Constraction reviews in San Marcos, California

I recently had a small buildout on a van that included a battery to power some of the electronics. Shortly after I picked it up from the people who did the (shoddy) work, I started having problems, with the electronics, including a battery monitor that wasn't working. I called Infinite RV & Marine, who were close to my office, and Dave invited me to come right over. I did, and his son Zack proceeded to drop what he was doing to trouble shoot the issue, ended up diagnosing it (it was complicated), and was able to resolve it within an hour. It was one of those experiences that remind you there are good people out there who genuinely want to provide great service. I can't recommend enough.

I cannot say enough good about the quality of work and the professionalism at Infinite Technologies. I had a Winegard dish installed on my RV. Zack was amazing throughout. I couldn't help but appreciate his attention to detail and his follow through to make sure I was a happy customer. I highly recommend this company.

I never write a review for something as big as what we had done until I have had time to experience the work and be sure it is done right. It is only fair to the folks reading the review. Let me tell you, Zach KNOWS HIS STUFF. We bought a very slightly used RV van, that had been custom built in Canada. We didn't fully understand how the electric worked. We set up an appointment and Zach took the time to understand our system, made diagrams with pictures and explained it all to us in detail, with photos and charts to assist after we left. In addition to the electric, we had him install Starlink. Our entire roof is filled with solar panels but Zach made it work perfectly. It is now a month and a half later and we understand our electric, we love our well functioning Starlink and there have been no leaks, in fact, you can't tell he had to run all kinds of wires to set the Starlink up and have the router/modems in the van. Top notch work! You may find someone cheaper but you will not find someone better. To top it off, he and his dad (and mom) are just the nicest people. This is exactly what you want, when someone is working on your home on wheels! Thanks Zach, when we come back we want that outlet installed in the cab of the van like you suggested.

Infinite RV & Marine are the BEST.
If you have a Victron system like I do, with Inverter, Lithium Batteries, Solar, Generator, Shore power all connected and talking to each other look no further than this team at Infinite RV & Marine. The entire staff are the friendliest people, welcoming to me and my family, and they are experts in this field. Zack the lead tech is certified in everything and it shows in his expertise and knowledge of how systems work. Thank you to the whole team. Fast service, great honest pricing, friendliest people to deal with. I highly recommend this place. -
These guys are great, they replaced my lead acid battery system with a Lithium system, on a 2018 Airstream Atlas.
This is a major upgrade on these Airstreams, multiple system components need to be changed so the system works correctly.
The install was flawless, I lost no storage space, they took the time to reorganize the utility closet components and battery drawer to fit the new system.
Additionally they replaced the entire solar system. Again super clean install.
They designed the system in-house to suite my needs. The system is flawless. Well done Infinity RV & Marine -
I want to share my experience with Infinite RV & Marine in San Marcos because they absolutely deserve recognition for their expertise and workmanship.
A couple of years ago, I first spoke with them about incorporating my EcoFlow system into my 2013 Roadtrek Versatile 170, a Class B RV, and they gave me a very thoughtful plan to integrate solar panels to trickle charge my batteries. At the time, I held off on moving forward. But after spending more time living in my van, I started to notice ongoing issues with my RV’s electrical system, particularly with my inverter and excessive AC draw.
I went back to Infinite RV & Marine recently, hoping to bypass my inverter entirely and use my EcoFlow as the main inverter/converter. After they thoroughly inspected my system, they realized that while this was technically possible, it would require far more extensive labor than was really practical or cost-effective at RV shop rates. Instead, they carefully walked me through an alternative plan: replacing my faulty inverter, upgrading my battery separator (which had stopped working properly), and installing a better battery—all while keeping my system as simple, functional, and efficient as possible.
The cost was not cheap (RV parts and labor rarely are), but the investment was absolutely worth it. Since the repairs, my system is running significantly better. My EcoFlow Delta generator and solar panels now work beautifully with my RV setup, and the electrical draw is minimal compared to before. Everything is functioning smoothly, and I feel so much more confident in my system's reliability now.
What I especially appreciated was how open and collaborative the team was throughout the process. As someone who has spent the past few years learning about my RV’s electrical system, I wanted to stay involved in the conversations and fully understand the changes being made. The team at Infinite RV & Marine respected that and took the time to explain every step, answer my questions, and help me make informed decisions.
In a field where it can sometimes feel intimidating to work with shops that aren’t transparent or communicative, Infinite RV & Marine stood out for their honesty, skill, and professionalism. I’m grateful for their work and highly recommend them to anyone needing RV electrical work or repairs done right. -
I had an awful, awful experience at Infinite RV and Marine. This is a father and son business. The father develops the plans and the son does the work (son is the owner) The father developed the plan for my RV but did not communicate the plan to the son before I arrived to have the work done. Very professional NOT!! The son who was doing the work did not know what the plan was for my RV. This place is all about the $$$ at the tune of approx. $225 an hour. I do not have any issues paying top dollar if the work and customer service is top notch. This was NOT the case.
The primary reason I went to Infinite RV was to have the Satellite dish repaired on my RV. That never happened. They did not have the part needed to repair it. So I would have to come back again. That would be my third trip to Infinite RV. So instead the father (planner) who has good persuasive skills talked me in to a new back up camera they just happened to have in their warehouse. He said it was a very expensive backup camera. NOT!! No integrity. $139 @ Walmart...$69 on ebay. The son (owner/does the work) said it would take all day to install the system. He did not mention he would disappear for an 1 1/2 to have lunch and supposedly get a part while I was waiting. This is truly a day I will never forget. I hope they don't treat all women like they treated me. Unbelievable!! They offered no apologies during the day but the father provided all kinds of excuses. The last thing I will mention is the 50% deposit they required to the tune of $500 for me. It is a good faith deposit as well as for the purpose of purchasing any equipment and materials needed to complete the job successfully. I was going on good faith that the job would be completed successfully and it was not!!! Nor was I treated with respect. The one doing the work (son-owner) seemed pissed off all day.
I hope my review convinces someone to go elsewhere to have work done on your RV. Below is a picture of the EXPENSIVE backup camera Infinite RV installed in my RV. Notice the lines going across the screen. When I called Infinite RV to tell them about the lines going across the backup camera and sent them some pictures...there response was it could be a loose connection because RVs shake a lot. What? My thought poor installation. -
Very knowledgeable about solar, batteries, charge controllers, electrical systems, video gear, etc.
I put solar on my roof last summer with a very visible YUMA,AZ installer. After I was on the road I found numerous errors from the installers, such as incorrect wire sizes , incorrect AC wiring polarity, incorrect charge controller sizing etc.
I selected Infinite RV to install new LiPos and correct the install errors after seaking with David. They identified all the installer errors and RECOMMENDED APPROPRIATE SETUP FIXES that corrected everything, and then installed the new EcoWorthy LiPos.
Their work is very good IMO and WAY better than the original, high-volume installers who weren't any less expensive, and I had to pay to repair their work.
Proper component fixtures, wire gauges and proper system programming. (The original installers screwed that up too.)
Don't waste time or money with other vendors. These guys know what they are doing and do it well.
Thank you Dave, Zachary, and Aidan for getting me in and out on schedule :)! -
I do not know where to start. We are full timers on the road and have had nagging electrical issues for the past year. Brought our Victron powered rig to several "certified" experts but within a week or two either same issues would start to pop up or new ones introduced. The solution: Infinite RV & Marine. The wizard of all things electrical: Zac. Not only was Zac able to step back and systematically put some fresh eyes and testing on the system to root cause but the company was EXTREMELY accommodating. Had some extra space to store a few things from our garage, allowed a plugin for overnightinh (this to further the analysis of the root cause of the issues), but generally just a sold engineer/mechanic. Extremely knowledable. We are several weeks post-fix and the system has never been running smoother (6 years in!). Thank you Zac and crew for everything! You put this nagging issue behind us. Highly recommend!!!!

Zack was amazing at analyzing our system and tracking down a long-standing electrical issue we’d been dealing with for months. He and his team took the time to thoroughly evaluate every part of our Victron system and, just as importantly, clearly explain what was going on at each step. Their knowledge, patience, and attention to detail were outstanding. I truly can’t say enough good things about Infinite Energy and Marine — their skill and expertise are top-notch. Highly recommend.

A mishap required us to replace the original flexible 100 Watt solar rooftop panel installed during the manufacture of our six-year-old Class C motorhome.
As we searched for an established and reputable RV solar firm, a friend recommend Infinite RV & Marine in San Marcos.
My initial phone call was answered by office manager Daniela, who listened intently to my questions, and quickly put me at ease. Following the call, she worked closely with the firm's founder and technical maestro David - who reached out to discuss technical aspects and options, and we soon had a detailed and easily understood proposal in hand to add a pair of 200 Watt rigid solar panels to the roof, as well as the subsystems to make them fully operational and beneficial to our current and anticipated needs.
The day of our appointment, we arrived to meet the rest of the team, including David's son Zack, who runs the day-to-day operations of the business, providing hands-on leadership to a small crew of installers, to assure everything is up to his family standards. As Zack later said: "I treat every RV as if it was my own".
With a handful of restaurants, a multi-plex theater and brewpub a short walk away, I planned on spending a few hours nearby as the work was performed, and pleasantly surprised to receive an early call that the work was not only complete, but that my cost would be less than half of the estimate.
On further inspection and research during the installation, Zack determined my existing control hardware and other systems would be able to easily handle the new panels, and there was no need to install the hundreds of dollars of additional new equipment they had understandably ordered and prepared for the install. Though he could have easily installed that new equipment for an extra profit, and easily explained it away to a know-nothing like me, he didn't - - and that meant a lot.
Zack, David, Daniela and the team at Infinite RV & Marine have our utmost respect and admiration. We could not be happier with the work they performed. When it comes time to expertly install complex solar and other specialized electrical systems in an RV, they will most assuredly be the first ones we turn to. -
The team at Infinite RV & Marine just performed a life changing feat on my Ford Transit! They installed a 12v minisplit A/C on my van so I can travel with my dog year round instead of only 3-4 months. The job was challenging because my roof didn’t have enough free space for the condenser so they installed it on the back door and did a beautiful job! They also upgraded my van’s power system (larger battery bank, all new wiring ( very neat in a tiny cabinet), new dc/dc charger, converter, solar controller) and installed the shore power. I couldn’t be happier with their work, timeliness, customer service. Will be back for other upgrades. Highly recommend 😍!

This is a Father & Son Small Business that exemplifies a true Made in America One Stop Shop for all your Solar~Battery~Connectivity & Entertainment needs. Zack and Dave listened to all of our needs and concerns and put together a comprehensive plan and estimate to power up our Thor Compass RV with all of the essentials we needed. There was no pressure to close any deals, we communicated via text, phone and email and once we were ready to get started they conveniently put us on the schedule and the Job was then completed a day early. We received updates along the way, and when we picked up the RV Zack spent an hour getting us comfortable with all of the new technology we were working with. Thanks for a Job well done!

Called emergency service and they responded quickly and professionally. They fixed the faulty wiring, explained the root cause, and left no mess behind.

I did a master bathroom remodel. Toni, Fady, and Danny did the electric installation for me. They did an amazing job. Pleasant, professional, and meticulous. They installed a towel warmer, ceiling lights, ceiling ventilation fan, pendant lights, and LED lighted cabinets. The installation is perfect, and the price very reasonable. The job was done promptly and as promised. I highly recommend them for any electric repair or installation.

I have dealt with the crew here and they are very professional and kind. They offer great service at great prices.

I am a small business owner myself and I don't like posting negative reviews without an opportunity for redemption, but Robeck Electrical Maintenance earned this negative review. I inherited Robeck as a vendor when I recently purchased a commercial property. I loved that they were locally owned and operated and I hadn't heard anything negative about the company so I kept them on as vendor to service the lighting. They are suppose to come out on a monthly basis to check the lighting to make sure all lights are operating, and adjust the timer for daylight savings. Two months into service (about November of 2020), I requested a tech to come out and give me a quote to upgrade our parking lot lights from bulbs to LED's and install a few other lights. While the tech was there I noticed there were numerous lights not working properly, which they are suppose to be monitoring monthly. When I asked the tech when they last sent a tech out he kind just brushed it off. When I asked how could your company missed numerous outages, he kinda just brushed it off. Basically for $40 per month we got absolutely nothing. When I say nothing I literally mean nothing; I have yet to get the quote from when the tech came out in November and it is now the end of January, and I have called their office multiple times and left messages to speak with the owner or anyone really, and have yet to hear from a single person from this company. I highly suggest going elsewhere for any electrical needs.
