I couldn’t be happier with the work Pacific Outdoor Living did on my pool project in La Crescenta. From start to finish, their team was professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. The project included a beautiful 15’ x 30’ pool with an adjacent raised spa, a paver deck, a paver patio in front of my office shed, retaining walls, and steps at elevation changes—all executed with great attention to detail.

What truly set them apart was their commitment to the job. They worked long hours, including Saturdays, to keep the project on schedule. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process, from permitting to construction and final delivery. They were always transparent, keeping me informed of any challenges—like the boulders they encountered—and providing thoughtful solutions, including the option to keep some for landscaping.

Despite the extensive trenching work, they ensured a safe and clear walking path across the project area. They also maintained a clean job site, cleaning up daily in all affected areas. When a small conduit was damaged during trenching, they promptly fixed it without hesitation. Additionally, they hauled away all excess dirt, rock, and boulders, leaving the space in perfect condition.

Pacific Outdoor Living went above and beyond by providing a pool cover pump, demonstrating their attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Now that the project is complete, I’m thrilled with the final result and can’t wait for warmer weather to fully enjoy the pool. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional team for their outdoor projects!

Our backyard transformation into a tiki oasis by Pacific Outdoor Living was nothing short of extraordinary! Julian Montford's design expertise and Trent Morrill's impeccable coordination made this project an absolute pleasure from start to finish.

The 500 square foot pavilion and tiki hut added an enchanting touch, while the refurbished built-in pool became the centerpiece of our newfound paradise. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the craftsmanship truly exceeded our expectations.

Despite the 12-month design and 6-month build timeline, every moment was worth it. The professionalism and courtesy of the entire Pacific Outdoor Living team were exceptional. Yes, the price may lean towards the higher end, but the peace of mind and flawless execution make it an investment well-spent.

Our backyard is now our favorite destination, and we owe it all to Pacific Outdoor Living. Highly recommend them for anyone dreaming of their own slice of tropical bliss!

We chose Pacific Outdoor Living for an extensive and multi-faceted backyard and front yard renovation. In the backyard the large pergola over the patio was removed, and a new patio cover was constructed. The cement was demolished and new pavers installed. We added lighting and ceiling fans. The pool plaster was cracking and POL arranged for the pool to be resurfaced and then recommended a pool man who could handle the acid wash and start up procedure. The putting green was in need of repair, and POL put in a new one, and recommended a contractor to replace our sport court surface. In the front yard, our brick walkway was cracked and in need of replacement. POL took care of that. The irrigation system in the back and front yards needed to be overhauled, and POL installed drip lines where needed, and replaced all sprinklers as well as the automatic timer. Additional landscape lighting was added in front and back which enhanced the property because our town has no streetlights and is very dark. We changed and added plants and trees throughout our landscape in front and back. POL helped us achieve our dream landscape, including new sod for the lawns, and then made sure we knew what to do to maintain it. POL planned the phases in our project with excellent crews specializing in each area of work, and made sure that each phase followed the one before with a minimum of delay. We are so pleased with the results - we have a backyard perfect for entertaining and family enjoyment and a front yard that is beautiful. I have the rose and flower garden that I always wanted as well as fruit trees that produce all year long. We would recommend POL for anyone needing to accomplish any or all of these phases. The planning process was helpful and thorough, and the execution was very professionally done - with a minimum of disruption and no damage to our property. The contractors were careful and skillful and extremely respectful. Start to finish, the project took about 6 months during 2020-2021 including the planning.

We recently bought a home in the valley and we knew that the yards needed a bit of work. The piping in the backyard was corroded and needed to be replaced. The pool finish was coming off, and the irrigation wasn't working well enough to support a yard in the front. We needed a complete overhaul.

We reached out to a few different companies. POL had a small up front fee for measurements and an initial illustration, but the bang for the buck compared to the other companies we talked to was night and day. We sat down with Julian at their office and talked through what we wanted and shared what type of styles we liked and he went to work. Our first rendering was a very professional layout of our yard's potential.

How organized and thorough they were off the bat was enough to convince us these were the right guys to go with. They weren't the cheapest option, but it was clear they were the most professional. Once we locked down the schematics for the yard, we did an in person walkthrough with Trent Morrill and Juan Horta. They walked us through all the work that would be done and talked to us about some of our options. I recommend if you're not sure what they are talking about, just ask. They explained everything to me, we got to an agreement, and kicked off.

From start to finish, it took about two months of work, which could have been even quicker if it weren't for the rain while the work was scheduled. Juan Horta and his team completely redid the front yard, backyard, courtyard, and pool. This included updating the pipes, adding drains, and putting up a pergola.

My wife and I work from home, so we kept an eye on all of the work being done, which honestly, isn't a bad thing to do because there were times we wanted something shifted, or we wanted to upgrade, and Juan and Luis were always helpful in making the necessary changes.

My wife and I are very happy with our new yards. If you're looking at your options, I highly recommend paying the upfront fee to have Pacific Outdoor Living come through and do measurements and an initial schematic. The measurements alone were worth the money in case you wanted to shop around. All of our other competitor bids were cheaper because we could provide detailed measurements. It's a no brainer in hindsight, and we ended up liking POL the best anyway.

Wow! We are so happy with our new driveway and front yard landscaping from Pacific Outdoor Living. Our project included; design, demo of existing large driveway and front walk, concrete forming, pavers, irrigation and landscape.

Overall: Pacific Outdoor Living was responsive, professional, clear with communications, and provided great value. All the teams were respectful of our property, highly-skilled, and lovely people. One detail about this company that makes them great to work with is that all of their crews are in-house.This made the process feel very well-informed the whole way through. We knew exactly what was happening and when and each crew seemed to grasp the project well before starting work.

Details and Shoutouts:
Justin Sun was our designer and he knocked it out of the park. We provided fairly clear communications on basic needs, a Pinterest board of styles we enjoyed, and a google presentation of who we were as people. He took that and provided an initial design that fit us perfectly! In our consultation, he suggested some changes that showed him for the design superstar he is (for instance, he suggested a ramp instead of stairs when he learned that I move large items in and out of the house many times a week). He took our small feedback items and made great adjustments.

Juan Horta was our project manager. We were given an estimated 6 week timeline and they finished about a week early. Juan communicated clearly with my husband via text and calls and was very responsive to questions.

Luis Suarez was in charge of the landscape crew and they were awesome! I love gardening and the crew was SO patient with me. They checked in before placing plants and rocks to make sure I was happy. They did a wonderful job without my input, but it was really special for me to be able to make those minor adjustments for my specific taste.

Invoicing department was easy to work with and polite; they even asked for pictures of the project just so they could see! Front office/scheduling were great and even had reserved a parking space for us when we came in for consultations.

We will work with Pacific Outdoor again. Many neighbors ask for their number and random people passing by on the street give the yard compliments. High quality and timeliness; you definitely get what you pay for. Project came in on-budget.

We are so happy we worked with Pacific Outdoor Living for our paver project. Our yard was transformed with a design we love. The team was great to work with - efficient, timely -and great communication!

We had a great experience with Pacific Outdoor Living. We started the design process a year ago and picked things back up recently. Juan and his team were super responsive. From the design phase through completion, we were consistently impressed with their thorough process and professional demeanor. The 3D renderings came to life transforming our 70’s back yard into a modern, elegant showplace complete with a spa, outdoor kitchen and a renovated pool deck. Juan was attentive to the small details and bigger issues alike and his crew worked quickly with an eye toward making living with major construction as much of a non-event as was feasible. This is the second project we used Pacific for. The first was a driveway renovation and we would use them again. They aren’t inexpensive, but the quality of their work is in keeping with their competitive pricing and I don’t begrudge professionals from charging fair market prices.

Pacific Outdoor Living renovated our back yard a few years ago.

They had a vision for the space that no other compnay came close to. They saw the disjointed, multi-level
areas of grass, clunky brickwork and flower beds and gave us a beautifully landcaped, paved back yard which was
great for family gatherings. They carved out areas for new plants and irrigation.

They replaced the old brick and wood lanai with a metal version the louvres of which could be adjusted remotely.

We regret having to leave it behind when we moved but are confident that their workmanship added greatly
to the sale value of the house.

In short: highly recommended.

Pacific Outdoor Living did an outstanding job redesigning our front driveway and landscaping, and creating a beautiful backyard with artificial turf. The team was professional, organized, and easy to work with from start to finish. They handled all the permits and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for quality design and execution.

Excellent company. Professional from start to end. Ken was my salesman and Jorge was the jobsite coordinator. Both were knowledgeable, timely, and personable. Pacific Outdoor Living has their own fleet of trucks and their onsite workers are employees of the company, which was important to me. The skill level of the installation crew was also excellent. At the end of each day, the jobsite was cleaned up and everything was put away.

I had my driveway, front walkway, and patios installed in the front and side of my home. Along with this, the front porch, steps, and a sitting area were completely redone. It looks amazing. When it came time to match the stucco on my house around the new porch, you can't tell the difference. Great match.

Upon completion of the job, we did a walkthrough and any changes I requested were taken care of in a reasonable amount of time.

The price for the job was fair - not the highest nor the lowest bid.

I would highly recommend Pacific Outdoor Living. They designed our yard, completely remodeled our pool, adding a hot tub, and did all of the lighting and landscaping. From the very beginning of our project, they were so organized and always kept us up-to-date on the progress. Our project supervisor, Juan, was terrific! Great communication and attention to detail. He also took extra care to ensure that the whole project was safe for our kids and our puppy. This is clearly a company and people who take great pride in their work, and it shows! They would be our first call for any future outdoor projects!

We hired Pacific Outdoor Living in October 2020, after living in the house for about 30 years. The did a complete backyard renovation converting a relatively unusable sloped backyard with a very small patio into a 2 tiered outdoor entertaining showpiece with room to host and entertain 20+ people. We couldn't be happier with their ideas and design for the space. The design also made the relatively small backyard feel much bigger.

Their designers had great ideas to make the space more functional and beautiful. They graded a much bigger patio (removing 3 dump truck loads of dirt), put in a short retaining/seat wall, paving stones, outdoor kitchen, firepit, pad for an above ground jacuzzi, drainage, irrigation, landscaping, and lighting.

It was completed in about 6 weeks start to finish, on schedule, working 6 days a week. They cleaned up at the end of each day and hauled away the debris as it was created. The project manager kept us informed all along the way, and had some great "tweaks" to the plans that they did on the fly with our approval. Three years later everything still looks great, the drainage works perfectly, and the plants are thriving. They also stand behind their work. We had one light in a step fail about 2 years after completion. They sent a guy out to replace it promptly under warranty.

One thing that separates POL from others is that they have all their own crews and equipment. There are no subcontractors or related delays. On my project their Bobcat broke down one Saturday morning. They sent their in-house mechanic out to fix it and had it up and running again in a few hours, allowing them to continue the grading without any delays.

It is a joy to be able to entertain in the backyard, or just enjoy it ourselves. My only regret is that I didn't do the project sooner!!!!

From start to finish these guys were remarkable. They came in at a fair price, thier work was clean fast and very professional. We have probably about 8000 square feet of pavers with a large fountain in the center of our courtyard. I highly recommend them. It has added so much value to our home.

Pacific Outdoor Living is great company. They built my pool with hardscape, landscape and outdoor lightning. All my vision for this project came to reality and exceeded my expectations. From consultation, designing and construction, all were done professionally. All construction crew knows and are expert in what they do. It was finished earlier than scheduled. Khalil, my project manager is very knowledgeable and addressed all my questions and concerns, professional and hard worker. We went with Pacific Outdoor Living because of their name recognition and hopes of having a "one stop shop" experience. And what we got was just that...top shelf service and products. From Design to Finish, they helped us realize our dream backyard. Would not only recommend, but would use them again for future outdoor projects.

Little did I know when I hired Pacific Pavingstone to pave our long driveway in the Hollywood Hills at 1822 Camino Palmero Street, that it would add such beauty and value to our home. Their workmanship and attention to detail was amazing. So much so that when I bought our next home, a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument at 5700 Rhodes Avenue, the first thing I did was pave the beautiful circular driveway. It was so beautiful and matched the property so perfectly that the property immediately increased in value. Thank you to everyone at Pacific Pavingstone.

We wish there were even more stars available, as "completely satisfied" is an understatement for us! Pacific Outdoor Living was professional, friendly, helpful, thorough, respectful, careful, reliable, diligent, meticulous, responsive, and unbelievably fast. Our new gunite pool was completed, on budget, within eight weeks of the start of demolition on our old fiberglass pool (see photos).

Each (week)day, trucks arrived in front of our home at 7:30am, and work began promptly at 8. On any given day, 6 to 12 team members were working like Oompa Loompas turning our backyard into the pool and patio of our dreams. Throughout the entire process, Scott the supervisor would show up at least once per day, making sure everything was on schedule, apprising us of progress, and dealing with any issues that might have come up.

They handled everything for us, from soil surveys and engineering reports, to designing the new layout with my wife and me, to acquiring city permits and passing the required inspections. Even after the pool was completed, a pinprick hole in the water pump was promptly replaced within a few days with the help of Pacific Outliving Living facilitating contact with the manufacturer to repair the problem under warranty.

We could not be happier or more enthusiastic about our experience with this wonderful company! No need to go anywhere else.

My wife and I were tired of looking at the same old front yard, we spent months searching the web, talking to friends, and driving by houses of yards that we admired. After all this time vested we saw a few of our neighbors with the POL sign out front and decided to engage them for a quote. Initially we had interviewed a few others but once we started working with POL we knew right away that there intake and design process was what we were looking for, they asked us the questions we felt important to make decisions on the overall design and build time that others did not, a true hand-holding approach that we needed. We had decided to install New walls, walkway, artificial turf, lot of drought tolerant plants, lighting etc. Their team is all in-house and they did a great job. Trent, the production Manager noticed very early on that the street elevation could cause flooding onto my property. He had the plan revised to take care of that. The last rain we had was tremendous but my front yard weathered through well. We did have gravel wash out in the front at curb but with the torrent of rain we had, I expected something might happen. The street was a river!

I whole-heartily recommend POL for a complete design-build firm. They were fast, responsive and expert builders. You get what you pay for!

Had a great experience with Pacific Outdoor Living. We purchased a new build home with a very small side yard. The yard was left to us to build out. Pacific Outdoor did an amazing job maximizing what little space we had. They took care of everything, including all the permitting so we didn't have to worry about anything. After the plans matched what I wanted, the construction began and it went very smoothly. Any hiccups along the way were promptly handled in a professional manner. The construction crew showed up precisely when they said they would, worked very neatly and built my gorgeous new backyard that included a new pool, spa and pergola. Pacific Outdoor started the project on our backyard and front yard upgrade in early 2022, and by August of the same year, we had a whole new outdoor space to enjoy. The transformation is seriously impressive — we've got a bigger pool, a chill hot tub, a cozy fire pit, a large bar, a cool BBQ setup, a beautiful deck, a lush of lovely flowers all around, and more! Throughout the project, Trent and his crew kept us informed every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough!
