Greg is my go-to guy for anything electrical. Most recently (this morning 9/1/22) I asked for his help on changing an ac breaker on my main electrical panel. He inspected it and noticed that the connection was loose and went to work replacing this breaker making sure the connection was stronger so that my ac would stop tripping. Fine, quality work.
My first experience with HG electric was back in February 2020 for a GFCI outlet for my ensuite toilet. I got a couple of bids for this project and his was in line with other electricians. He was very responsive when asked for a quote via Yelp! and it turns out he lives really close to me. I liked the work he performed with my GFCI outlet that I reached out to him regarding a busted recessed light in my kitchen. He assessed the light and recommended I move to LED lights. I could not have been happier with that decision. Its much brighter in my kitchen and does not require a change in bulbs as in the incandescent lights that were previously there. Then I asked him to install the same LEDs in my kids bedroom so that they could read in their room. My kids eyes will be happy with that decision going forward.
Bottom line Greg is a master electrician. He is the first person I call for any electrical needs. I can say with 100% confidence that you will satisfied with his work also.

I was highly impressed with Greg’s professionalism. I had called several places for an estimate. He got back to me right away and came out quickly for an estimate. His estimate was impressive for a quality job and he took some time to educate on my different options. He returned a few days later to install a chandelier, fix and update an outdoor outlet, several lights switches and hide some outdated stereo wiring. I would not hesitate to contact him again for any of my electrical needs.

We needed two outlets installed in our garage to charge electric vehicles we just bought. Greg at HG Electric answered my telephone call, came out to look at our setup, and installed the outlets within a couple days. Top notch work. Greg recently ran wiring for a new higher amperage built-in oven, from the kitchen through the attic to an outside breaker panel. He carefully and neatly installed new conduit on the outside of the home in a way that minimized the visual impact of the conduit at the front of the home.

He installed the required junction boxes in the kitchen, again carefully and neatly.

It was a pleasure working with Greg. He was punctual and pleasant, both when coming out for the free estimate and again when doing the work. Highly recommended!

We hired Greg from HG Electric for a lighting installation and were very impressed. He arrived on time, was professional throughout, and completed the work efficiently. Greg took care of a laundry list of items after we moved into our new house; Outdoor and Indoor lighting replacements x4, electrical wiring on our hot tub, 2 giant chandeliers, and installed new switches & pendant lights. Was very easy to work with. Looking forward to working with Greg again.

Greg from HG Electric came by and diagnosed my issue of a broken breaker caused by high voltage tesla charger. He fixed the breaker and was very informative on explaining everything. He allowed me to watch him fix it and show me around the electrical box. Were also gonna have Greg fix all the other parts in the box. Great communicator and highly recommended for electrical needs!

Took them almost 2 months to respond to a warranty claim on our new home. Poor quality of work.

Very poor job on wiring the electrical garage opener in my place. No phone calls for inspection and no replies on the email been almost 25 days and no response. Company is unreliable and does not get the job right correctly the first time

Hy-Lang Electric installed surveillance camera's on a multi-family project of ours and I had contacted them several times to install additional equipment and upgrade the equipment we currently use. I have met with them on-site, called and emailed several times and have been promised a bid and to date still have not received a bid nor a response call or email back. Disappointing and time wasting to deal with.

This company did all the electrical work for my condominium complex when first built in 2012. Ever since then, I have had trouble with my smoke alarms. In 2013, a tech from Hy-Lang checked the voltage on all my smoke alarms & ended up replacing 2 batteries.

Every 2 years, I get the middle of the night loud chirping from my smoke alarms. I have called Brian, the VP, on more than 20 occasions & he never returns my calls!!!

I replaced all my batteries 2 years ago with 10 year batteries, costing over $100, and again the ‘middle of the night chirping just last week, random chirps from everywhere.

After purchasing all new 3 & 3 (smoke + smoke & CO) from Home Depot costing over $200, I went to batteries & bulbs who told me it is likely not the smoke alarms at all but the type of batteries used. He said you need to SPEAK WITH THE MANUFACTURER!

This company is disreputable and should not be in business. I will take this complaint to small claims court.

A check was sent in error to Hy Lang and when I reached out which they got back to me initially, but when I followed up after, they blew me off. I have been trying to recoup $800 that belongs to the Association I manage, so beware as this demonstrates their integrity, or lack there of. Unfortunately, I don’t have much other recourse, so I must resort to this. Although Karma will catch up, it always does!

I could not give them a worse review. My council would be to avoid at all costs. They were dishonest and stole what was owed to us. They knew it and the second that they realized, they hid under a rock from us and avoided trying to make anything right. They have no integrity. For your own benefit, I would advise you to use any other electrician.
