Rowan showed up on short notice, found the problem with my radiant heat floor, and saved the day. A part was needed for my airbnb system and he found the last part available in the SF and got the system running beautifully (also with a new thermostat) on short notice. Thank you Rowan and Marin Mechanical!

This was my third time working with Marin Mechanical and they did a fantastic job. This time they installed a new Navien boiler in a tight space in my condo (pictured) and now everything is working flawlessly. Jarret Dunbar from MM helped me assess the system I needed and gave me a fair quote for parts and labor. Rowan and Junior arrived promptly (the next day!) and did the work. They did a great job, they were professional, were very pleasant to work with, worked hard, and got the job done on time. As a result, I can once again recommend Marin Mechanical without qualification.

Reliable and knowledgeable, they've helped us a couple times to diagnose if we had a plumbing vs. a septic issue.

I can honestly say, that without a second thought, this company is a vital resource for the community at large. While some people think to call a plumber, they don't realize that plumbers have a ham-fisted approach to finding a leak. They want tear open your home just to "visually confirm" the leak location. American Leak Detection not only finds the leak without wrecking the place up, but does repairs as well.

I've seen several negative reviews, including the one that's on Google here, and they are all unfounded, and written by spoiled children. If you read the words verbatim, you can hear it.

I've had conversations with the people at American Leak Detection, and it does not sounds like them at all. Maybe she was having a bad day or a bad series of days, but these are good people providing a good service.

Any time I have a leak, I will always call American Leak Detection. I suggest you do the same.

The way I was handled by American Leak Detection in San Rafael is absolutely shocking. I CANNOT believe that a company that treats their customers the way I was treated is even in business.

After charging me an exuberant $445 for a 30 minute pool leak consultation, the service person called and told me that he successfully found the link and gave me an estimate for them to repair it. While still on the phone, I agreed to pay their estimate and the service person agreed, on behalf of American Leak Detection, to repair my pool.

A few days later, American Leak Detection sent me the estimate in written form. After briefly looking over the estimate, I called in asking for clarification on the rather ambiguous wording they used in the description of what my estimate covered.

They told me that they would do the pipe repair, but would not be able to finish the outside of the pool wall, because they wouldn't be able to match the paint. I agreed to them just fixing the pipe (for the small price of $2,300...), and asked for an email explaining exactly what the woman told me over the phone.

What I got instead was an email saying "I regret to inform you that we are not the company for you" due to "preexisting expectations." WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?? Especially after cashing my $445 check to look at a leaking pipe and diagnose that it was in fact leaking. But you know what, it's not even the money that upsets me most, it's the principle. It's the blatant disregard and unprofessionalism with which I was treated that appalls me.

I highly recommend NEVER doing business with American Leak Detection in San Rafael, unless you're willing to pay $445 in exchange for them backing out of a verbal contract, ignoring your calls and emails, and your leak still leaking.

I live in a rural area with a lot of pvc piping and they break! Fortunately, American Leak Detection is a call away. The Tech came out and solved a big problem for me! Not the first time. Will call them again if needed! Thank you, ALD!
