Best place to go for garden plants, pots, indoor plants etc! They have it all. Never leave there empty handed! Love this place! Just bought 2 wind chimes plus cute decorated pumpkins with plants inside. Cute gifts or for your self!

For health reasons I decided to take up the earthy hobby of gardening. Unfortunately, one of my not so dwarf citrus trees died after many years and they helped me to confirm what I was denying. In search of a replacement in addition to other seeds, seedlings, companion plants, bee and butterfly attractants, etc... I came here.

In addition to letting me down easy... They helped me find the jasmine I was searching for and discussed the different varieties to help me determine what would be best in my garden. They have a Dutch Auction sale coming up that I am hoping to attend.

In addition to the variety of gardening goods... They have classes! They have family activities! With membership (free) most classes are free unless you need materials you will take home. I am trying to take my kids to the Create A Fairy Garden one but have to balance a Birthday month of activities. I am working up the courage to attend the Bonzai class and see if that can be resuscitated next... Good thing all my recent plantings seem to be doing well.

I went looking for some indoor plants that could survive my SF apartment and ended up at Sloat Garden center. They have a great selection of both indoor and outdoor plants as well as all the pots, soil and garden gnomes you could want. There selection is good and staff is very friendly in helping pick out the right plants. They also have a parking lot out front which makes loading up plants much easier. Although some of their larger plants were more expensive than I expected., the quality was good and so far everything has been thriving. Definitely recommend.

A bit on the pricey side but the quality is hard to beat. Always inspiring to stop by and browse all their plants. Plus, surprisingly their glazed pots are actually a pretty good deal and come in a great mix of colors

Love the place,I usually go to the nursery elsewhere, but after working in the field, they got lots of variety to choose from, have 1 cu ft bags of all soils types

Fantastic place. I've been coming here since I was a toddler in the 90s with my family and now I come to eat mushrooms in the outdoor garden and talk with the trees. It's really productive and meditating to come in and relate with the plants, man. I came in recently to buy some soil, plants and pots for my new garden. The staff where really nice and didn't seem to mind that I was tripping in their garden. I'll be sad when this place closes though :(

The Sloat Garden Center has a nice variety of flowers, plants, pots, and accessories. There are a lot of helpful staff around. I went there during a sale which was worth going to. I also used a coupon that they sent to me. They have a parking lot and there is good enough parking around the area too.

An exciting place. All is well stocked with everything native and otherwise. Indoor and outdoor plants. Green decorative plants as well as variety for the veggie garden. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. I love going here. I purchased some bulbs for fall planting, native perennials for my community garden plot, and some seed starter soil.

Local garden center with pretty much everything you'll need for indoor and outdoor gardening. Has a limited selection of rare houseplants that cycles somewhat frequently

Come here to check out their local full stock of seeds, California native plants, and seasonal blooms. I’m always around at least once a month and love their rewards program. There’s so much variety that I’m often there for over an hour or two just picking out my favorites and googling care tips for the plants I like.

Beautiful flowers, plants, planters, and all the soils, and feeders you need for your garden; indoor or outdoor. Even other novelties to decorate your home for seasonal displays. A little pricey and today's visit it was hard to find help. However I'd still return... Checker had great customer service.

Highly recommend Sloat Garden Center. Not only are they very knowledgeable about the plants, Habitat and fertilization needs but they are extremely honest. I recently purchased four pots and the next day I got a call saying that they overcharged me. Was a honest mistake but they caught it! Just because of this I’ll continue to do my business with SGC. Absolutely amazing customer service and thank you!!

The staff were friendly. But I’d have to say the inventory on this day was pretty bare. I must have visited on a day they haven’t restocked. This is my second time visiting this center and I still enjoy it and always get plants when I didn’t even plan to. Will definitely continue to shop at this shop. They do have a lot of variety and pretty much everything you’ll need.

This place came highly recommended. We couldn't have been more disappointed. Not only did they not have the plants we called in advance about, but the employees didn't even try to help us find an alternative, which we were open to. Two employees asked us if we were finding everything okay, we told them what we were looking for. One employee provided no information (why ask then?) and the other employee said they weren't sure, and then went to the corner and was texting. Waste of time, don't go here unless you're ready to roll the dice on them having exactly what you want. The employees will not help you. We wandered around googling things, gave up, left empty handed.

    PRICE-GOUGING GALORE!!!!

These extremely common houseplants are marked up AT LEAST 2x - 3x what they would normally cost at literally any other nursery or garden center (SF Flower Market has the same 10” Dracaena Lemon Lime for $30 even without their membership discount).

On top of that, I’ve showed up at 4:48pm and 4:38pm on consecutive days and have been rejected. I understand social distancing and limiting customers, but there was literally no one in line either time. And your store currently does not close until 5pm. That means, you let paying customers in until 5pm.

Sadly, so much for trying to support my local neighborhood small business. I’ll spend my time and money at Home Depot next time, where the same items are half the price and the customer service is actually customer-friendly.

Went out of my way yesterday to drive to this establishment to explore plants and supplies and felt very unwelcome. I was treated like a ghost and that's interesting being that I had more color than anyone in there and a lot more pleasing to the eyes as well. If you are a person of color, I wouldn't waist my time patronizing this store. They weren't busy and not once was I greeted of ask if assistance is needed. Very cold.......not warm, friendly or inviting at all. The thing is, if I wanted to spend good money there I easily could've. Shame on Sloat Garden Center.
