Jamar Power Systems did not disappoint with our Solar project. From design, to financing, to installation, we were extremely pleased with Jamar. The whole experience with Jamar was exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering Solar Power as a means to reduce their energy bills and improve their Green contribution to Mother Earth.

We have nothing but good things to say about Jamar Power Systems. They were so easy to work with - from our original installation in 10/2011 to our recent upgrade in 7/2019 - Phil, Rick and Clay were there for us and punctual, whether it was by phone, email or in-person. Great service throughout these 9 years!!

Jamar Power Systems is listed on the Tesla website as recommended electricians in my area. I called to get a quote to install a power drop in my garage for the EV I'm getting. Rob the electrician came out and didn't seem to know what he was doing. Kept asking me how much power I needed. I told him what I'm getting and he still didn't know. So I googled and told him. That should have been my first red flag.
He said the quote would arrive within 2 days. 11 days later I had still not received it. Second red flag.
I called the office multiple times, and now one seemed too concerned about the fact that Rob hadn't delivered the promised estimate. Third red flag. Finally, after I got noticeably upset, someone called him and told him to stop work and send my quote. I got it that day, but still don't know what took 11 days. It was a basic handwritten quote a couple of sentences with nothing more than what we discussed and a price that was at least $1500 above the other quotes I'd received.
Needless to say, I will not be using this electrician and will be contacting Tesla to recommend removing Jamar Power Systems from the list of recommended electricians.

The guys did an excellent job removing and reinstalling the panels when we had the house reroofed. They even went the extra mile to clean and reuse the clamps. This saved us some money and was appreciated more than they know. I really like the "can do" attitude everyone at Jamar has in dealing with the clients. Thanks so very much for all your help.

I couldn't be happier! Jamar solved a problem I had been attempting to solve with other companies for over 2 years! Was an orphan from another solar company that went bankrupt and no one else could get my remote monitoring back up and running. Clay, an electrician from Jamar, had my system monitoring in no time. Really impressed. Also, Philip and his team really know how to treat people well. Having had my own business for 35 years, I know how important good service and treating people with a sense of friendship is to growing a business. Jamar is absolutely tops in its field and I would (and will) be referring business to this company. Bravo!!

I had Jamar install my solar panels 3 months ago. I interviewed three local companies. Jamar won my business with price and quality. A colleague at work had used Jamar and was also impressed with the quality of their work. Hal and Rick thoroughly explained the process and equipment to me. Rick was always available to talk by phone. Install went smoothly. Price was extremely competitive. Im very happy. Would recommend them without reservation.

Amazing Service and quality of these guys are amazing! You need to use them if you’re thinking about solar system. They did my first install and did an awesome job. I compared three other solar companies and Jamar was by far the best choice. I did not want to rely on contracts and paying another company to track my power when I could do it myself. This team did an amazing quality job and I would recommend them for anyone wanting a solar system installed on their house. I had them add a few extra panels to further zero out my bill, The price was very competitive and I would highly recommend them.

We considered several companies for our solar installation. Although we never met our sales rep in person, we felt he gave us a comprehensive overview as well as details about what to expect. The bid was competitive. When it came time for the job, the communication with us and the roofing company was excellent. The technicians arrived when expected, they were considerate and professional. Clay and Camillo were especially helpful with the electrical panel upgrade and troubleshooting for specific circuit issues. Per the experience of friends and neighbors, we were expecting to wait weeks, even months, for the final SDG&E inspection and connection of the solar system. What a great surprise when SDG&E offered us a fast track, online inspection and we were up and running 2 days later! Thank you to the whole Jamar team for making this big investment in our house a positive experience

JPS did a great job repairing my solar system. I needed a J Box replaced since mine had water damage. The support staff that helped schedule the appointment was great and very responsive. The electrician that did the work was very professional, well trained, and pleasant to interact with. The total cost was very competitive ( the best that I have found anywhere) and the job was completed on time and to my total satisfaction. Awesome job!

I had two micro inverters go bad Rick From Jamar Power Systems ordered them and they were sent directly to me. I contacted Rick when I received the inverters. They gave me a date within a couple days to come and install. They showed up at the time we scheduled and installed, all is good.

I selected JAMAR Power Systems to install solar panels on my home 9 years ago. I have used JAMAR for several other smaller jobs in the interim. I recently selected JAMAR to install a battery back up system. JAMAR assisted with the pros and cons of a Tesla Lithium-Ion versus Neovolta Litium Iron system. We were pleased to select the NV24 system. We were sold on NV being fire safe compared to Li-Ion and its longer life span. Not to mention Neovolta's production facilities are right here in San Diego County. The entire process from getting the required permits to the final installation went smoothly. JAMARS workers are top notch. We are very pleased with the installation. We are happy to recommend JAMAR for Solar, Battery Backup and all homeowner electrical needs. They are sure to exceed your expectations!

Jamar installed solar panels on our house. I could not be happier so far. The installation was completed earlier than scheduled and the whole process was smooth. Clay, the electrician, was extremely helpful and took extra time with getting the system running the way we were expecting. We opted for a "solar when the sun shines' technology. This weekend in December we were able to test this with an electric grid outage. All worked as planned and the solar backup kicked in without a hitch. They don't use any salesman type pressure tactics which seems rare in the solar industry and was reassuring. We would defiantly recommend Jamar Power Systems..

These guys provided the best quote out of 4 contractors. They offered me several options for solar panels and described how each part worked in the system. They called two weeks ahead of my scheduled date to say that they had an opening and were available. They pre-filled all the SDGE forms for my application to NEM and I was connected as soon as the county inspector approved their work.

Our experience with JAMAR includes installation of a 22 panel solar system in 2010, adding on another 8 panels around 2019, repairing a 240V plug in the garage, updating our microinverters sometime and more recently installing an EV charger in the driveway. JAMAR is reliable and does high quality work that they stand behind, and that gives us peace of mind. I Highly recommend them.

Jamar Power Systems is the best when it comes to electrical or solar problems. The technicians are professional, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. At the same time they know how to troubleshoot an electrical problem. We had a problem on a solar panel and it was determined to be an easy fix. Unbeknown to us our solar system hadn't worked for 8 months. When we received the bill we almost died and quickly called Jamar Power Systems. So happy we did because our solar system in now up and running, regenerating energy back to the grid. Thank you Jamar Power Systems. In our opinion you are the best.

I had a problem with the battery backup circuit in my solar system caused by a short in an electrical cable in my attic. However, after the shorted cable was repaired, the backup circuit (powered when grid power goes down) would still not power up from the solar equipment. I first called a company (not Jamar) that previously did a warranty replacement of my LG solar battery with good results. This time however, the technician they sent spent over an hour wandering around opening up boxes, taking a bunch of photos and left without having a clue what was wrong, though thinking it may be a blown fuse in the solar's Inverter box that, though he had opened the box, hadn't thought to test them.

I then did on online search for another company and called Jamar Power Systems based on their excellent reviews. Jamar sent out a technician the next day, who arrived early within the service window and who literally within 10 minutes of starting to do troubleshooting found the problem to be a tripped circuit breaker hid within the solar Inverter box and quickly fixed my problem at a reasonable charge. Without a doubt if I have an issues with my solar equipment, Jamar Power Systems with their experience solar techs will be the company I will call and I highly recommend them.

Sergio from Jamar Power System has been really helpful and professional. He really went out of his way to ensure that our electric concerns were addressed. Jamar Power has overall been responsive and quick to schedule appointments when needed! Very thankful for their professionalism and timeliness.

Over the last 15 years, Jamar has completed three electrical projects at my house. Each time, they have done excellent work for a reasonable price, and everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, professional, and top notch at what they do.

The most recent job was installing a new EV charger in my garage and a breaker on the main panel outside to support it. Jenn in the office tracked down the right person and helped with general questions. Rob asked me for all the necessary information so he could understand the exact nature of the work, including that I wanted to put the EV charger on the wall on the other side of the garage from the main panel. He then gave me an accurate estimate for the cost of the job and set up a time for the work to be done. Sergio did the installation with expert care and precision. With total confidence, I would request him for any future electrical needs that might pop up.

I highly recommend Jamar!

3/4/24 UPDATE:
Today was install day for my solar monitoring system. In my previous review, I said I would update my review. Marco and Cesar showed up right on time, actually a little early which I appreciated. They worked till lunch and returned after lunch to finish and button up the job. My solar array communicated with my new monitoring system. They Marco and Cesar were extremely respectful, showed up on time, and cleaned up after the job to make sure nothing was left on the ground. I would highly recommend them to friends and family. My previous solar company who installed my solar 9 years ago ghosted me and never called me back. Jamar was referred to me by a friend who had their solar installed 9 years ago. I should have hired them back then. I will have them back to either upgrade my solar panels or install some enphase batteries. Great Job Marco and Cesar! And Rick was also instrumental in scheduling and planning the project. I’m looking forward to hiring them again for my back up battery install and or solar upgrade!

I hit up a bunch of Solar Companies and electricians to rescue my solar panels from their year-long slump and to install a NEMA 14-50 plug for my wife's Tesla. After sifting through the contenders, I chose Jamar Power System, and here's why:
* Communication: Philip didn't just send a carrier pigeon with his quote; he hit me up via email like a modern-day falconer. Quick as a hiccup, he set up a time to swing by for a bid. And the BID was FREE! Whenever I buzzed him up via call, email, or even a text, Phil was on it faster than a dog on a dropped hot dog. He listened to my plethora of concerns and patiently broke down every nut and bolt of the plan like a solar-powered professor.
* Honesty: Phil didn't try to sell me the moon on a stick. He showed up, did his spiel without shoving upgrades down my throat, and actually listened to what I had to say. I had my shopping list ready from Enphase since their gear was rarer than a unicorn on roller skates, but Phil didn't bat an eye. No sleazy salesman vibes here--just straight talk and transparency.
* Value: Jamar wasn't exactly the bargain basement option, but I didn't pick them because they were the thriftiest. I picked them because I had a gut feeling they could handle the job. Phil strutted in, oozing confidence like a pro, assuring me they were the Enphase wizzards. Sold!
* Quality and Commitment: Alright, so the solar fix is still in progress, but they did zip in to slap that NEMA 14-50 plug in pronto when I gave the word. I rang Phil up and said, "Hey, buddy, can we fast-track this plug party?" And zap! It was done. I'll be back with updates once my solar problems are sorted.
So, stay tuned for the sequel--same solar time, same solar channel!

Rob (the electrician) and Phil showed up Friday afternoon and completed the outdoor plug. My wife was ecstatic that she can finally charge on our driveway instead of going to a supercharger every time her car needed juice. I will be recommending Jamar to my friends and family from now on. Our last Solar Installer disappeared and ghosted all my calls for service.

And....the company whom I thought I was gonna hire flaked on me a few hours before the job. I'll be reviewing them soon.
