You know those unforeseen things that people tell you, you should save up for? You know, emergencies. Things you never really think are going to happen? Wellllll… It finally happened! So, yesterday was my day off which means lots of errands and house cleaning. I folded laundry, vacuumed, did dishes, loaded and started the dishwasher. I headed out to the grocery store and a few other stops before I got back home. Got home and realized our dishwasher had leaked all over the kitchen and into the dining and family room. We have expensive rugs in both the dining and family room which were soaked. Cabinets were already soaking up the water that sat atop our tile on the kitchen floor. I immediately called our insurance agent who recommended we call Servpro of Carlsbad. They came out immediately, explained the entire process to me, contacted my insurance company, extracted water, etc. I know nothing about insurance or water damage—as I think most people don’t--which is why I am so grateful for everyone’s help in getting me through this irritating and untimely matter. It’s not over yet but it’s looking like my rugs can and will be saved (my mom will be happy about that…they were a gift from her!). Of course, no one wants something like this to happen… but if it does, you definitely want to feel like you have people on your side—and that’s Servpro of Carlsbad! I highly recommend their services.

Had a leak in an upstairs pipe of my business that put water into the ceiling and walls of the downstairs bathroom. Insurance recommended these guys and it's no wonder why. Were on site checking the whole place out in 20 minutes, and had a plan and equipment drying the bathroom in an hour. I was able to keep customers happy and the whole ordeal was over fast. Thanks guys!

Estimated 5-7 day job took over 6 weeks with little explanation. Ending bill was more than 3x the original quote. Workers didn't show up when expected, citing several different reasons. Each individual reason was fine, but after the first 5 late or missed days. Failed the first mold inspection stating 'if we had used our testing service we would have passed'. Almost no incoming communication. I had to call over and over to get status and understand what was happening. One of the owners was difficult to deal with and very rude several times during this process. At the end she demanded payment no fewer than 4 times during a 9am Saturday call. I had received the bill less than 30 days prior and hadn't finished reviewing the charges (again 3x what the original quote was). She threatened me with a lien on my house before breakfast.

In summary: failed inspection, work took longer for reasons I had to pull out of them, attendance was inconsistent and ownership is unpleasant.

Would NOT recommend.

Outstanding! We had a leak in the roof that damaged a large portion of ceiling drywall on a 20’ vaulted ceiling that required scaffolding and demo. Hugo and his crew isolated the area meticulously with plastic barriers. Zero dust in living room! Highly recommend ServPro!

The SERVPRO reps were great. Kept us informed with the work and were very polite and excellent attitude. They also took great care of our home.
