Terrible, caution do not work with this company. They are very bad at communication, not organized, very unprofessional, etc. To top it off they required a credit card upfront, then overcharged it for more than the agreed on amount and won't issue any credit or refund.

No one showed up. No one cancelled with HOA or with homeowner. Richard Viets - no apology or explanation. [HOA contracted with ProTec to install new front door. On Wednesday of this week, Richard Viets "Construction Supervisor" emailed that he could install the door on Friday. I got time off work approved, and confirmed the appointment. Then, he didn't show up Friday morning. He did not call Homeowner. He did not call HOA. I called ProTec office and receptionist said the job was cancelled. HOA management is still trying to find out what happened.

Very unprofessional! They turned off the water from our building in Bernardo Vista Del Lago to do repairs and did not notify neighbors. When a neighbor let them know that she was half way through her shower, the guy unapologetically told the person that he did not care because neighbors would complain regardless and would continue to do work on the area without notifying owners. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and would NOT RECOMMEND!

I have contracted with Pro Tec for about 10 years at multiple HOA Communities. I am very impressed that the can do / customer service attitude of their leadership and managers carries down to each service tech they have. They have been resilient and accommodated my needs quickly. It is great to have them at my communities; in the odd chance that I needed emergency action, they were super quick to respond with qualified people to solve the problem. Many kudos to Andy, Cesar, Ty, Mirzet and Paul!

Background: Our condo HOA is using ProTec for repairs. I get the invoices and review them. They routinely charge for basic tools such as a hammer, nail puller, caulk gun, bucket, bottled water for the workers etc. etc. They keep the tools! They add a 30% handling fee to invoices from Home Depot, Dixieline etc. unless we give them an HOA credit card which we won't do. Work example: They used regular nails on a dry rotted exterior deck handrail and trim repair. Best practice is to use galvanized fasteners that don't rust through the paint. Very poor value for what amounts to handyman level work.

Show up late put in half work days prolong projects for days even weeks. Zero cleanup take up trash space. Wish it was possible to give zero reviews. They should be heavily fined for all the trash and garbage they leave everywhere

They were recommended by our HOA. They did the job and left a mess everywhere. They were supposed to bill out our HOA and ended up billing us out 2 months later. I was told they only needed our card to hold the appointment and would bill out the HOA. I would not recommend! Do you research before hiring this company!

Protect Building services did a fantastic job with experienced plumber Frank. He is lead plumber, fixed our HOA main water line underground with excellence, and replaced multiple faucets and water line valves with ease at other times Thank you ALL, even scheduling for your efficiency and expertise.

Known to take advantage of HOA’s and perform the minimum required work with poor quality to match, but charge the highest contractor fees that I’ve seen. I’ve heard the reason they work with HOA’s is to charge subscription contract fees with defined hours that they ALWAYS go over and charge overtime. Our board is taking action to remove this disgusting company from our property.

Elena Egos hires you through Prescott.

I had a leak in my home the first week in October, 2024. I gave this company a call based on reviews and the awesome rating of 4.9 stars. The lady that I spoke with sold Me on this company. She mentioned how they would fight to get the most recovery And replacement value for the damage to my home. The destruction / Removal crew Came pretty fast. Why I gave 3 Stars… The communication isn’t the best. you would start with a certain person who was in charge of your job and they wouldn’t tell you when their part was done and now you need to communicate with the other person. On a couple of occasions, I was made to feel like I was bothering that person when I would text them. They would respond but make you feel like you were bothering them because they’re part of the job is now done and now you need to go through this person. Could they have told me that when their part of the job was done? The project manager Lauren was really hard to get a hold of it times. Either she was out of town doing some sort of training gig or she was using somebody else’s computer because hers was down and it made it hard for her to retrieve her email for some reason. Once the job was complete, she did the same thing to me. I sent her an email regarding the balance response was to please forward any future communications to the office manager Kaylena Because we’re part of the job was done. Again, could she have let me know this from the job was completed?
The biggest issue I had was that I was initially told that they were three weeks out to start work. Three weeks turned into three months and work on my home did not start until January. Then I also got delayed by a day because the job they were working on took an extra day. They finished the work at my place in a timely manner and everything looks great but I couldn’t give them an outstanding review.
