Our home was built in the 70's and needed updating. We had our kitchen remodeled by Bay Builders about five years ago and it is absolutely beautiful! We were so happy with their work that we recently had our master bathroom remodeled by them too. It is amazing! They did a fabulous job once again, always going above and beyond. I highly recommend this company. We will seek them again for our front bathroom remodel in the near future. Thank you!

Working with Tom & his Bay Builders team has been amazing. We've always known that we wanted to update our home that was built in the 90s, but we didn't know how to approach it. We knew how we wanted the kitchen to feel but didn't know how to define it. This is where Bay Builders excels. They take the time to get to know the client, understand their needs and desires, and patiently walk them through the process.

Tom started by having us send him our ideas and styles we wanted for our kitchen, we discussed them with his design team, and then we went to different cabinet makers to get a sense of the materials. We eventually settled on the materials, and his designer was able to input our desires into a 3D CAD model. The 3D render is super important to us because it would be foolish to spend a lot of money on a kitchen reno thinking it would look one way in your head but have it turn out differently in the end. Once we liked it, we bought materials, his building team was super easy to work with and showed fine craftsmanship, and executed our vision. They were flexible when we wanted to make modifications to the plan and overall were super professional. We are so happy with their work that we decided to go with them again for our master bathroom remodel, which we are currently doing.

While searching for contractors to remodel our master and guest bathrooms, some friends recommended Bay Builders. We contacted them and Gilad responded immediately and came to our home to assemble a quote. The pricing was competitive and we selected them. During the planning process, we asked for help in narrowing down the endless selections of tiles, etc. Gilad asked us to provide some photos of colors and styles we liked, and then he took us to various stores to pick out everything. This was incredibly helpful and was a big plus for us.

During the remodels, Gilad was very responsive to our questions and calls/texts and provided timely updates. His crew worked hard and understood the high standards that he had. They were all also very friendly and respectful. As both bathrooms neared completion, Gilad found some things that he thought could be improved, and his crew fixed them immediately. We ended up expanding the project to include a garage remodel as well. Gilad and his team came up with some innovative ways to implement the storage needs that we had.

We were very impressed and pleased with Gilad and Bay Builders and wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to others!

From quote to completion our kitchen remodel was handled with great care and professionalism.

We had our master bathroom remodeled with Isaac as the PM and Miguel the lead contractor. We are really happy with our beautiful new bathroom and adjacent walk-in closet. Both Isaac and Miguel are very positive people and good communicators, so when the inevitable small glitches came up, we were able to work easily through them.

I recently remodeled two full bathrooms with Bay Builders. While this was a big deal to me, it is often hard to find a builder to take on less than a full house remodel or an addition. From the minute Tal came to provide an estimate through project completion, I knew Bay Builders was the right choice. Tal was a great partner through the entire project. He managed all of the processes and crews seamlessly and also provided expertise that helped me make difficult decisions along the way – including finding a carpenter who was able to craft beautiful custom vanities and a linen closet! The entire build crew was fantastic and could not have been nicer to work with. Miguel and his team are dedicated to making sure things are done right and they don’t take shortcuts which I appreciated. I can’t recommend Bay Builders (and Tal specifically) enough!

We needed a professional contractor that could accomplish our kitchen renovation project in a tight timeline because we were expecting our first baby. We felt Bay Builders would be able to do that when Tal & Shawn first came to give the quote. We were happy that we chose them. Tal, as our project manager, and Rene, as the lead foreman, were very professional & easy to work with. They always answered our questions promptly and checked on the work progress on a daily basis. Their crew was on-time, polite, and considerate knowing that we stayed in part of the house during the whole renovation. Tal also scheduled the subcontractors and their crew efficiently to make sure the project was continuously on-going. Our baby ended up delivered early, and Bay builders did the best they could so that we had at least a semi-functional kitchen when we got home from the hospital. Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome and professionalism from Bay Builders and would recommend them to others.

Scope of work:
It was a complete remodel. It included some structural changes, kitchen and bathrooms, flooring, windows and doors, etc.

People:
Gilad is the experienced, meticulous and responsible owner. Rene is the knowledgeable, creative, and get-things-done field manager. Eshed is the upbeat, detail-oriented, and communicative project manager.

Process:
At the project start, they submitted a detailed contract with payment milestones. I was able to track throughout the project.

Eshed worked with the designer and kept track of all the materials and design choices.

Gilad anticipated some impractical designs. We avoided much headache (and change orders) down the line.

Rene and Gilad found creative solutions when we encountered technical challenges. And they didn’t let things fall through the crack. They ensured: the roofer and stucco person build a water proof house; the cabinet maker and electrician make seamless LED-lit-shelves; the windows and screens contractors create seamless ceiling to floor view.

Rene pushed the project through the finish line. At one point we passed all but energy forms in final inspection. But the energy consultant was not responsive. Rene took it on even though it's outside of Bay Builder scope.

After project complete, we inevitably find small requests. They are responsive and follow through on the requests.

Large-scale remodeling (in the bay area) is complex and challenging. Even with the best contractors, the homeowner needs to be engaged and decisive. But it can be an eye-opening and invigorating learning experience. If you work with responsible builders such as Gilad and his team. Best of luck!

Our project involved remodeling a fairly large kitchen area, parts of living room(s), master suite, and several other bathrooms. From the very beginning, Gilad was able to provide guidance and confidence for the process. They have worked on so many large projects, nothing would seem difficult for them to build or implement.

Communication: Eshed, our project manager, has been amazing to work with. He is so cheerful and on top of things. He would send us regular (almost daily) updates, keep track of list of materials / fixtures, what needs to be ordered, when would fixtures be delivered, etc. Every change order was clearly itemized and emailed for Docusign. We felt extremely comfortable having him take care of things.

Process: the entire process from design, to demo, to installation, and final touch-up was seamless. They are well organized and well staffed, every component of the job was arranged and planned out perfectly, it is a very tightly run and efficient business workflow. No time was wasted waiting to shuffle workers around, nothing needed to be worked on twice because someone made a mistake.

Quality of work: These guys have a high bar, and can deliver exactly what the renderings look like. Gilad is extremely detail oriented, and pushes the entire team to get all the details right.

Our requirement was unique since we own a commercial building, so we were really looking for a contractor who had commercial experience. While I interviewed a handful of commercial-only specialists, I heard of Bay Builders through a friend, who raved about their work and customer service after they just finished their newly-remodeled home. We just finished up a 3 month project with Bay Builders on a major transformation of the sunroom, kitchen, living room and dining room (and some other smaller items) and we could not be happier with the results. We recently moved into the home and had a vision in mind for what we wanted. Ofir, Rene and the rest of the Bay Builders team turned that dream into a reality and then some!

First, the project was not easy as the home was a bit older and there were some structural changes that needed to be done. Ofir and Rene were communicative with the change orders (including some key recommendations like changing the flooring in the sunroom and upgrading the electrical panel to code) and very fair with pricing. We had a fixed budget initially and managed to stay within those bounds.

In addition, the timelines matched expectations set from the initial project proposal (even with some unforeseen changes with the electrical panel upgrade). Rene and his team were quick, thorough, clean and extremely professional.
