intially called Cruz construction to get an estimate for replacing my floors and updating my shower. I received a call back within in a few hours and Sabas made an appointment with me at my convenience. Sabas was on time, curtious, and really listened to what I wanted. I had been wanting to add on to my bedroom and had met with other contractors but the quotes I recevied were way out of my budget. I mentioned to Sabas I wanted to add on to my bedroom and asked him what he thought it would cost. He gave me a verbal estimate and it was so reasonable so I asked him to give me a written estimate for the shower, floors, and the addition. When I received the written estimate it was very detailed of what was included and in the same price range he verbally provided. I made the decision to move forward and he connected me with a archetect/designer to draw my plans for the addition. The process with both the designer and Cruz Construction was seamless and communication was so easy. As I worked with Sabas and his company over time I added the painting of my cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom, replacing the hardware on the cabinets, replacing a window, and re roofing my home. His employees were kind, hardworking, and reliable. They cleaned up after themselves, were quiet, and did superior work.

I have worked with many contractors throughout the years. I have build 2 homes and completely remodeled another. This contractor was far by the best! Due to the amount of work I had done this company worked in my house on and off for almost a year. Sabas was always took my calls and responded to any texts or emails the sameday. He was helpful in picking colors and brought samples to me. Any issues that came up he handled immediately. He has a very calm demeaner, is very patient, and really listens. He has direct employees to do all the work and does not use sub contractors which made the projects go so much smoother and timely. Several of his employees are relatives which was nice as they too were kind, patient, and hardworking. The pride all his employees take in their work really showed. I never worried about leaving my home and them being in it without me present. They were trustworthy, clean, and respectful of my property.

I am so happy with the work that was done and how my projects turned out! If you are even thinking of needing a contractor don't hesitate to call Cruz Construction you will not be disappointmented. His prices might be a little higher then some but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for."

Sabas and his crew were excellent! They remodeled my 1950s kitchen and laundry room and also constructed a new bedroom suite addition. The quality and knowledge of this company is top-notch. They have an eye for details an offer suggestions that really makes sense. Competent, capable,and timely. I would wholeheartedly recommend using Sabas for any sized project.

We had a plumbing issue that was in the driveway. Maka came right away and within a week had everything, including plumbing, make to normal. They are friendly, hard working and they did the job right!

I recently moved into my newly built house with an unfinished backyard. MAKA Concrete came out, we walked the site and they helped me with ideas for my space. I decided on a concrete walkway from the front yard to the back of the house and large back patio. I asked about landscaping and MAKA Concepts installed two large grass lawns, at the back and on one side of the house. I asked them to install a full sprinkler system for both lawns and add bark all around the sections that did not have grass or concrete. They did a fantastic job; I would hire them again without hesitation. My backyard went from dirt to a great living space with the help of MAKA Concrete's hard work.

UPDATE:
I asked them to come back out and make a slab for a shed. Perfect dimensions and level. I recommend MAKA Concepts to everyone.

This guy has a horrible attitude. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone based solely on his attitude to the public while being a "business owner". Embarrassing. You never know who could use your business, but then again this guy has zero social awareness.
If he does his jobs like he carries himself, I highly do not recommend him.

We purchased the original home with the intent of a tear down & rebuild. Bill worked with us to design and build a turnkey home. Services included demolition, general construction all exterior finishes including concrete, landscape and masonry. We are extremely happy with the workmanship and care given to the project and would recommend his services.

Under Construction has been my go to home improvement contractor for approximately 30 years. The work done by the company has included installing a retaining wall, replacing kitchen and bathroom tile and plumbing, replacing siding and building a ramp and replacing wooden decks with Trex materials and installing steps on my property which is situated on a challenging slope. The proprietor, Bill Westphal, is experienced, easy to work with, offers helpful suggestions, provides written estimates, is prompt and responsive, advises when changes to schedules are needed and is flexible with the homeowner in that regard as well. His employees are always polite, respectful and skilled.

We met with Bill from Under Construction and were pleased that he listened intently and provided a set of blueprints that helped speed up the building process. They built an additional room to our existing home, turned a shed into a beautiful new cottage with bathroom , built a nice new deck, upgraded 2 bathrooms, installed a complete drainage system, installed a new roof and installed new electrical boxes and wiring. They found issues with our older home that required attention and repaired them quickly. We are very happy with the exceptional work and attention to detail from Under Construction and would not hesitate to call them for additional work in the future

Bill and his team at Under Construction Co. did an excellent job on our kitchen and bathroom remodel. Bill is a creative thinker who knows how to right-size effort, communicate clearly, and stay transparent throughout the process. Job walks were genuinely enjoyable and informative, with thoughtful options and tradeoffs clearly explained. He also has a strong eye for aesthetics and design. Overall, incredibly easy to work with and a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t be happier with the whole-house remodel Bill and team completed on our Pacific Grove home. So much so that we are doing a second project with him. This was a major project—we went down to the studs—and Bill handled every aspect with incredible professionalism.
