Great work and fast booking. I just was expecting $100/hr labor as quoted, but was surprised at the invoice. It was unclear they were charging $100 per hour for two people and included driving time for each. I was expecting 1.25 hours for labor but was charged for 5hrs. They did reduce to $80/hr.

Jamar is a 10!... installation crew was terrific; install quote VERY reasonable. Quality company. Can't recommend them enough!!

We were pleased with everyone we dealt with. Mike, Clay (and his installation crew) and Brandy were all very professional and helpful. The only concern we have is whether we put enough panels on. We’re only generating half the electricity we are using each day.

Today I had a technician come out to assist with a new build and program the timer for my exterior lights. I received a text message link to do a review and it unfortunately didn’t allow me to properly give a review (stars) I clicked on one and it instantly locked it in. I hope they are able to not have that review on here but if it is allowed I wanted to update to a 5 star review.

The technician who came out was awesome. He took the time to explain the process and walk me through it. My issue is with the timer itself which has nothing to do with this company. So based on my experience with the company they def deserve a 5 star.

It's been one full year since Jamar installed solar for my home and it has proven to be a wise decision. Our electric bills have vanished. As for the actual installation, it was done on time and per the bid.

I had a problem with my microwave and needed to have it fixed asap. Called Jamar office and they connected me to a technician, Phil. We set a time and he was on my door even before schedule. It turned out it was not a major issue (but I want a more professional approach when it comes to electricals).Didn't take long for me to learn vital and important measures from Phil. He was too willing to help and that I appreciated much!

Our project with JAMAR was for removal and re-installation of our solar system, which was installed by another firm, for the purposes of refurbishing the roof of our home. I decided on JAMAR because the original firm wanted at least twice what JAMAR quoted for this process, and as it turned out, did not do a correct installation in the first place as pointed out by Rick Follet of JAMAR. Rick patiently explained what was wrong with the original installation and outlined what was needed to correct the deficiencies. This was especially important as their were violations to existing construction code. There was more than one issue caused by the other firms working on our "Home Makeover", but Rick and his crew patiently worked around them. Rick's flexibility and knowledge of the industry was of great comfort to us and was a bright spot in an otherwise chaotic process. I very much recommend Rick and his team at JAMAR, who performed rapidly and timely in the execution of our project.

We already gotten quotes from four different companies (two possibles, two obvious no-go's) when a neighbor said we MUST talk to Vince at Jamar Power before signing with anyone else. This was back in 2015; our system went online in July of 2015.

We were immediately impressed with Jamar: Vince outlined what he thought we needed, answered all our questions and concerns thoroughly and with great patience. We liked that Jamar has a long history in the electrical business and does not subcontract out the work, like many do. We're old enough to have seen a few economic cycles, and it seems likely that many of today's solar companies will disappear after 2016. Jamar has been in the electrical business for many years, and is likely to continue for many more.

I'm a geek, and I found the technical stuff fascinating. The SolarEdge system has the advantages of both string and microinverter systems, at reasonable cost, with the MPPT work being done on the roof by intelligent power optimizers, which are very efficient (see Wikipedia on buck-boost converters for more). The optimizers feed DC power to a string inverter, keeping all the more fragile components off the roof in a more sheltered environment. SolarEdge looks to be a well-run, well-capitalized company that is likely to be in business for many years.

We went with 24 LG305 panels with SolarEdge power optimizers and SE7600 inverter, a 7.32 kW system adequate to handle our pool and a/c needs. Panel-level monitoring is provided, so you can show off at lunchtime with your cellphone.

Installation dovetailed perfectly with our roofer (Mark Anthony Construction and Roofing, also a class act that I highly recommend), so the whole project, roof and solar, was all done in 8 days!

Everything went perfectly! Because our breaker box was maxxed out, Jamar installed an extra electrical sub-panel at no extra cost. Everything was done quickly, neatly, no muss, no fuss, and no mess. They explained every component of the system and how to operate it.

Everything looked great when they finished, and of course it passed inspection. We were approved and making power two weeks from when they had started work, and less than six weeks after signing a contract, in time to turn the summer sun into money, and be grandfathered into net metering.

It's been almost three years since Jamar installed our solar system, and it all works perfectly. Our electric bills are essentially zero!

I just can't say enough about how smoothly and perfectly everything went! We're usually a little apprehensive about home projects, but this could not have gone better!
Jamar Power is an excellent company and I would recommend them to anyone!

When I first looked for an electrician and solar company (for repairs to my existing unit) I had no idea where to turn. Numerous companies were listed so I did what everybody should do, check the San Diego Better Business Bureau. Jamar Power Systems was rated very highly. I used them on an extensive underground electrical repair job and they were outstanding. I have used them twice since when I developed problems with my solar power system. Once again they were outstanding. Their electrician (Rob) was sent out to my property each time. That made it easier since he was familiar with my entire system.
