I contacted Timco for a bid on a new construction residential project back in May of 2018. Tommie visited me at my lot to discuss the project and said that he was interested. I said that I would be sending out for bids in October of 2018 and asked if he would like to bid. He said he would.

In October, 2018 I sent an email to Mercedes Raistrick, Timco's Chief estimator asking if they were still interested in the project. She said to give Tommie a call. I called Tommie and he remembered who I was and said he was still interested. I sent the bid documents to them on or about October 18, 2018 and asked if they had everything they needed. Three weeks later I still had not received confirmation that they received the documents or that they had everything that they needed so I sent another email. I did not receive a response. I know contractors are busy so I was not trying to be pushy. I waited another two weeks and then I called. First I spoke with Mercedes and if she had gotten my emails. She said she had. I asked why she hadn't responded and she said, "I started to but I guess I forgot. She transferred me to Tommie who said he had the bid documents and that they had done all of the work on their end they were just waiting for subcontractors. I asked why Mercedes had not responded to a single email and he said he was not sure and that was unusual. He said the bid would be complete by December 6, 2018.

December 6, came and went with out a bid so I called and spoke to someone who had said he was taking over Mercedes job of estimating and that he would have something together for me by the 19th or 20th. Nothing came on the 20th so I called him again. He told me to call back in an hour. I did that. When he answered he began asking me some rudimentary questions about my project. It was clear that he had used the hour in between phone calls to read my bid documents for the first time. He said that they hadn't made any progress on the bid but were still interested. I asked when it could be done by and he said the end of January. I said that I needed it sooner than that so he said January 4th.

Today I called to check on the status of the bid and was informed by Mercedes that they were not interested in the project. She said they had decided at a recent meeting that they could not compete against residential real estate bids and that they were primarily commercial I asked her why she did not call or email me to let me know. She was quiet and I said, "well that's a heckuva a way to run a business." She wished me a happy holidays and hung up.

The excuse that they are a commercial real estate contractor is thin. They have known that this was a residential project for over six months and have continually expressed interest. I think it more likely they decided that they did not want to deal with someone who expected deadlines to be kept and emails to be responded to. I guess in the end that I am glad I found this out about them now rather than halfway through building a house. Nevertheless I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. This is a big project for us, something we have saved for years and to have it treated in such a matter is extremely frustrating and disheartening. I hope their other potential clients are dealt with better.

We are getting a commercial tenant improvement to open a new restaurant in Elk Grove. We scheduled a time to see him and he was extremely professional and told me when the deadline was going to be. Told me he was going to breakdown all the cost, unlike other contractors. I emailed him and he called me right back. Communication to me is very important because of the deadlines, and Timco is great! Highly recommend!!

A storm had dropped a tree on my roof, and worsened damage done to the stucco on my garage wall. The crew from Timco did a phenomenal job on both. So good, you'd think the house had been built yesterday. They were on time, every time, efficient and professional (but so easy to work with). I can't recommend them enough.

My house required extensive work to repair dry rot, paint and rebuild a patio cover. A little over two years ago I hired a crew to do the work. Unfortunately, work was never completed, my time was wasted and back yard was left a mess. Parts of the job that were partially completed, were inadequate to say the least and needed to be re-done. After letting previous crew go, I began my search for a contractor who can get the job done. I’ve interviewed and evaluated 6 construction companies and their proposed bids. After thorough evaluation and consideration, DL Design Construction has been selected.

DL Design Construction Inc. is owned by Dmitriy Chernenko (CEO) who also happens to be a consultant as well. When I first met Dmitriy, he was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the subject matter at hand. This was also noticeable with the rest of his staff, starting from the receptionist who answers the phone at the office to his team that performs an actual work onsite. While working with Dmitriy, he was very clear in elaborating and outlining the work to be performed and costs associated with it. Everything was discussed and agreed upon prior to beginning of the work and no deviation has been observed from the time contract was signed to the end of the job.

DL Design Construction team that performed an actual work on the house were also very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They consulted and made suggestions during the project to achieve best possible results. Their expertise and attention to detail were exceptional. It was an absolute pleasure to work with DL Design Construction team, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for honest and reputable group of professionals to work on their house. I sincerely appreciate the work they did and looking forward working with them on my future projects as well.

DL Design Construction is amazing! We recently had Dmitriy and his crew out for a project on our house. They removed all stucco and windows on the front of our house and made our house look amazing! We added James Hardie siding and Anlin windows to the front of our house and I can honestly say they were the best! Money well spent. Dmitriy, Andre and Andre were just a couple of the crew members out on the job. They were knowledgeable, professional and over all, great guys. They arrived on the job, on time and cleaned up every day. Our project turned out just the way we wanted and they were great to work with. I highly recommend Dmitriy and his crew!

DL Design did a great with the siding on our barn and shed. They removed all old siding and backing to look for a rot and damage. They corrected all the issues and provided a phenomenal end result with a farm-style look.

Dmitriy and his crew did a great job replacing my old, rotten wood siding with James Hardy fiber cement siding. They cleaned up at the end of each day, which I really appreciated. They stayed on schedule. And, they even took care of a couple of add-on projects at very reasonable rates. We are very happy with out choice in contractor and materials.

I've worked with a lot of contractors over the years as a homeowner and landlord. We decided to go with DL Design Construction on a major renovation project after interviewing several companies. From Day1, Dmitriy himself spent time to discuss every fine detail with us, complete with a walk-through, product samples, and catalogues. When work began, the crew was skilled, professional, and timely. Every single surprise that arose was discussed in thorough detail. They accommodated late requests like adding light fixtures, repairing old studs, adding new insulation and sheathing. Although I visited the jobsite regularly, I still received regular text messages they provided daily project progress photos! The end result is an absolutely beautiful exterior makeover; the house went from worst to first in our neighborhood! All of this came at an excellent price – I don’t know what else a homeowner could ask for in a contractor.

DL Design did a great job of removing our old siding and replacing with James Hardie siding, and installing windows. Dmitriy was excellent to work with and answered all of our questions when setting up the project. Vlad was equally responsive and professional when doing the installation. The wet winter of 2022-2023 accelerated rot in our 45 year old wood sided home. The entire exterior needed to be redone including some new studs. We decided on James Hardie fiber cement siding, received quotes from 3 Hardie approved contractors, deciding on DL Design and Construction. We are very glad we chose them. Their crew is knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their work is meticulous. They clean up each day. We appreciate the unexpected things we wouldn’t have thought of or didn’t know about such as: asking us if we wanted to replace the lights (we hadn’t noticed how bad they looked), asking if we want to add outside electrical outlets or lighting (yes! Including motion lights), improved exhaust vents for dryer and bathroom, suggesting “coiling” for wood fascia, and more. We could not be more pleased with this project: from the initial quote to final work. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would.

Excellent quality, service, and workmanship! Outstanding professionals who do high quality work! Our 30 year old home looks brand new, and feels brand new with the new insulation and siding. The work crew are extremely professional, work all day, and clean up each afternoon before leaving. I highly recommend DL Design and will hire them for any other work we may want done.

I highly recommend DL Design. Dmitriy came to our house to give us a quote, he was very knowledgeable about all the siding products and helped us pick the right siding for our situation. We had previous problems with water leaks. His crew showed up on time and I must say some of the hardest workers I have seen, they did a very good job communicating with my husband and myself every step of the way. They used the best products out there and cut no corners even down to top notch caulking. When the job was completed they did an excellent job cleaning up. I will definitely recommend them to all my clients and will be using them on future projects.

The exterior of our home needed everything replaced -- roof, gutters, siding and windows -- so we know it was a project that would need a contractor who understood the necessity of completing the entire job in stages and in a professional way. DL Design Construction, with the advice and guidance of the owner Dmitriy and also his crew, were very helpful and also just did a superb job of turning our older home into a home that we are now very proud of and it looks like a new home instead. Their estimate was right on to what it ended up and although we had to have extras once the walls were uncovered, which we expected, it was still well worth what it cost.They were very courteous and professional at all times.
