I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Bay Builders and Remodeling. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. They were professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. The quality of craftsmanship exceeded my expectations, and they kept the worksite clean and organized every day.

We first heard about Bay Builders from a realtor friend who highly recommended them. We interviewed multiple contractors, all of whom had done nice work, but Bay Builders really stood out right from the beginning. During the proposal process, they came to the house a few times to ensure they captured the full scope of the project. Additionally, we wanted to see their quality of work so Gilad arranged a few site visits and connected us with past clients who all raved about Gilad and his team. It was clear that Bay Builders was the best choice for quality and speed.

From the beginning of the process until the end, Bay Builders was exceptional to work with. We had a dedicated project manager, Tomar, who really helped communicate what was happening that week and managed the subs. More importantly, Tomar was such a pleasure to work with. He is very approachable, detailed and diligent. I've heard nightmare stories about other contractors being slow, hard to contact and missing deadlines, but Gilad and Tomar made the entire process stress free and enjoyable! They were great about keeping us informed about what was going on, what decisions needed to be made so that we could stay on schedule. If any issues arose, Gilad and Tomar would always come to the table with a solution and assure us that at the end of the day, they wanted to make sure we were happy.

The quality of their work is outstanding and our project finished on time which is rarity given the complexity and change orders associated with our remodel! They have excellent communication skills, are very detail oriented and most importantly, have your best interest at heart. I would highly recommend them. Everyone who has seen the finished product is blown away by the transformation. We are so happy with how our home turned out.

Could not be happier with the job that they did for us adding on a room to our home. The final product was beautiful, their communication was excellent, and the price was exactly what they said it would be. The whole team was very knowledgeable, and did a nice job guiding us through making the best decisions while also listening to our preferences. They even did a nice job working around the dog. A special shout out to Rene, who in addition to everything said above, is just a terrific guy.

We just finished up a 3 month project with Bay Builders on a major transformation of the sunroom, kitchen, living room and dining room (and some other smaller items) and we could not be happier with the results. We recently moved into the home and had a vision in mind for what we wanted. Ofir, Rene and the rest of the Bay Builders team turned that dream into a reality and then some!

First, the project was not easy as the home was a bit older and there were some structural changes that needed to be done. Ofir and Rene were communicative with the change orders (including some key recommendations like changing the flooring in the sunroom and upgrading the electrical panel to code) and very fair with pricing. We had a fixed budget initially and managed to stay within those bounds.

In addition, the timelines matched expectations set from the initial project proposal (even with some unforeseen changes with the electrical panel upgrade). Rene and his team were quick, thorough, clean and extremely professional. My wife and I are thrilled we partnered with Bay Builders on this project, and would highly recommend them and work with them again in the future.

Best place to redo your home

Chris and his crew are friendly, pleasant, easy to work with, efficient, perfectionists, and responsive. A pleasure to work with. They did the installation of my new kitchen and did a good job.

When my brother passed away last year,my 89-year old mom could no longer live in her house in Cupertino and moved to Hawaii to live with me and my family. I was tasked with remodeling her house (bathrooms and kitchen) and tried to find a good contractor in an area. While I lived in CA 30 years ago and have friends in the area, I did not have any idea on who could do the work. It was also difficult going back and forth between HI and CA. My mom also had a lot of items still in the house that had to be sorted through and these items would be in the house while construction was in progress.

After three different contractors looked at the house and gave estimates, I finally decided to try going through Home Depot. Fortunately, Home Works was given the contract for only the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I ended up hiring Home Works to do a complete remodel of the kitchen and bathrooms. This included obtaining all required permits, installing a new electrical box, re-wiring the kitchen and bathrooms to bring them up to code (safety!), ripping out damaged flooring and replacing (their tile work is dope!), installing vent fans, etc. They are THAT good..and more.

Chris, Paul and Jerry are the ultimate professionals in every sense of the word. They have high standards and they do not cut corners or try to cover up imperfections that may come back to cost the homeowner even more in the future. Their work is top-notch. I can't begin to describe how impressed I am with this each and every one of them. I had to travel back and forth from Hawaii and, most of the time, I was not in the house when they were working. Because of the emotional aspect surrounding the renovation and the distance between my home in HI and the CA house, I felt pretty vulnerable and acutely aware that anyone working on the house could take advantage of the situation. I came to trust them implicitly. When I was in the house (painting), I could tell they were extremely skilled and efficient. As mentioned in a previous review, Chris is the glue that holds it all together. Paul's expertise and craftsmanship are outrageous!

Chris and his crew just finished remodeling our three bathrooms. I cannot say enough good words about the work they have done. They are professional in the highest sense of the word, in all and every aspect of their work. Every suggestion they made was worth listening to and implementing. The perfection of their work is beyond any expectations, their work ethics is superb, they are always on time and deliver as promised, and they work extremely neatly, even when the dirtiest work is involved. We enjoy our new bathrooms every moment we use them, and we get a lot of compliments on the new looks. We are fortunate to have had worked With Chris and his crew, and we are sure everybody else would be as happy with them as we are.

Chris and his team renovated my kitchen and painted my condo in 2013. They were always extremely professional and friendly. They always arrived on time. Their craftsmanship was outstanding and I am very pleased with the finished renovation. I will be calling Chris and his team for future renovations and I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a job, big or small, done well and quickly.

I met with several contractors for our full home renovation, and Chris really stood out as a genuinely kind and helpful person to work with. He was easy to talk to, very honest and straightforward, and pointed out some things that a couple other contractors told me that I needed but actually didn't. His pricing was extremely fair and reasonable. The only reasons why we didn't go with Home Works are because of 1) our time-frame and 2) we need a company that would take care of all aspects of the project, such as design and engineering, due to our hectic schedules.

Although we didn't go with Chris for this renovation, we'd love to contact him for future remodeling projects. I was so impressed by his excellent communication and professionalism that I just had to write a stellar review.

We have done two bathroom remodeling jobs with Chris and his team, and they've done a very high quality, professional job every time. They stayed true to their quote and did not change things up mid way through. They took excellent precautions to protect the surroundings and carpet and floors while they did their work. Their people were trustworthy and friendly. I would recommend Chris to anyone who needs a remodeling contractor.

We bought our home last year and it was in need of some significant repairs and remodeling. One of our realtor's recommendations was Homeworks. We decided to go with them after meeting with several other contractors. We are glad we chose them to complete what turned out to be a full home remodel. Recently, Chris completed a major kitchen remodel for me and it turned out beautifully. Because it was progressing so well, I went on to update the entry way, bathrooms and dining room. The costs were fair and well-defined before we began each project (I had other contractors submit bids). Having done major remodels before, I knew how important it was to have respectful, reliable and professional people coming into my home each day and Chris and his workers met my expectations. They were on time, trust worthy and neat. They could also be flexible when needed. I appreciated the clean-up each day and the care they took with my house. Chris was also helpful with advice related to those details that can make the difference in a project, like choosing the right toilet or finding the best crown molding. Finally, I recognized Chris's efforts to work well with the City of San Jose or vendors we came in contact with, which is important in moving a project forward.

Very poor concrete work! New pathway is not leveled and the required slope is missing. The owner refuses to fix the problem, so we will have the pathway redone by a different contractor, and sue for damages.
