The job is replacement of electrical panel. PGE warns about exposed conductors in the weather head. Since the panel is > 50 years old and is not capable of handling modern power needs like EV charging, I opt to replace the whole panel. Fuse is able to get it done, including scheduling with PGE for disconnect/connecting power and inspection, within a day at a reasonable price. Thanks.

I have been waiting for months for Fuse to complete permitting and inspection of their installation of a water heater. Their permitting department claimed that our home wasn’t registered. When I explained that previous permits were granted, they still claimed some issue. I got other work done recently, and permits were pulled again, successfully. I shared the permit application to Fuse - so that they can be sure to get everything right. And still, no action by them. I received a garbled response by email that did not make sense.

Permitting and inspection were a part of the contract. I’ve been providing so much information and support to the permitting department. And in response Fuse is like a black hole of communication.

Read through the reviews here. The positive reviews end at installation. Fuse are also responsible to get the permit before the work is done, and to get the installation inspected and approved. Their permitting department is sadly terrible to work with. There is no follow through.

Great customer service all around. They did a great job explaining the quote and all available discounts and rebates available. During installation Tony and Henry were a great team and completed the installation of my heat pump HVAC ahead of schedule in one day. Tony explained how to use the system afterwards and tested everything to make sure everything was functioning properly. The left the workspace very clean aftet the installation. I would definitely recommend Fuse for any future projects. In fact I’m planning to have them install a heat pump water heater next year.

Replaced 40-gal gas water heater with 50-gal gas htr, new flex hoses, pan, earthquake straps and shut-off valve. Added expansion tank. Replaced the flue, which contained asbestos. All old materials removed. They are managing the permit with San Jose. Took just under 4 hours. Installation was professional and clean. Price was competitive.
