Leigh Watson has a fully staffed landscaping team. Leigh was very knowledgeable about native plants and landscaping and made my backyard beautiful with all my requests fulfilled. Her team got my huge rain barrel connected to an irrigation hose, planted 70 native species plants, installed flagstone, installed a gravel path all in three days. The price was reasonable and I will be able to get the California turf replacement rebate as well. Couldn’t be happier.

I highly recommend L. Watson Design & Co. Our house sits atop a slope that is quite steep in places and we were having problems with mud and debris washing onto the neighbors' patio below. The owner, Leigh, worked up a plan consisting of native plantings and terracing with drainage. The price was reasonable and we found Leigh and her crew to be knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and responsive. The job was completed within the expected time frame and they did everything they could to be responsive and unobtrusive during the work. It was quite a big job but they clearly knew what they were doing and we're very happy with the result. We are so glad to have found this company. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Very happy with the work done.

My roof was replaced, and eave extended and and the front porch was extended. The work was high quality. One note: I asked for my attic wind turbines to be saved and reused - I was surprised to find them looking brand new with a coat of paint that matched all of roof vents.

I also had my front yard landscaped.

The new path leading to the front door looks great. The mulch and rock beds set off the new lawn. Sprinklers were installed and everything works great. Lots of compliments from the neighbors. Just need to plant a few succulents,

We recently contracted with AD for a bathroom rebuild (from plumbing through to finishes) and this company provided excellent service across the board! From customer service to skillful construction, Hector and his team thoroughly satisfied our expectations. The workers are pleasant, punctual, and (most especially and very importantly) diligent and skilled. I’ve rarely seen more industrious workers and the finished product is beautiful. American Development Construction Company San Diego has done an amazing job on our remodeling project. They have done their best to work with my budget and trust me, the did not lower their quality of work. The crew showed up on time every day, worked efficiently, and paid great attention to detail. They finished the job in 1 week while other builders told me would take 3 weeks. They completely transformed our outdoor space into a beautiful, functional area, from the artificial turf and salt surface concrete to irrigation system.

I know James and the entire DRD team for over five years. I'm happy recommend them to anybody looking to hire a full landscape architecture design and build firm in San Diego. Creativeness, attention to detail and easy to work with.

These guys are masters of their craft. James came to our home for a consult and was very open and honest about how they work, the style of their work, and what scope of projects they're best at. Despite their being our top pick, we didn't end up being able to work with them due to budgetary constraints at the time and even STILL, James came back our home after he knew this and graciously helped talk through what we could do within our budget and even offered up his ideas knowing we may end up doing the work ourselves. They put a personal care and touch into their work and show a personal side to business that isn't often found. I can't recommend these guys enough.

John, Andrew and Luis at Deep Rooted Designs were an absolute dream to work with. I wanted to re-do the front of my house which included building a patio and eco-friendly landscaping. Their process is fantastic. John, landscape architect and owner, met with me to discuss my plans and he thoroughly covered their services. Andrew, landscape architect, developed a beautiful design based on my specs and patiently worked with me until I was satisfied. He provided great insights as to what would work best for my home. Then came the installation. Luis, project manager, was just as outstanding. He provided updates on timelines, gracefully answered any questions I had, and seamlessly supervised and coordinated all activities. The subcontractors John employs are just as professional as his team. They are competent in their respective expertise and were very respectful of my home. The final result was a QUALITY and BEAUTIFUL design. The design was even better than the 3-D pictures they provided at the start of the project. John and his team are the consummate professionals and always have the client’s best interests in mind. Finally, it is incredibly rare to find a team that delivers on time and on budget. Deep Rooted Designs is a group of young professional men who do things right the first time. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping/ outdoor project. I am the envy of all my neighbors. I first found Deep Rooted Designs on instagram. I was looking for a company that could design my project and also do the work. I called around to a few companies looking for someone. James was referred to me by another company. He came out to my home and had some great ideas for me. Unfortunately my home is too far north in San Diego for him to help me. The good news is he took the time to refer me someone he knows and has worked with. I would highly recommend James if you have a landscape project. I found him to be very honest and upfront.

What I liked most about working with the Deep Rooted Design crew was their desire to make sure we were satisfied with the end result. As with any project, you have things that come up that change and evolve as the project is underway. The key is making sure you're on the same page, communicating as much as possible along the way so you end up with what you had envisioned.
In the beginning the design was very well executed by Megan. Her knowledge of plants and design, as well as, her ability to take my ideas and skillfully render them into a beautiful blueprint made this process very enjoyable. It's also important to me that as hard as these guys work on demolition, laying a flagstone patio and pathway, spreading crushed rock etc. they seem to be treated well by management. I know this comes from good leadership, and James gives the impression that he cares. His project coordinator, Luis, is also someone who is trustworthy, and dependable. If I ever had a concern or question, he always responded in a timely manner, and I felt like I could count on him to make sure things got done.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience working with the whole crew.

We just recently renovated our backyard with James and we had an amazing experience. James exceeded our expectations on every detail. He was always very professional and respectful.
