The entire crew and of coures, especially the owner, Devin is an outstandingly professional to do business with as well as pleasant caring man. Bravo! Excellent to work with in every way. We'd sincerely put him and the staff on the top of our positive contractors list. Ha wish they could do many other services.

Three weeks ago, I met a young man named Devin Carpinelli, the owner and operator of Mini Split Express. I was looking for somebody to replace a broken mini split which had been installed 11 years ago by a less than honorable operator. In addition, I had another home that needed cooling in the living room, dining room and kitchen where the sun would beat on the south facing windows and make these rooms very warm in the afternoon. I found Mini Split Express on Nextdoor, an app for neighborhood referrals. I put my phone number into their website and the next day Devin called me, amazing! We made an appointment for the following day to evaluate both my situations. I instantly liked his soft-spoken, matter-of-fact, non-salesy explanation of what needed to be done to achieve my cooling needs. It was easy to like him because of his warm, non-threatening manner. He spent a great deal of time explaining what size units would be best for my situation, where the line sets would go and what the electrician would need to install before he arrived. He provided a quote quickly through email and answered all my questions, of which there were many. He put me on the schedule for two weeks out and both units were installed, a 24,000 BTU unit in the living room and a 9,000 BTU unit in the ADU. Both mini splits had a 10 year warranty on parts and compressor and a seven year warranty on labor provided he did the yearly maintenance. I received other bids and they were more than double the price with a lesser five-year warranty with one year labor. Both of these units were installed by Devin and his partner Zach. Each day they arrived at 8 AM and left by noon. Devin also gave me a discount for green cash. I inadvertently gave him too much cash and he returned the difference. Who does that? Both of these units are quiet and the blower heads in the home are very attractive. They are run by Wi-Fi and remote control which he also installed on the walls. I was shocked that these mini splits were so affordable. I never thought that I would see prices this good with such exemplary service and excellent warranty. The price of a mini split air conditioning unit to cool my space is 1/6 the price of central air conditioning system. I did not have to replace any ductwork or replace my furnace to cool my home. Devin Carpinelli has proven to be trustworthy, a hard-working, and honest businessman, whom I am delighted to know. I will have him inspect and clean my units yearly to make sure they remain in tiptop shape. Climate change is not going away, and now I don’t have to worry about being hot or cold in my home any longer.

Calvin and his team were outstanding—professional, courteous, and efficient. They arrived right on schedule and completed the installation flawlessly in just a few hours. The process was smooth from start to finish, and I’m thrilled with my two new units. I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

I highly recommend Mini Split Express. My three unit installation had some unique obstacles that Devin and Zack handled with ease. Their attention to detail was outstanding. In addition, during the installation, Devin mentioned that he also cleans mini split systems. Impressed with the quality of his installation I hired him to clean the three units in our home. As the photos reveal there is a lot more to cleaning the units than simply cleaning the filters.

My son found Mini Split Express while we were on the 805 freeway; he saw their van and said, “why don’t we call them? It looks like they specifically work with mini splits.” After a quick Google and Yelp search, I contacted them to see if they could be of help to us. Our system was a mess: leaks, broken seals, lack of cooling, dirty, your basic functional disaster situation at only four years old.

Devin and team came out to assess and from that, it was clear we had chosen the right people. Very professional, wonderful service, and honest assessment. They explained everything to me, provided photos, and gave us our options to proceed. We knew this wouldn’t be a cheap fix, but their quote was still more reasonable than what we thought it would be. They were able to fit in such a large job the next week, so they came out and easily worked around our three kids and two dogs.

Our system is so clean (it was disgusting before, mold, dirt, everything), hoses are repaired, seals are sealed, Freon has been Freon-ed ( this is the correct term in my mind), and everything is as it should be. Air blows clean and COLD. We are able to set our units 10-15° warmer than we did in the past; it works too well now! And with fall and winter coming, we feel more comfortable now with our hoses and seals on our roof and trust that no rainwater will leak in, as it had before.

We are so grateful for this company’s care for our challenging home, and we will have them come out annually for cleaning and maintenance. Thank you guys again, so much!

Great crew. Great first interaction with this company and lead representative came out on a Sunday to explain the differences on installs. I own a service company and this company exceeded my expectations on what a company should provide before, during and after installation. I had a copper pipe leaking in my kitchen wall for several weeks before seeing any signs of it. Servpro came out and found mold behind the cabinets, walls and floor. They enclosed the entire area from floor to ceiling before removing the damaged materials and ran a dehumidifier for several days. They came out every day to check the equipment and the moisture levels and we're always on time and extremely helpful and polite.
