entire crew at West Coast Sanitation for a job WELL Done. In the future, any additional work that we need performed regarding any of our septic systems will be a single call to West Coast Sanitation.

We chose this place because they had nice reviews and was able to service what we needed. As M Mason has stated in the review below, "junk company". This company extorts your pockets and "dilly dallies" around until it's time to leave. And it's not like I just created this account to do a review. I try to be transparent about all my experiences.
We hired West Coast for a certain service and had an appointment for the early morning to clear out some pipes. We understood that this service will be an hourly rate but if they are diligent and efficient, I wouldn't mind. Didn't arrive until 1:35 pm but yeah sure, put down your arrival time and sit in the car for a couple minutes. Then prep your stuff and pretend you're actively working on the issue until it's almost time to leave before bringing out the actual machine to do the job. Then need to come back another day to finish the job because it "got dark". Well... maybe if you came at the appointed time you wouldn't need to come back.... Don't get me started when one of the workers was caught leaning in his car window on his phone texting for 5 minutes. Probably would've been longer if he didn't get caught (Captured on camera).
Session 2, same thing. Same process. Dilly dally until almost time to leave before actually using the specific machine required. Mind you, the pipes were out in the open and not underneath the house or some dark narrow space. Actually had to tell them to stop their work cause they weren't getting anything done. They knew what they were doing.
So you're telling me it takes 6 hours to clear out 40 ft. pipes, especially when I asked for this specialized tool which can clear out the pipes meant for this task?????? Hmmm... maybe it does take 6 hours when 2½ hours were spent prepping or doing naught. I get it... It's Covid. Everyone is hurting and maybe extortion from a professional and moral standpoint is a valid reason.
But wait.... there's more!!!
We reached out to Johnny and no response AT ALL for weeks! Tried to communicate to them in a civil manner and clearly. Nada. Nothing. And when he did reach out, I tried to discuss his worker's actions and give him feedback. Well that was a dumpster fire especially when he threw threats.
These aren't just assumptions or blank statements given. The picture below is a picture of their work vehicle proving that I do have cameras detailing the process. Two sessions, 3+ hours each and yet still have pipes not cleared. If that's what you're looking for in a company, this is the right place! -
Johnny and his crew did a septic cert on a home recently where the previous company that used to pump the system gave a price of nearly $35k to replace the system. Turns out the system was not broken, and didn’t require replacement. Johnny’s honesty and service is something needed when trust is in short supply.

Awesome customer service. Amazing work. Best plumber in Southern California. They installed 5 new toilets in a bar for me. Quickest response rate and whole hearted people. We’ve been having issues with toilets for years, HSQ has solved all of our issues in hours. We’ve called multiple plumbers out to help. No one has been able to do it except HSQ. Thank you HSQ for everything!
