I had shopped around and contacted several companies in the local area and had several quotes for a patio and lawn edging project. Edgar provided the lowest quote and the quickest time frame to complete the project... The work was done quickly and was of high quality. I will probably have one more concrete project I will definitely contact Him again

Edgar's did a great job with our new patio. They also did some brickwork along the edge that turned out very nice. They work with you to help you design your patio and I love the final result. Very professional, did the job quickly and well and I highly recommend them.

Edgars is a gift from God...! I had 2 slabs of concrete walkway that had been pushed up severely from giant tree roots under them and they had become a hazard, so Edgar came over and gave me a good estimate and scheduled the work. He came over with his daughter and they stayed the whole day, not only removing the old sidewalk slabs but also cutting away that huge root, then forming and pouring 2 brand new slabs...what can I say the sidewalk is now perfect and even the tiny decorator stones match the original ones...! Unbelievable I highly recommend Edgar he is wonderful ! George in Roseville

July, 2024. We needed a concrete pad in the backyard for a hot tub / spa. And a trench needed to be cut along the side of the house for the 240V electrical connection. Edgar did both! Very hard to find contractors who will cut trenches. He not only cut the trench, working with the electrician (Americana Electric, also excellent), Edgar removed damaged drainage pipe and replaced it. They also cut the sidewalk on the side of the house to allow for conduit connection to the 50A breaker and poured cement to closely match the existing sidewalk. Their attention to detail is fabulous including restoring the dug up landscaping. When he and his daughter (Mercedes, also very nice) were done, it was like no one was ever here. HIGHLY recommended.

Edgar did a wonderful job of installing a concrete slab for me. He is very professional and gave me good advice and options for the job. He communicated his schedule to me and arrived on time on the work day. The slab came out beautiful. Edgar takes a lot of pride in his work. I'm really glad to have worked with him on my project.

Good and professional

We had Brent, of Granite Bay House Doctors, come by and give up a bid to repair south facing, facia boards and roof beams. The area had extensive dry rot. Within a week Brent and his guys showed up and did all the repairs in a professional manor. We were happy with all aspects of his work. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone needing repairs or other construction.

Had a bunch of small and medium home repairs that I didn't want to spend the weekends doing and others (electrical work) that I didn't have the expertise to do. Brent bought all the parts and did all the repairs. Efficient, timely, and reliable. Will use again and can highly recommend.

Jeff was such a pleasure to work with.

We hired them to install sprinkler system in our home (requirement by county due to an addition we did). Bottom line, it was the most horrible experience ever. Customer service was horrible, communication and expectations were unclear. Their owner was unkind and impatient and a couple of the workers were rude and unprofessional. When we failed inspection a couple of times, one of their workers was busy pointing fingers and absolving their company of any wrongdoing instead of focusing on solutions. Even the fire chief was shocked by their lack of care and interest in getting the sprinkler system to pass inspection. We felt very unsupported and ended up having to figure out what we needed to do to pass inspection. Definitely not using their service again.

We are General contractors/Custom Home Builders in the Bay Area. We have been using Holland Fire for 8 years and highly recommend them. Their office and field staff are very knowledgeable and extremely respectful. They show up on time and most important pass every inspection the first time at a reasonable rate.

I can’t say enough good things about Holland Fire. I first met Jeff and his team while working on a project for a mutual client in 2020 and since then we haven’t had to look elsewhere for a fire sprinkler subcontractor. Their design and field teams have been extremely reliable, Jeff is always reachable and responsive, and I am never surprised by the pricing that he gives on any project. Even during busier times scheduling has never been an issue and they have an excellent track record with passing their inspections on our residential projects. Special shout out to his guys Alex and Vadim for their excellent communication with every install and for keeping us on track. I highly recommend hiring Holland Fire for your next projects.

Found hardware I was looking for

So upset right now! Bought a new Kohler Cimarron toilet to replace broken toilet, nd we all know we hate to do such chores....After installing wax seal which is a pain to align , I begin to assemble the top portion of toilet and I notice that it has already been installed before and the hardware is also missing to attach to the bottom of the tank....Someone else has already used this toilet????....What a horrible experience.....Now still have no working toilet and have to go back to Home Depot and exchange when open and redo the whole thing again.....I work a lot of hours and depend on places to give me the items I paid for....Plain and simple waste of my time......Just no more words to explain how upset I am......

We had a brand new three-ton AC unit installed along with planned HVAC system updates, with the expectation that our airflow and temperature imbalance issues would be resolved in our 972 sq ft home.

From the start, the process was confusing and did not inspire confidence. We were initially told the HVAC system would be replaced, but later informed that the space would not accommodate it as planned. The scope of work seemed unclear and ultimately was not completed as originally explained.

Since installation, we have continued to experience significant temperature imbalance throughout the home. The living room becomes very cold, while the bedroom remains warm and uncomfortable—especially at night. This has been a consistent issue for the past year.

Additionally, the system appears to be oversized for a home of this size. Installing a three-ton unit in a 972 sq ft space raises concerns about improper system sizing, which can lead to short cycling, poor airflow distribution, and uneven temperatures—exactly what we are experiencing.

Communication has also been extremely frustrating. We have struggled to get clear answers or meaningful follow-up regarding these ongoing issues, despite raising concerns multiple times.

We were recently informed that the project passed inspection, but passing inspection does not reflect real-world performance. A properly installed HVAC system should provide consistent comfort throughout the home, and that is not happening here.

After a full year of unresolved issues, incomplete work, and lack of communication, we cannot recommend this company.
