Flowercraft is the bee’s🐝 knees!! I started coming here when I picked up gardening as a pandemic hobby and every staff member I’ve interacted with has been kind, thoughtful, and a wealth of information.

This year I’m working on a gardening project at a local elementary school. The garden was destroyed by construction last year so after mulching it all, I wanted some plants to brighten it up. Noel spent over an hour helping me pick out edibles, succulents, and flowers from the “bargain basement”, and brainstorming ways to build the beds out in a way that discourages gophers from getting to it. When I came in I felt daunted by my project, but left feeling encouraged and excited to tackle it.

Flowercraft is everything that one could hope for out of a local business and I am a customer for as long as I can survive in this city!

Love this place, gorgeous plants and the shop always has the garden supplies I need. Super friendly and helpful staff. Much better than the big box store across the street.

Beautiful! Inviting. Staff is knowledgeable & helpful. Plants are thoughtfully arranged, not as if in a holding pen I have seen elsewhere. Inventory supporting any gardening project is complete.

Really not helpful. I don’t know much about plants and was excited to purchase a bunch but the sales person was really not interested in helping me. I felt more like an inconvenience for them than a customer. Not great since I live like 5 minutes away.

A little oasis of flora tucked away in the grit and grime of Bayshore. Support this local plant nursery rather than going across the street to Lowes which are awful. Flowercraft always have a diverse selection of plants and they update their inventory regularly. They stock a lot of amazing California natives too! They are very pricey, but they’re located on a small lot and employ a fair amount of staff that are always helpful and knowledgeable. Support this local small business!

I am so happy to have found this place! It has exactly what i wanted which i spent so much time searching on amazon but couldn't find! The staff are friendly and helpful. And i like their slogan : selling happiness

Great place for plant collectors! Substrate needs for your soil mixes along with chunky perlite and pumice! You can pretty much stop here and leave with everything you would need. I became a new friend to this store quickly. Just good folks that you can learn from and laugh with. First bought the variegated odora came back the next day for some horticultural charc that I forgot and they gave me a ficus Audrey cutting! Those are the kind of things you’ll only get out of a mom pop shop like this. I was at Lowe’s across the street looking at plants for 30 minutes and the loss prevention guy was making sure I wasn’t stealing. 😔 sadly that’s what I have to deal with at a big dept store like that. Really cute little nursery with a good selection of natives which was my aim. The woodland strawberries and yarrow and sticky monkey flowers I looked at all looked really nice and healthy too. There's also a selection of native seeds inside. They even had a little carnivorous section.

We love our neighborhood plant store! The place is big and filled with everything you need for your plant needs. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are crammed with plants. The staff are very friendly and will help you with any plant questions you may have. Parking is rough in an industrial neighborhood next to Bayshore, but we've always been able to find something close by. The prices are worth it!

Great independent nursery featuring a wide selection of ornamental, native, fruit trees, vegetable and indoor plants and supplies. this is one of my favorite bay area stores. the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have soil, bulbs and succulents,garden prunes bulbs and Air plants too. this is a fun garden center. I jeep going back.

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Flowercraft. I found a lucky clover plant at a very reasonable price, and the selection was lovely. The nursery has so many unique and charming plants, perfect for plant lovers. I’ll definitely be coming back again for more plant hunting! 🤩✨🪴🍃🌱

Came here with my cousin who is an avid vegetable gardener, which can be tough in the foggy Northern California coast, but that said this place is very impressive! Huge selection of everything one needs for all aspects of gardening or landscaping, a true gem in this quieter southwest corner of SF

This is a very nice nursery with helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff and always healthy plants.
Wide aisles with most of the plants outside , so pushing a cart even with a Schipperke on a leash is not much of a chore.
A bit pricey.
The Zoo is across the street and the beach within 2 blocks .

All you could dream of as a plant newbie. There's an outdoor section and indoor section with selections from teeny tiny 2 in succulents to mid-sized desk plants to taller-than-people sized palms. I was impressed they had the largest air plant I'd ever seen. Fair amount of pots to choose from, not so many decorations, and also had nice terrarium kits/materials.

Walked around the store for maybe 40 minutes, not a single person asked if I needed anything. I actually came in hoping to buy some large house plants, a lot of soil to repot my existing plants, & some cute pots. Left with nothing after I asked someone for help wearing the store shirt to which they said “I don’t work here”. One girl was on her phone in the corner, I walked past her 5 times & she never looked up. Extremely disappointing experience.

If you're looking for gardening supplies then head on over to Sloat Garden Center. They carry a decent variety of indoor and outdoor plants, and they also have an endless amount of pots to choose from. The succulents came in larger pots than what I was looking for but it would be great for those looking to landscape their front or back yard.

Overall the prices may be slightly higher but the quality exceeds what you would find at your local big boxed retailer. It's a great one stop shop for all your gardening needs. They also have a decent sized parking lot right outside which is quite helpful when you are trying to load up your car!

Circling for parking, lines daily, crowded, and molasses-slow cashier service, but WOW is there a large selection. Prices of the non-plant inventory might make you cry and run away... Alas, I was tired of going 30-50 miles to find the perfect plant or seed. When I finally caved in after nine years of living near it, I spent an hour just looking, and watched the kind staff greeting at the door, running assist anyone with heavy items, answering questions in detail. Very clean and well organized inventory with category signage. Still... Pricey and slow. Four stars it is!

I love Sloat, they always have an excellent selection of healthy plants and cute pots. However, the two employees I interacted with today were bizarrely rude and brisk. I wish Sloat would hire people who can at least maintain the facade of friendly customer service. The interaction put a damper on an otherwise lovely shopping experience.

This is a very nice garden center -- much better than the big chain garden centers. Some things are a bit pricey but it's always a pleasure to visit. The staff is friendly and there is a decent selection of seeds.

Most importantly: The saffron bulbs we bought from here last year are FLOWERING, whereas bulbs bought from other sources have not flowered for the 3+ years we've had them.

We got a couple reasonably-priced tomatoes which are doing rather well OUTSIDE in the cold foggy SF coast!

Consistently great and friendly workers will identify pests, answer plant care questions, and help select appropriate plants. I primarily go for succulents (large variety), potting soil, fertilizer, pest control, and modest pots, all of which are reasonably priced. (The houseplants seem pricy, though look particularly healthy.)

My first review. I live within walking distance from this nursery, so, it’s convenient to buy some of my houseplants and soil from them. But I must say the price is rather high for houseplants and the collection is just OK. I didn’t see (at least the few times I was there), many of the houseplants I saw on Etsy. So I sometimes bought rare houseplants and succulents I saw on Etsy that nursery doesn’t have. Staff are ok here, could be friendlier. The one time staff being friendly and kind was when I bought couple bags of soils - the man helped loaded the soils into my trunk. Thank you! I only wish the prices are bit lower and they have more variety in houseplant.
