Our home was partially burned in the mountain fire, we needed all our ductwork cleaned as well as all of the HVAC equipment thoroughly cleaned, fix it fast got here quick and had all the latest hi tech equipment to do what needed to get done and the techs are the best, not only did they do great work, they were so polite and professional. I’m a retired plumber and hard to please but these guys are awesome

This old house!! My home in Ojai is a 1960’s ranch house with cast iron pipes. Since we moved here we have consistently had issues with poor draining and backed up lines. I have been using Fix fast to unclogged the pipes and Ernie recommended a solution to fully solve the problem. He scoped out the the pipes found where the cast iron had failed and developed holes that dirt and roots were impacting as well as areas of deposits creating a rough surface that was catching debris and causing it to back up. He recommended two options one was evasive, involving chiseling the slab and replacing the pipes or a none evasive option that involves honing the inside of the pipe, removing the rough areas and utilizing a mesh liner and epoxy to repair the holes. I opted for the epoxy and over a weekend without impacting our lives he was able to complete the work. It’s incredible to have the issue resolved and the house back to running properly. Fix it fast for the win!! Highly recommend them for Ac and plumbing, I’ve used them for both and they have a great team l! If you have an old house like I do ask about the epoxy it’s a great solution!

Okay, so. Our den had a Smell. We'd noticed it, off and on, for the past few weeks, but could never quite pinpoint where it was coming from. It seemed to be the carpet, and after a couple decades of incontinent pets, we figured we just needed to get the carpets cleaned. But then I thought, just maybe, it was under the house. So I went to the crawlspace hatch at the side of the house and looked.

OMG! What I saw under there... well, suffice to say the main sewer line had burst open at the joint and for the past few weeks - possibly MONTHS - all our sewage had been draining under the house. There was an absolute SEA of raw sewage under there. We'd been using our crawlspace as a cesspit! I was so horrified my first reaction was to burn the house down and flee to Vegas. However, I remembered I had a service plan with Fix-It-Fast. I'd been a little doubtful about the plan for a while - I wasn't sure why I needed a *subscription* for a plumbing service - but I remembered that one of the perks was that you get immediate attention when you call. So I called, and they dispatched Ernie and his assistant (Michael, I believe) right away.

They arrived, and while for my wife and I this was the most horrible and humiliating thing that had ever happened, for Ernie and Michael it was just another Tuesday. They tested the line out to the street to make sure it wasn't blocked, and began pumping out as much of the liquid sewage as possible into the cleanout. They determined that the line under the house had never been installed properly, nor had it been strapped up as it should have been, so it had literally pulled itself apart by its own weight over time. They would have to redo the entire joint, replace the line, and strap it up. But first, they had to clear out that sea of waste, and that was going to be a big job. They had to go off to buy plastic sheeting, hazmat gear, bags of absorbent, and disinfectant/deodorizer.

They returned and the liquid was low enough now that they didn't have to swim through sewage to reach the pipe. They laid down plastic sheeting, spread absorbent, and got to work. Rebuilding the actual broken joint took the rest of the day, and then they asked us to run some water in the upstairs bathroom to test it. We turned on the tub and the joint held fine! Yay. But then my wife turned on her sink and we heard a desperate banging from below. Turned the sink off. Discovered that a *different* joint, further back in the wall still in muck, had *also* been installed incorrectly and was leaking water there. Probably had been for 40 years but we don't use the bathroom sinks that much. Anyway, that added to the trouble, because it needed to be replaced and it was hard to reach. And they still had to clear our all the semi-solid waste under there as well.

Long story short; Two men. Four days. Expensive? Obviously. But worth it. They ended up hauling out trash bags of foul sludge, cleaned up all their gear, made sure everything worked, and the area is dry and covered in deodorant powder. Our den no longer has that Smell. And we are grateful. Thanks, guys!
