I have not yet selected an installer for my whole house fan (still doing my homework, gathering quotes, etc.), but have spoken and emailed with Spencer, who has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and conscientious.

He gave me a thorough consultation on what my home's issues are, how we can fix them, with various options and detailed explanation of the pros and cons of each option. I'm really happy that I was refereed to him.

Seeking to make my home in North Park more energy efficient, I learned of Energy Integrity from my green realtor. I got an energy audit to see where I could improve the comfort of my home. I learned of thousands of dollars available in rebates through the Energy Upgrade California program and I upgraded my water heater, got all new LED lighting, installed this amazing Energy Recovery Ventilation device that keeps my home healthy, increased the amount of insulation and even transformed my roof into a cool roof and added a solar attic fan. The team were great to work with and followed through on every detail. I am very happy with my home improvements!

I first learned of Energy Integrity when I was looking for a certified whole house fan installer. Spencer and his team installed the WHF and I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail during the installation. They took the extra time to explain what each part of the project involved as the project went forward. I was extremely impressed when they thought of the aesthetic look of the unit and felt like they treated the install as if they were installing the product in their own homes. After the installation of the WHF, I have had Energy Integrity compete a home energy assessment. Spencer originally provided a price for this service and also emailed me a second special lower through SDG&E. His integrity was greatly appreciated and the company name hits the nail on the head. I look forward to working with Spencer and his team to further improve my residence.

I live in Golden Hill and hired Energy Integrity to install insulation in my attic, walls and crawlspace. I became aware of energy audits and upgrades through a home tour that they provided in South Park. My home was built in 1932 and had no insulation whatsoever. The comfort level has increased substantially as result of Energy Integrity’s work. They provided excellent customer service and completed the upgrades in a timely manner. Special thanks to Spencer, Cliff, Ryan, Dan and Brendon for their hard work and attention.

Ever since moving to San Diego, our house has been stuffy and unevenly heated/cooled. I researched and vetted several HVAC contractors, most of whom suggested a bigger furnace and air conditioning condenser ($$$). I came across Energy Integrity while researching Energy Upgrade California and the PACE program. Spencer came to the house and spent a generous amount of time asking questions and physically walking through every room. I particularly appreciated his “nerdiness” (his word!) and passion, explaining how a house is a group of systems that work together.

Working within my budget, Spencer laid out a plan: improve/add to our ducting, increase the attic insulation, add more attic ventilation, and install a whole house fan. Spencer and his team were a pleasure to work with: they were extremely attentive to detail, they arrived when he said they would, and he kept me “in the loop” during the whole process.

It’s been three months, now, and I can’t believe the difference in the house. Even during the extreme heat waves we had this past summer, the house stayed cooler - and the AC didn’t run as often. The improved comfort, alone, was well worth the cost; the energy savings are icing on the cake.

In my opinion, homes in San Diego generally weren't built with efficiency in mind. Energy Integrity was able to "retrofit" energy efficiency into my home. They were professional, clean and courteous. We were presented with insulation, HVAC, solar, lighting and appliance upgrade options. Energy Integrity completed the project on time and within budget. We even received an out-briefing at the project conclusion complete with a comprehensive written report. Our upgrade cut our utility bill in half and our home is much warmer.

We had Energy Integrity make the following improvements to our house in eastern San Diego county:
1. Replace all the insulation in our attic
2. Replace the HVAC ducting in the attic
3. Install a whole house attic fan
4. Replace all the windows in the house for improved insulation
The results have been fantastic! Thanks to these improvements, our house is much more energy efficient. And we were able to get the state energy rebates that were key to the program.

I have nothing but great things to say about the people at Energy Integrity. In particular:
1. The quality of their work was great. We have seen a significant reduction in our energy bill and a greatly reduced dependence on our AC since the changes
2. The team was thorough and detailed. They found real problems in our attic and were able to fix them.
3. The team was very flexible working around our schedule and needs during the upgrade.
4. They were VERY easy to work with and a joy to have around the house
5. They showed real perseverance getting the job done and then enabling the state rebates

I would highly recommend Energy Integrity. Spencer is very knowledgable on energy performance and gave me some great advice on how to get the most out of my upgrades. Before going through the process of installing insulation throughout my entire attic, he pointed out some simple and inexpensive things regarding air and duct sealing that needed to be done first. This ended up having a huge impact that made the insulation much more effective. I'd definitely suggest you give Spencer a call at the very beginning of your project to have a better understanding of your whole home and where your money and efforts can be wisely spent to get the most bang for your buck.

I have not yet had the opportunity to hire Spencer and his team at Energy Integrity, but I do want to write a review about the knowledge and quality of service this company brings. Spencer offered to evaluate my home for improvements as I am a new owner and will likely be completing projects over the next few years. Spencer is very knowledgeable about all aspects of energy improvement, and offered a very pragmatic view on the ways to improve my heating, cooling and insulating features of my house. As I continue to prioritize projects, I will definitely call upon Energy Integrity to assist me with my efficiency needs! Thanks Spencer!
