I hired Shurgarman to install a new shower in my bathroom. I had problems with my floor, plumbing, electrical, etc so I had to first get these things fixed before they could proceed putting in the shower. Once it was ready, Toby and Bryan stayed late to complete the job and did exceptional work. I am so pleased with the final product. Highly recommend this company

We had received 5 proposals to replace our master bath shower and replace our guest tub/shower with a larger soaking tub. While Shugarmans was not the lowest price, I am 100% certain we made the right decision by choosing Shugarmans. From our initial meeting with Adam to our 4th meeting at their showroom, Adam was extremely patient and professional. He thoroughly answered our questions and presented us with several options. Once we decided on what we would like and signed the contract it was only a few short weeks before installation began. Brandon C was our main installer, he was extremely professional and courteous. He encountered several obstacles that were uncovered once our items were demoed; from water damage, dry rotted studs, damaged subfloor and even some black mold. Brandon was able to take care of all of these issues for us and even rented a dehumidifier from Home Depot to get rid of the moisture in the walls. All of this was performed at no additional cost to us and was done expediantly. Shugarmans stand behind their no additional charges policy!! I would hate to think the cost associated with what they did for us and the delays that would have been encountered had we gone with another company. They were very efficient on notifying us on the status of our project. I will refer anyone I speak with to choose Shugarmans for any of their tub and shower make overs. Excellent job!! We recently used Shugarman's Bath for a shower remodel and had an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The project kicked off with Nico, who handled the demolition. He was punctual, professional, and incredibly helpful. He actually took the time to explain his process as he worked, which was both educational and gave us peace of mind that the job was being done right.

The installation was completed by Fabian V. and Missael D.. They were great communicators who remained professional and courteous throughout the install. We especially appreciated that they didn't just rush through the job; they offered expert suggestions and walked us through a few key decisions to ensure we were happy with the final layout.

The entire project was completed on time and the craftsmanship is top-notch. If you’re looking for a team that is professional, respectful of your home, and highly skilled, I can't recommend Nico, Fabian, and Missael enough!

I was so happy with the shower and tub replacements done by Shugarman's Bath. Our installers Chreen G and Steven were an awesome team. The work was so professional and might I say perfect. They kept our home clean throughout the process, consulted us on placement of shelves, bench, shower head etc.
They were never offended when we wanted to check the progress of the work. Everything looks beautiful on the outside, but what gives me peace of mind is knowing the quality of work inside the walls and in the drains.
The lifetime warranty also gives me peace of mind.
Kudos to the salesman Sean who was especially patient and able to answer ALL our questions. The work was completed exactly how it was promised.

Choosing Shugarman's Bath to replace our thirty year old tub and shower combination was easy. The biggest selling point to us was that when they deconstruct and remove the old fixture, no matter what they find behind it (leaks, mold, worn out piping, damaged support beams), repairing it is included. Their installation team will do it then and there as part of the new install: There's no outsourcing of any problem to a third party. There's no stopping work and telling us to "go find a plumber before they can continue" or anything of that sort.

It took about two and a half months for all the parts we ordered to come in. (That was fine by us.) They scheduled a mutually convenient start date for us and their team. Deconstruction was done one day by Adrian and a helper. Installation took two days by Adrian working solo.

There were three surprises found once deconstruction was completed:

1. Previous replacement piping had to be rerouted. (Adrian explained and showed us a better route. We agreed and he proceeded.)
2. The location of the inset shelf couldn't be put on the back wall because of the depth of the stucco on the backside of the framing. (Adrian saw the potential problem and offered us a different location - the shower's back wall - which was fine by us.)
3. The grab bar entering the shower didn't have the wood beam support to be mounted. (Adrian added the support beams to provide a firm mount for the grab bar.)

A big big shoutout to Adrian. Not only did he show great ingenuity and craftmanship - he was very informative and friendly. We highly recommend and thank him.

What an amazing transition! It's been about three weeks now and there are no problems and it's been so uplifting to have such a fine shower space in our master bathroom. Thanks again, Shugarman's Bath. Five stars rating!

When we bought the house we had slated to have the master bathtub removed and the shower enlarged. For the past 7 years the only thing the tub was used for was to give water to the cat. We met Shugarmans at a Home and Garden show in Del Mar, and liked that the could do custom showers not just a one size fits all shower. After a few months we decided it was time.

Working with Susan during the sales process was amazing we worked on many configurations so that we could maximize the space based on the largest drain pan we could go with. Even after a few days we weren't sure that it was going to be correct and called her to resize a few things, she was always a pleasure to work with.

The wait was the probably the worse part as it took about 3 months from Sales to Install. Mainly waiting to have the drain pan created - this was probably due to the type we choose. But Adria was always checking in to give me updates.

On installation start to finish, we couldn't be happier. Nicho was efficient and worked hard to get the old shower and tub removed. He was very thorough in preventing as much dust as he could from getting to other areas of the house and his clean up afterwards was immaculate.

The next day Jorge and Michael came to start the installation. Jorge checked in quite often to make sure that the install was going as planned and noted that there might be issue with the way the pny wall was configured and he easily pivoted when I made a suggestion to add the back higher wall. Even though it required a few more calculations he was positive and figured it out and it turned out great.

Jorge spent about 3 days to complete the install with some help form Brian on the last day. He was awesome to work with and very professional. All and all the install went very smoothly, and we are very happy with how things turned out.

I had a shower/tub replaced by Shugarmans and couldn’t be happier with the experience. My salesman Adam was friendly and made sure that my wife and I got exactly the shower design we were looking for. I wanted a stress free install that was done right and that’s what I got. Fabian and his install team are very professional, friendly and efficient. Every little detail was taken with quality care from start to finish. I ended up with a beautiful walk in shower with a high end luxury feel. I’m glad I went with Shugarmans out of all the many bathroom renovation company options.

Is it expensive to install a new shower? Frankly, "expensive" is relative. In this case, I got what we paid for, and it's well worth it. Here is what we got: two-day demo plus complete installation, communication every step of the way (texts when the team was en route for consultation, installation, etc), a team - led by the professional and personable FABIAN :). The installation was exactly what we ordered - no additions, no deletions, no last-minute changes. My camera is terrible, so the end result in the "after" picture does not reflect the luxurious, clean, solid shower that we now enjoy. On a social note, it was impressive to see and interact with employees who seemed genuinely invested in the family concept at Shugarman's. It's nice to know we're supporting a company that places great value on their highly-trained employees. Every detail was paid attention to...from carefully protecting our hardwood floors in the house to returning to fix (free of charge) a piece of drywall that was inadvertently knocked through during the demo. No loose ends. No extra charges. And it's a lifetime guarantee. Try finding a nicer group of people who will stand behind their name and workmanship. Thank you, Shugarman's!

From the lnquiry to the follow up I was treated with respect and understanding of my needs. This wasn’t a “hard sell”. They weren’t the least expensive but I chose them for what was included…if any issues like mold etc found when removing original shower my quoted cost remained the same. My installation went smoothly and my installer Dillan was the best. I would highly recommend.

Shugarmans Bath Team [ Chreen & Steven ] were fantastic! Professional, courteous and great listeners, besides their quality of work. We are so very happy with the results of our shower/tub refresh and it took only 2 days. And that's even with them finding a leaky valve in the shared plumbing wall from a project 2 months prior [from another company]! We are grateful for the discovery and the rapid turnaround that has made this bathroom beautiful and the security of knowing it's done right.

We had our old, original 1970’s bathtub/shower replaced by Shugarman’s bath in September.
We did have a competing bid, but chose Shugarman’s, mainly because of the excellent reviews and lack of hard sell tactics.
Ruben was the excellent tech that completed the demo and new install in 3 days. I was impressed with the quality of work (replacement of the shower drain piping, grab handle reinforcements, copper piping, plus more) and I don’t think I’ve ever seen better caulking applications !
We did have a few minor issues, but they were far overshadowed by the positive results. There is not many times that I have had good things to say about contractors, but Shugarman’s is the exception.

We had our old fiberglass shower replaced by Shugarman’s Bath, and we’re very happy with the result … a sparkling new shower with a fantastic dual shower head. From the first meeting with Adam, our salesman, to the final clean up, we had a good experience. We chose Shugarman’s for their guarantee of a fixed price regardless of what the condition of the walls were once they started the demo. We had to wait a couple of months for the shower floor, but we didn’t mind. We were kept informed on the progress of that, and once it was in, the scheduling began. The whole installation took just one day! The attention to detail was excellent. When we had to make adjustments to our grab bar location, and we did that cooperatively with the installer, Bryan. We also had to switch from a niche to shelves due to the placement of pipes between the wall joists. We made that decision together and only had to wait about 3-4 days for the new shelves. Dante installed those and tightened the door handle to complete the work. There was some debris left from the install in the bathroom and our garage. I made Shugarman’s aware of it, and Karina, their Customer Care Coordinator, offered to have our whole garage cleaned. That was completed quickly and expertly at no cost to us. That’s great customer service! I highly recommend Shugarman’s for your bathroom remodeling needs. Expect to pay a little more, but the investment is worth it.

We recently had our 1975 fiberglass shower replaced by Shugarman’s Bath, and the experience was excellent. Having remodeled a bathroom years ago before modern polymer materials were common, we were impressed by the high-quality options available now—specifically the Onyx solid surface base, which is top-tier.

The Process: Material selection was straightforward, and visiting the showroom helped us visualize the final result. Since we weren't under a strict timeline, scheduling was easy once the materials arrived.

Installation Day: Our installers, Chuy and Jay, were fantastic. They arrived prepared and handled the demolition cleanly. When they discovered a section of the wall had never been insulated during the original 1975 construction, Chuy was happy to install some fiberglass batting I had on hand. They checked in with us on the exact placement of the valve, head, and shelves to ensure everything was perfect. Despite it being a long day, they stayed until early evening to finish the job in one session as promised.

Finishing Touches: After letting the adhesives cure for a day, they came by to measure and install the custom shower doors about a week later. Grant did a great job fitting the doors and including all the extras we requested.

Final Thoughts: While this type of replacement is a significant investment, the quality and peace of mind were worth the price point for us. Out of all the home projects we’ve done, this was by far the most efficient and organized. Highly recommend. Our kids are growing up and we decided to convert our master bath/shower separate into a lux shower and sauna. Sugarmans took care of the shower conversion with turnkey expertise. Custom made materials were ready on time and arrived as advertised. Special appreciation to our installer, Jose Jimenez, who provided expert installation advice throughout the process. Would definitely return.

I stumbled upon Shugarman’s Bath after doing a lot of research on shower remodels in San Diego. After speaking with them, and with several other contractors, I ultimately decided to move forward with Shugarman’s.
I really value not feeling rushed or pressured, and Greg picked up on that right away. We met twice before I committed to the project, and as someone who pays close attention to details, I truly appreciated his patience as I walked through all of my options and took time to weigh them. I also respected that he never spoke negatively about other companies. Instead, he focused on what Shugarman’s could offer and whether it was the right fit for my needs.

Once I decided to move forward, the team acted quickly to order materials and provided multiple installation date options to accommodate my busy schedule. The entire installation took two full days, which felt impressively fast given the amount of work and the high quality of the finished result.
