I came to get a quote about using a rooftop unit on the side of the house. It's a feasible project, mind you, but about double what I could afford. I feel bad that I wasted his time. These units are a lot more expensive than I thought.
Much to his own demise, he gave me a bunch of advice about how to do it myself, to the point that I'm confident that I can do the job myself.

I feel really bad that I wasted his time. I offered him cash for his time but he wouldn't even take that.

These guys were friendly, honest and hard working (the owner himself was the technician on my service call) - plus they came in at about half the price of some of the bigger, more heavily advertised companies around Sacramento. They did what they were called out to do, and even went a little above and beyond. They were a little late getting here, but they called and explained the situation so I wasn't left hanging and they were also done faster than I thought they would be so it really didn't matter in the end. Afterward, I was given a full walk-through of the repairs and shown the bad part so I know what was done. Bottom line, their work was top notch and done for the quoted price.

If you want to job done right the first time then do not go anywhere but bronco plumbing heating and air. They save me from another company. Phil, Ryan, lance, Jesse are all awesome, honest and decent people. Use bronco. You will not regret it.

We called Bronco for help and they were here the very next day. Phil was fantastic! Kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. He stayed until the job was done right! Should I need HVAC help again, I am definitely calling Bronco. Now I can say I know a good HVAC guy!

Today, Bronco completed work on my older HVAC that was inconsistently blowing air (off/on) by replacing a circuit board and rewiring some circuits. I found the technician to be highly competent, a good communicator, and on time. The price for the circuit board and labor seemed very fair. No deposit or initial labor cost was incurred until the part was installed and the work was completed on the second visit. The old circuit board was provided after the job and it clearly had heat/electrical damage, probably caused by the wiring. Heat and Cool are working now, but the verdict is still out on whether the re-wiring of the AC component will work out until the weather turns warmer. I'll post an update at that time, but if the AC works as expected over the summer, Bronco will have saved me some serious $$$.

This guy JUST finished fixing my AC (in about 15 min)

Mr. Bronco just came to my house on a Sunday to fix my broken AC. He was very fast, very honest and exceptionally reasonable (not even counting that he came on a Sunday). This is my new heating and AC maintenance/repair guy!

And he didn't try to upsell me even once! I feel like on a 90 degree day I would have bought anything he said to get my AC back running... especially after a day of hell (106*) yesterday.

here is what happened

I called our regular company yesterday morning when it went out (the outside part of the AC wasn't clicking on and off.. it was just staying off), they set up an appointment for Wednesday, after dealing with the heat yesterday (106*) with my 1 year old.. I just started calling 24 AC companies.. I called about 4, this guy was the first guy to get back to me. He said he had one in front of me and then he would be out to check it out. Meanwhile i googled how to fix your ac... and every time it got to 'if their is something wrong with the condenser outside you will need to replace the unit!!!!!"... At this point i was ready and willing. Then Mr. Bronco (i don't even know if that is his name - he gave me two cards and i still lost them... ah life with a 1 yo) came and said oh it is probably the compressor(i think that is what he called it, lets be serious i was just happy he wasn't telling me i had to replace the whole thing) ..... he showed me everything that was wrong with it and then replaced it for a MUCH lower cost than I was expecting.

I wish i could give him 10 stars.. i now have ac and my baby is sleeping :)... oh and today is my birthday so it is even better :)

We had 2 other techs come out to try and figure out why our AC was not working efficiently. One recommended on the age of our unit to replace it . Bronco heating and air came out and diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly . I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a tech who will explain whats going on and be upfront and honest with you .

Phil is a professional who performs high quality work. He values honesty and integrity. I have been a customer for over 10 years and he recently replaced my aging HVAC system. Phil and his crew were efficient and respectful of my home. He is also extremely competitively priced.

Earlier this year, Phil installed our HVAC at our company's building and it's been incredible. He and his employees had the unit up incredibly fast, and it kept us cool throughout the entire summer. Phil comes in at least once a month to make sure that the unit is working as it should, and he's been incredibly generous with his time and knowledge to help us prepare for the intense temperature drops/raises we experience throughout the year. Definitely the best, would recommend him for plumbing too!!

When our HVAC gave out, the folks at Bronco were able to come out in the same day to see what might be the problem. After offering options for repair or replacement, we opted for replacement--with some anxiety about what the potential cost might be. That said, within one week we had a new energy efficient Heat Pump HVAC installed at a cost that was lower than expected. While we're grateful to have heat in our home again, we're even more thankful for the human touch and clear communication we got from Bronco. I give them my highest recommendation!
