Service was excellent! On time and very professional. Would have been five stars except that carpet took much longer than 8 hours to dry.

The service technician arrived on time and did a very good job while he was at my home. He pointed out a couple of areas for my attention and he left leaving everything tidy. I use this service every year and I am always happy with the result..

The team was prompt and efficient. They explained how they would proceed and answered all questions. I appreciated that they took care to protect my home and furnishings from their shoes and equipment. My sofa (almost) looks like new again.

I’ve used Appleby Cleaning a couple times in the past and was generally happy with the results, but this latest experience was a letdown — definitely not the level of service I expected, especially for the price (nearly $600 for 3 very small rooms and 4 area rugs!).
In the past, Appleby sent out two guys who did the job pretty well. They moved small furniture like lamps, stools, nightstands, etc., without me even asking. They also put pads under all the furniture. This time, only one guy came — Jaime — and unfortunately, the difference in service was very noticeable.
After he finished, I saw that he had just cleaned around all the small furniture items instead of moving them. We're not talking heavy stuff — just a floor lamp, a clothes tree, a small seat, and nightstands. When I asked him to move them so he could clean underneath, he made me move them. I’m a senior and had to move everything myself. Not cool.
On top of that, he didn’t put protective pads under the furniture after cleaning — something they always did in the past. Again, I had to lift the furniture myself so he could slide pads underneath. At this point I was more frustrated than anything.
The carpets themselves were okay — fairly clean — but the area rugs still had visible cat hair. Shouldn’t that have been vacuumed up? Also, he didn’t have the right tools to clean under my platform bed. He cleaned maybe a foot around it on three sides and that was it.
When I called the new owner, Joe, to give some feedback, his response was basically, “I’ll talk to Jaime about it.” Not exactly the customer service I was hoping for. He eventually offered a future credit, but honestly, I don’t plan on using Appleby again. A $50 refund would have gone a long way in showing they care about their customers.
Apparently, Appleby’s residential carpet cleaning is under new ownership, and the original family no longer runs it. That might explain the change. The old crew was more gracious and attentive.
Bottom line: Appleby was not customer-oriented: It wouldn’t have been difficult for the young carpet cleaner to move a few small items and the owner could have been more gracious. And for the price, it just wasn’t worth it. I would give them 3 stars for cleanliness of the rugs, but only 2 for service.

Both gentlemen were respectful and professional. They communicated their time frame and arrived as expected .
The carpets are still drying , but look good so far . I have been using Appleby for years and have always been happy with the results .

My carpets look new. One room had a couple of stains that are now completely gone. The technician (Gio) was quick and thorough.

The technician had a very can-do attitude and did the best job possible with my carpet. The stairs seemed to take quite a while to dry.

We just did our second cleaning with Appleby. They were so friendly and professional. Our cleaner was able to come early and communicated everything with total clarity for me. He didn't try to upsell me, and actually removed an unnecessary cleaning to bring my bill way down. Our cat had peed in the guest room, which we didn't realize right away, and the room smells brand new now. Wasn't sure that was possible. Highly recommend!

Appleby always does a great job for us! Friendly, experienced technicians always do a thorough job as speedily as possible. They are the only company I call for carpet and upholstery cleaning.

Great team carefully cleaned and sealed all surfaces in my kitchen and bath, regrouted tile as needed. Looks as good as it did when we did remodel 10 years ago!

This shop is one of those rare operations that combines a wealth of experience and knowledge with an efficient, truly helpful approach to customers. Yes, their prices are on the hefty side, but from all indications you get what you pay for. And the owner (Sam Appleby) is perfectly willing to spend a lot of time offering advice and suggestions, even though, in our case, it was clear that I was going to handle most of the work myself. Anyone who knows their business and is willing to devote time to helping someone else, even if it means money out of their own pocket, deserves the job.

Had a nasty coffee stain on my carpet which wouldn't come out no matter my efforts. I wasn't too optimistic Appleby could get the stain out, but they did. The technician did a great job and was very nice as well.

Appleby did a fantastic job refinishing our old, beat-up hardwood floors. Jason is a master at bringing out the best in wood, and Sam and company went above and beyond helping us prep and reassemble. Everything went smoothly and on-schedule.
