These guys are amazing!!! Super communicative, polite, and very efficient. The pricing was very fair and it was all detailed in my estimate. They were always willing to take my calls and explain items and concerns of mine in detail. I would 100% use them again.

Great service and great job. Our electricity went out and was acting funky. Kip came by and figured out that a circuit breaker was wired incorrectly and also spoke and worked with PG&E, which helped them find a faulty (corroded) conductor, which they (PG&E) replaced. Also, their intake people (Craig & Paul) were friendly and solicitous. Highly recommended!

Chris, Rey and Paul spent a total of about 4 days at my home replacing an old breaker box and installing new low-voltage lights outdoors. All were friendly, prompt, knowledgeable and professional. I’m very happy with the work they did and will call on Divine again in the future.

Incompetent and overpriced. I called Divine to replace an old 100-amp breaker on my sub panel that keeps tripping. I am an electrical engineer and already diagnosed the problem. They charged me $1008.16 to diagnose the problem, replace the breaker and install 10 light bulbs in the ceiling fixtures. But, they didn't actually replace the breaker. So, it keeps tripping. And, they didn't actually diagnose the problem, or it would be fixed. And, they didn't tell how much they were going to charge me before they started so I didn't approve the charges. And, I have contacted them four times and they are not returning my call so I am writing a review.

Divine are the kind of electricians our parents spoke about with a sparkle in their eye-- honest, kind, thorough, and transparent. We worked with Chris on an EV charger and safety upgrade. It was evident he cared about the quality of his work and getting us in a safe spot moving forward. Chris never took the quick or easy way out, always going the extra mile to ensure we were in the best spot.

After having worked with multiple other electricians in the Bay Area, I can confidently say Divine is among the best. The value is unmatched as well.

While I'm sure everyone is excellent, request Chris if you can. His explanations of how everything worked, tradeoffs, and consistent contact were second to none.

My experiences with Divine, both plumbing and electrical, have been excellent. They are on time and efficient.

For the record, I had never used Devine Electric before today, but I’m glad I did. I called them at 8:35 AM and was told they could have someone out between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. At 9:15 AM, I received a call from Harris Schaffer letting me know he was on his way.

Harris arrived promptly, diagnosed the electrical issue, and provided a clear solution. He worked diligently and resolved everything the same day. Harris is an outstanding representative of Devine Electric, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Devine Electric and Harris Schaffer for any electrical needs.

It was not inexpensive, but I'm confident the job was done right and will outlast me. The dispatcher, Lena, is always responsive and got a plumber (Gerald, aka JJ) out to me the day after I called. JJ is knowledgeable, competent, thorough and stubborn! He kept at a stuck old fixture until he got the job done. And to top it all off, he's just a generally nice guy.

Having already paid for a call out, their follow-up is the worst I’ve seen from any service provider. Despite repeated reminders and messages, they still cannot be bothered to contact me about completing a job. What a travesty.
Suggest you find someone else.

Chris did a fantastic job replacing two canisters in our living room. Chris explained in detail our options and helped us come to a decision without pressuring us. Chris is very professional, thoughtful, knowledgeable and super nice. We love the new lighting and will be replacing all of the old canisters in the near future. So happy!!!

I'm leaving my original electric review below-- I still truly stand by their excellence in electric. But after a horrific experience, I need to update my review overall. Plumbing has been an absolute disaster.

Divine came out to address a backing up sink and toilet, assuring us that it was the system that moved waste up to the street level that was broken. We paid 4k to have it fixed.

Within two weeks, more issues arose. This seemed extremely odd, and we asked them to be certain that the issues were not connected. They swore up right and center they were not, and left. Within 24 hours, raw sewage was backing up into the washing machine.

We called Divine, and they refused to come out, saying it was not an emergency. We were told to wait 5 days-- 5 days with raw sewage backing up into the machine with every flush. There was no concern, no empathy, and zero support.

We had to call another emergency plumber who was able to identify the issue with the sewer lateral (combining the two issues above, exactly as we had expected and asked about).

Divine now won't even call us back to discuss what happened. Please, avoid them at all costs for plumbing.

My original, very positive review of their electric remains below because I still stand by those services.

It's impossible to overstate the expertise, kindness, and attention to detail of the team at Divine Electric. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Chris on our electric.

While installing a car charger, he noticed a significant safety issue that two other electricians had missed. With a newborn on the way, this was no small risk. Chris worked with us and PGE to secure the best option to move forward that was also in our budget. He truly went above and beyond, working every option to get us back to safety. Throughout, he was kind, quick to respond, and detail oriented. We've never felt so safe or cared for.

I cannot recommend Chris and the Divine team enough.

Our complex recommended them to replace our electric panels across our condo complex. They were super nice, met with the project manager and felt like I was in good hands. He also mentioned that they were happy to do follow up work, and his guys could even come by and check a few other electrical issues I was having at the time. Quoted $3500 to move our panel form inside the closet to the outside of that closet wall. Expensive, but did a good job. Then I called back to get the guys to follow up on the issue I mentioned before, and my garbage disposal was jammed, so they sent out a plumber and electrician. The electrician charged me $300 to resplice my oven wire - literally retwist them together and put the cap back on as the connection was loose. Nothing was replaced for that bill. The plumber charged me $1700 to replace my garbage disposal. The disposal itself was $350 online, and he added an electrical plug in my sink, which was just taking the existing cord and wiring it on to a box that was then screwed onto the wall. I called Divine and said it was just a lot more than I was expecting, and sure enough the overcharged me. He wasn't even really apologetic, but offered to take off $400 total, which is still super expensive for what I got done (maybe 2 hours of work). He told me they are a luxury service. I felt so douped given what I was told when they were trying to get my business for the electrical panel. Yes they do good work, but goodness you will pay 2-4X what it should cost. Just be aware and check your receipts, because they did not give me the discount they were supposed to for being a repeat, AND overcharged me.

Good work doesn't just mean a good technical job; it means being trustworthy and making your clients feel respected. Unfortunately I don't feel the second part so I'll take my business elsewhere.

Terrible experience. Needed a new hot water heater for ADU. Divine was my top choice initially but regret this immensely. After they came down on their initial quote by 20% (they will over estimate cost to you), they scheduled the install WITHOUT consulting or speaking with me. Took multiple calls to reschedule. THEN during the install they did a terrible job which resulted in a GAS LEAK. I had to call PG&E who saved the day. PG&E technician showed up and said he had never seen a worse gas line install job, luckily the nice PG&E gentleman fixed the botched install. On top of all of this, Divine recently instituted an "AI Assistant" that fields your calls which means you can't speak to an actual person unless you talk to the useless AI assistant for 5 minutes - total waste of time. Jake at Divine was nice but ultimately I would NEVER use them again. Steer clear.

Divine's electrician Harris was professional and polite. He did a first-rate job hardwiring our EV charger quickly and it works great. We will definitely use Divine again and request Harris for our electrical needs.

Felix, troubleshot a circuit that had a difficult fault. He did a great job and the circuit is operating properly now. Great job. I would not hesitate to call Devine in the future.

Harris swapped out a new Tesla wall charger for me. He was a consummate professional and completed the work in short order. Thanks Harris!

The Devine team was awesome. Jeffery and Patrick were friendly, courteous, clean, and very efficient. I will definitely hire Divine again when I have electrical or plumbing needs.
