Had a problem with my 10 year old Sunpower solar panel system. Justin was quickly able to explain to me how to fix myself. Wasn’t his system, wasn’t even a customer yet, but he helped. Trustworthy and honest.

Not only was Justin and his crew professional and extremely hard workers in replacing my roof, I was informed daily, either through emails and/or photos, of the work in progress. In addition to providing me with a solid and up-to-date roof, Justin advised and assisted me through the process of recovering monetary retribution of a former roofer that did a bad replacement roofing job on my home 3 years ago. With Justin's help, I was able to recover the amount that I paid for a bad roofing job from the former roofer. Without his assistance, I would have lost thousands of dollars for a lousy roofing job. Justin's experience, knowledge and integrity is invaluable.

I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of this company not once but twice! I made a ton of calls when I found out that I had a roof problem, and Justin with RC Energy Solutions, was the only one that took the time to hear me out and to explain what steps could be taken to fix the problems. Justin was prompt in returning calls/emails, and made sure that there was someone at my house to address all my issues in a timely manner (on two different occasions). Justin & his crew did a great job with our solar installation. Had a minor hiccup with the wrong water heater but besides that we're seeing our energy costs be reduced every month. Justin and his team did an awesome job. I got a number of bids and decided to go with Justin because his company provided the overall best solution for our needs at a very competitive price. Originally was just looking to get solar but knowing that my AC and furnace were old and inefficient discussed that concern with Justin. Our home also had very poor insulation so in the end we did our solar, new AC and furnace as well as additional insulation in our attic. I recently had solar panels installed by RC Energy Solutions, a fantastic local company, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Despite being a small business, they took on a job that Tesla and several other large installers had turned down. The owner, Justin, went out of his way throughout the process, including reaching out to me on weekends to ensure everything was on track.

One of the biggest highlights was their ability to lock me in with SDGE for the NEM 2 program literally a day before the deadline. This kind of dedication and promptness is hard to find. While their price was slightly higher than Tesla's, they offered a superior system with individual per panel inverters instead of a single inverter, which is a notable advantage in the long run.

The installation team was just as top-notch. They completed the entire setup in a single day with exceptional care and precision. Additionally, they honored my request to maximize the tilt of the system, which required a follow-up visit after the initial installation. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of their service.

Justin and his team have been professional, responsive, honest, and helpful throughout the entire process. We used RC Energy for completely re-roofing our house. This included removing and re-installing the solar panels that they had previously installed years ago with a previous home-owner.

We received multiple quotes prior to going with RC and their prices were competitive. Scheduling was predictable and accurate - as was the estimated time of completion for the project.

We had some challenges re-roofing our very old home that resulted in a some "uh-oh" moments once RC removed the existing roof. The previous owners had mickey-moused the roof job previously and it needed to be redone the correct way. This resulted in a re-quote of the job for additional work; Justin was transparent throughout and made sure we understood the process and what was happening. We appreciated his team keeping their workspace clean and organized at the end of each day.

At the time, we chose not to replace our existing chimney cap that was noted to have some issues during our home inspection. However, with the recent rain we noticed water damage in our ceiling. Justin and his team have been very helpful in covering / tarping the areas, running water tests, and using strategic problem solving to isolate the issue and propose fixes. They have even helped us to re-caulk areas contributing to the issue to help ensure it does not get any worse prior to a proper long-term fix. Justin is always following up with us and helping answer our questions.

If you need a roof or solar RC Energy is your solution. A new roof or set of solar panels is a big investment and can be a big headache if not done right. Three of my neighbors went with solar city and all three have leaks in their roofs. Justin's team will do the job the right way and not cut corners. If you get a cheaper quote chances are you will get what you pay for. If you need a roof or solar and want the job done the right way don't waste time with anyone else just give Justin a call, you will not be disappointed.

We finished a big project with Justin from RC Energy in Spring 2021 and the entire business experience was stellar! Our single family home in Carlsbad was in need of a new roof and we decided it was time to get modern with solar and some window & door replacements. Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. We knew this was going to be a big project and Justin explained the entire process. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional. Nice windows and doors from Amerimax combined with the new roof tiles and fascia has really given our home a modernized curb appeal and the new skylights have changed the entire feel of our dark living room. Solar went live in May/June and boy is it nice to see our bills reduced next to nothing, especially with our EV charging and AC unit.

Justin's communication was great, keeping us updated in advance of each major step in the project. Total project work time was 2/3 weeks and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend RC Energy Solutions for your solar and home energy improvement needs! Thanks again.

RC did an incredible job replacing the paper under our roofing tiles. The guys got here each morning on time and worked throughout the day. They were neat and professional and made certain that our yard was cleaned and swept each night before they left. Ivan and his team completed the job in a week just as Justin had estimated. RC also did a great job removing and replacing our solar panels with minimal downtime for us. We couldn't be more pleased and offer our highest recommendation for Justin and his company.

RC Energy installed Solar for us in 2018. It has easily paid for itself. So nice to enjoy air conditioning in the summer when we need it without worrying about a huge bill! We recently had our roof replaced along with new rain gutters and our attic cleaned and disinfected with new insulation. From our first meeting with Justin to the final inspection RC Energy Solutions exceeded all of our expectations.

Looks like they do great work. And I am sure they are good people. But I am uneasy about a company calling themselves a roofing or solar company when they don't have a license to do either and must sub-contract or do the work illegally.

Reply to owner's message: What a great, though-out response. So long as you are up front with people and let them know you subcontract all the work and don't have your own employees, sounds find. Just hard to ensure that subs always have the right insurance to protect us for damages and injury. Have you ever though of rebranding as a consultant since you dont (cant) actually do the work?

We got many quotes for new roofing and solar. Justin stood out from the rest with his knowledge and the quality products he uses. For the roofing we were very impressed with his crew.
