Constraction reviews in Roseville, California
-
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with this home services company. Initially, they quoted a price of $3700 for the work, but it ended up costing nearly 10 times that amount - over $9,000. The quality of work was decent, but the salesperson's commission-driven tactics were glaring.
We needed to redo our fascias and the salesman inspected my home, mentioning we had about 20 broken tiles. He quoted a price for the entire job, including painting, which came out to around $16K. I pointed out that you could get the house done cheaper, but he said they'd paint the fascias if I provided the paint. I signed the contract, but it took two weeks for them to contact me.
When the workers arrived, they inspected my home and discovered a lot more damage than initially reported - over 100 broken tiles and 120 feet of damaged fascia. They found extensive dry rot and asked if I wanted to fix it. I agreed, handed them the paint, but they looked at me suspiciously. The salesman had said they'd paint the fascias as long as I provided the paint, but they claimed it wasn't on the original order.
They begrudgingly painted the fascias, leaving behind 12 visible seams with white "paint" that looked like a bonding agent. When I inspected the work, I noticed this paint was applied unevenly and seemed out of place. The workers left after completing the job without warning me.
I've exchanged emails with the company, insisting they honor their original promise to paint the fascias if I provided the paint. They claimed it wasn't on the order, but that doesn't explain why the workers painted them when I handed over the paint. When I pointed out this inconsistency, they offered to paint the white stripes for $800 and said they'd reach out to me to discuss further. However, they've completely ghosted me since then.
The quality of their work is okay, but the shady salesperson has driven me away from ever using them again. I won't recommend this company to anyone close to me due to the deceptive tactics employed by the salesman. -
I trusted this company, but they've broken that trust. They initially spotted two small leaks and deemed my old roof in great shape. Recently, they inspected it again and now recommend replacing a substantial portion of the 50-year-old roof - which is actually nearing its end of life at 15 years. To make matters worse, I was told that their employees are encouraged to downplay issues to sell more services. Needless to say, I won't be giving them another chance.

The Cobex team delivered top-notch service, with all personnel exhibiting impeccable professionalism. Competitive pricing was matched by high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship, backed by comprehensive warranties. Having worked with them on two properties, I'm consistently impressed with the results. What sets Cobex apart is their efficiency in completing jobs swiftly without compromising quality - essential when dealing with insurance issues like mine, where an old roof was a concern. The end result not only fixed my problems but also gave each home a significant boost in curb appeal thanks to the beautiful new roofs.

We initially chose Cobex due to their numerous positive reviews, but our confidence has waned. After shelling out over $50,000 for a new roof, we're dismayed to find it still leaks. To make matters worse, they now claim responsibility doesn't extend to air conditioning areas - a very disappointing experience.
-
They simplified getting financing for my new roof and delivered on their promises. Quality materials and fair pricing - couldn't ask for better.

We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional work Cobex Roofing put into replacing my nephew's roof.
From the initial meeting with Alex, who set the tone for the project, to its completion, the team consistently demonstrated professionalism, clear communication, and a keen eye for detail.
Special thanks to Norberto Diaz, the crew leader, Lucas Lee, and Mykhailo, who made themselves available every day and kept us informed about progress. The crew worked efficiently, treated our property with respect, and completed the job on schedule while leaving everything spotless each day.
We're thoroughly impressed with the quality of work, which has greatly enhanced my nephew's home's appearance. We'd have no hesitation recommending your services to anyone in need of roofing work. Thank you for a job exceptionally well done.

We had a subpar experience with this company, specifically with their add-on, which arrived past its expiration date. They were one of the first to provide an estimate, though they didn't follow up as promised. However, the actual work was excellent, particularly in terms of craftsmanship and value, leading us to switch to Cobex instead.

Denis delivered a solid presentation and overview of their work. He's local and family-owned, which is a plus in my book. I'm looking forward to working with them again for my upcoming roof replacement project.

I'm extremely satisfied with Junior's team's performance. They thoroughly reviewed the pest report, identified potential issues, and offered a comprehensive bid that covered underlying problems others missed. The crew arrived on schedule, demonstrated impeccable professionalism, and completed the job as planned. The quality and workmanship exceeded my expectations, making me confident in recommending the Cobex roofing team from Fresno for any similar projects.

We're thrilled with the work done by Cobex construction - their team delivered exceptional results. From the initial contact, Eddy, Alex, and Mykhailo worked together seamlessly to bring our vision to life. The new roof is stunning and comes with a 50-year warranty. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, and it's thanks to the hard work of everyone involved. Good job all around - thank you!

We paid for a roof replacement job that didn't quite live up to our expectations. The initial installation went smoothly, taking only two days to complete. The crew did a decent job of cleaning up afterwards, but there's still a lot of leftover supplies from the job that we never got picked up. I'm still waiting for them to take responsibility for those extra supplies, even though they were supposedly part of the original deal. Another issue was that the walkaround and nail-picking process didn't happen as promised - my husband ended up getting two nails in his tire after a flat, which luckily the tire dealer fixed for free.
-
They subcontract out their work, which leads to a poor outcome. The job site is left in disarray, with sealant still wet and trash scattered everywhere. Even the sidewalks, cars, and surrounding areas are affected. The roof was not fully sealed, leaving it sloppy. Despite being promised repairs, none were done. Given this experience, I wouldn't recommend them. They seem to take advantage of vulnerable individuals, including women and seniors.

The materials used were top-notch. The crew handled the old roof removal with care, making sure to avoid damaging nearby plants and trees. When installing the new shingles, they took pains not to damage the gutters. Every inch of the house perimeter was thoroughly swept multiple times, ensuring a spotless finish.
The work crew moved at a brisk pace, demonstrating exceptional skill and attention to detail. They were also courteous and respectful throughout their visit.
A follow-up inspection found some minor issues with shingle alignment, which were promptly addressed by the project manager on site the very next day. The resulting roof looks fantastic – we're thoroughly pleased with the new shingles! -
Our sales rep was spot on, providing solid guidance on what we needed versus what we wanted. The work crew turned out well, demonstrating a focus on safety and respect for our property. Communication between the office and job site was a mixed bag – multiple calls to get in touch with the foreman were required. Despite some delays, the project finally wrapped up between June 5th and June 11th. Overall, the end result looks fantastic, and the workmanship is top-notch.

Cobex started off strong, but things took a turn for the worse.
The initial contract process went smoothly, thanks to Lucas Lee and Alex, who were professional and knowledgeable. The workers seemed reliable, but only time will tell if their work and products hold up. However, subsequent challenges raised concerns. Cobex failed to disclose an extra charge due to the HVAC system on my roof, which should have been included in the initial bid. Additionally, the shingle color was significantly different from what they showed me via email. Furthermore, the cost for 433 sq feet of plywood and labor was exorbitant ($2100). -

I'd rate Cobex roofing the highest if possible - they were set to start work at my grandmother's house tomorrow but unfortunately passed away last night, forcing me to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite the tragic events, the team showed remarkable professionalism and empathy. They didn't seem frustrated or dismissive; instead, they sent a thoughtful flower arrangement to be delivered to my mom, making an otherwise bleak day slightly more bearable.
Thank you Cobex for demonstrating exceptional character and integrity. Your actions had a profound impact on me and mine. To businesses with families that truly care about their clients - thank you again. -
I'm extremely pleased with the service provided by this company. They left my property spotless every day, and the work met my expectations. The quality of their roof is exceptional. I highly endorse them to anyone looking for reliable home services.

As the owner of Angel Arms Learning Center in Carmichael, CA, I was faced with a pressing issue - our 60-year-old roof was in dire need of repairs. Desperate for help, we reached out to Cobex and scheduled an appointment at the beginning of December 2024.
Thomas, a young gentleman from Cobex, visited my school and impressed me with his extensive knowledge and genuine concern for the well-being of the children. He provided us with expert advice on addressing our roof's patchwork repairs that had been in place for years, highlighting the need for a more substantial solution.
Throughout the process, Thomas was an invaluable resource, guiding us through every step, from selecting materials to navigating financing options. I found him to be a top-notch professional who took the time to discuss various alternatives and kept me informed daily about project developments.
Despite the unfortunate timing of our school's closure for the last week of December, which coincided with a period of heavy rain, Thomas worked tirelessly to ensure the project progressed efficiently. A crew of nine professionals was assembled to tackle the roof repair over two-and-a-half days of favorable weather.
I was thoroughly impressed by every individual I met on site - all were courteous, professional, and demonstrated an exceptional work ethic. The speed and quality of their efforts were nothing short of remarkable.
I'm incredibly grateful for the dedication and expertise exhibited by Thomas and his team. Their commitment to delivering a successful project went above and beyond expectations, making what seemed like an impossible task achievable on time.
Thank you to Cobex for sending such exceptional individuals to our doorstep - God bless them all. -
I had an amazing experience with Cobex, thanks to Mike and his team. Completing my roof was quick - over two days - despite the challenging terrain. I have a significant area (around 5000sqft) with steep ridges, which made it even more difficult. The price wasn't the lowest, but I love that they offer a 50-year warranty on both materials and labor, which gives me peace of mind. They exceeded expectations and did an incredible job. Extremely satisfied - thanks Mike and Cobex Construction Group Idaho!

Our experience with Cobex was frustrating from start to finish. Despite completing the project, their shortcuts and lack of communication made our job as a customer extremely challenging. We had to repeatedly seek updates and monitor the work site for quality issues, which were addressed but not always promptly. Unfortunately, "getting it right on the first try" isn't Cobex's approach. The final result was satisfactory, but the entire process was a hassle. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend Cobex to anyone.

I had a disastrous experience with this home services business. From the outset, there was no clear direction or oversight to ensure the job was done right. The representative who provided the quote seemed out of touch with my specific needs, specifically mentioning my garage roof as if it were finished interior space. When I pointed out that I needed venting installed in the attic, my concerns fell on deaf ears. It turned out there was no quality control in place, and once the installation team arrived, they simply dropped off the materials without anyone double-checking to ensure everything was done correctly.
