We live in Imperial Valley, and after a fruitless experience with Blackman Plumbing, I called American Leak Detection in San Diego. I thought it would be more expensive for them to drive the 2 hours back and forth, but it was not. The technician had many years of experience, sophisticated equipment, and solved the problem quickly, accurately, and with minimal damage to our walls. Even though the leak was under the slab, he was able to repair it in a few hours for a reasonable price (about half Blackman's estimate). The technician was courteous, clean and thorough. Highly recommend!!

Had a slab leak and called Darryl. He said he'd come same-day. He rolled in at 2pm, right on time. Showed up at the door with no tools, but I walked him through where my water main was, where I was hearing the leak, and where the bathrooms were. He walks around for a minute and we go back outside to the water main. He stands there for a minute thinking, and with no tools and no detector, he says... well, if I was building your house and I was plumbing it from the ground up, I'd run one 3/4 line from here to the kitchen and then on to the 2nd floor bathrooms, and I'd run a separate 3/4 line off to the water heater and the downstairs bathroom. We can hear the leak in the downstairs bathroom but the hot water shutoff doesn't eliminate it, so I think it's a cold water leak between the main and the downstairs bathroom, in the slab.

Then he went out to his truck and got some Ghostbusters-style equipment, hooks it all up, the water lines are exactly where he predicted, and the leak is exactly where he said it would be. I contracted a different guy to come and replace it the next day, and it went just like Darryl said it would.

Totally amazing. 10/10. Rare to find a contractor who knows his stuff like this.

I am very glad I went with Darrel. He found where the leak was under the slab, marked out the location of the pipes, and took time to find where the pipes came up in the walls so that we could simply cap The pipe that fed the leak under the slab, and then reroute the water supply through the wall and the back of the kitchen cabinets. He was also nice, and very knowledgeable.

San Diego Leak Detection is the best! Darrel went above and beyond to detect my slab leak and determine the best solution to repair it. He stepped in after another company failed and said company wanted to charge an additional fee to come back and try again. Glad I called San Diego Leak Detection instead.

I called Daryl this am about a possible leak. He was able to come within 1-2 hours and . did a thorough inspection/ found no leak, thank goodness . He is a very professional , responsible, and knowledge person I had used him many years ago for a leak. Did not hesitate to call him again. So glad he is still working. Thanks again Daryl..

Usually have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for supplies

They have overnight parking. But middle of night drivers make you move your truck. They act like they own the yard. No public restroom. Not even for drivers. All the employees not on same page. Appointment was 9:00 AM. Took they 2 hours to unload. And no one brought paper work to me after being empty. After 30 mins Had to go inside for paperwork.
Very bad experience. Employees need to respect other drivers.
