I needed to have an EV charger installed that had a requirements of 70 Amp breakers and 4 gauge wiring. This was to be hardwired to a Chargepoint WallCharger. I spoke to multiple basenesses/people claiming to have done EV installation before settling with Steve. My main panel already "looked" fully populated with breakers, so I got a quote for up to a $5000 panel upgrade to a low of $425 quick install claim. I will not name manes here but I was a but surprised to see all of these contractors that I picked from Google reviews were 4.3+ start ratings for them. However, starting from the guy who never came by to see my location but was quick to provide a $5000 quote to the one who came by to provide a $425 quote but bowed away when I asked to have him pull a permit. I could not get the lowest quoting guy even on the phone after I tried to call him; his office secretary was telling me they cannot do a 70 AMP breaker install with 4 gauge wiring. The problem was, he did tell me he would but not in writing!
Anyway, I called out Steve to come look at the panel and he knew that some of the GE switches could be reconfigured to free up enough space for the new breakers. Steve is a busy man and he quoted me more than the lowest one, but he was very calm and seemed very knowledgeable. When he came out to do the installation, however, he found that the solar installation guys cut-off some of the legs in one of the phases that they installed their breakers. Steve stopped and knew that was a problem but thought for a little bit to locate some if the smaller fuses that did not require 240V lines so the slots with the cut-off power phase leg could be put there. He then installed the 70 AMP fuse with the 4 gauge wiring going to the wall charger. I am certain the other installers would have just balked and wouldn't know what to do in this case.

I am now able to use 240 volts at 50 AMP's to change by car at 11KW! I would call Steve again in a whim to work on my electrical panel and I found him knowledgeable, honest and well experienced. Thanks Steve!

The Scheduling of the Quiet Cool venting system through Carter Electric was ordered, installed and performed very timely and conveniently for the upcoming summer months. Install was about an hour. It's quiet, it looks very nice in my upstairs hallway including the on/off switch. I'm very satisfied.

Had a light fixture and a switch installed. It was in a very difficult location but the installer worked on it all day and made sure it was installed correctly and it turned out great even making my wife happy!!!! I will always use Steve Carter Electric for all my electricity needs in the future!!!

Absolutely great job installing a Quiet Cool system in our attic. During the heat we had our AC at 79 and, when it was cooler outside, we opened up all the windows, but it took way to long to cool down the house before bedtime. NOW we can cool down our house within minutes. WOW so… cool and saving money too.

I had my electric panel replaced and and a GFI outlet replaced. They took care of all the permitting and gave may a timeframe that was spot on. Steve was very professional and the technicians did quality work. I will definitely be using them for all of my electrical needs going forward.

They showed up when they said they would, fixed my problem fast, reasonably priced and more importantly I have someone I can confidently call in the future for the major work that needs to get done here.

I called in a panic on a Friday late afternoon, there was a burning smell coming out of the electrical outlet of my mothers older home. Barbara immediately contacted Steve, let us know what to do until Steve could get here. Within a couple hours Steve got here to replace outlets/wires gave us advice/recommendations moving forward; he kept our home from what could have been a nightmare!
