Ilan has always done a wonderful, and professional job with all of his jobs at my house; most recently, insulating the attic! Very professional crew and the work was done in less time than expected. Thanks Ilan!

Tried To Get Our Driveway Quoted / Replaced.
Started out with we are a "Diamond Certified Company". I thought Great even better. Then the receptionist said, that we only go as far as S.F. I said I live in C.V. she said ok, then it was that it will take about 7 to 10 days to get the quote once our estimator looks at the scope of the work, I said fine.
The estimator (Ian) came out and was "On Time" that was a positive sign to me. We went over the details, he was friendly and a veteran so we had something in common. He gave me his card and said if I had any questions call or email him. I emailed him 2 days later with some questions regarding subgrade, high performance concrete mix and installing re-bar because he said the re-bar wasn't necessary when he was there. A couple days later I followed up with another email (Due to no response) asking for a specific quote wanting 4" thick 300 psi design cement, re-bar and the subgrade with 1" gravel. Again, no response. It's to bad I liked Ian when I met him.
I called the office and asked for Ian and he wasn't in the office. The receptionist said I told you it takes about a week for him to get a quote out. I told her it has been a week and I was trying to get in touch with Ian because I sent an email with specific details to quote and didn't want him to have to write two quotes if it hadn't read them, and that I had gotten no response from 2 emails I sent. She said she would give him the message and he'd get back to me. That's been well over 2 weeks now and I still have not been contacted by anyone from Sigura Construction let alone Ian.
My experience with Sigura Construction; Horrible communication, poor follow-up and if this is what being "Diamond Certified" means, I don't see it as a selling point. If I can't even get them to call or email me back then their not who I want to do business with.
Poor Comm. was one of my worst experiences in the service I sure don't want to have to pay for it.

During the Christmas holiday our main water line broke. We were away on vacation and our son who was home told us that there is no water.
We tried to call several plumbers but no one was available to come over during the holiday.
We called Sigura Construction, which did some work for us in the past, and asked if they can help. We talked directly with the owner who was also on vacation but that didn't stop him from helping us. He made few phone calls and told us his guys can come the next day to fix everything. By the time we came back home everything was completed. This was our holiday magic. Thank you Sigura Construction! -
Our project started out as a painting project with Sigura Pro Painting, but once we were underway the painters found damaged shingles and structural damage. Sigura Construction then came in and repaired the damage so that the painting could resume. We were pleased with both Sigura ProPainting and Sigura Construction.

SIGURA just completed a total kitchen remodel, including removing and re-setting load bearing walls. I now have a open space kitchen with two wonderful skylights. Very thorough with their work, engaging and more than willing to explain and initiate change orders. The remodel also tied the living room with the kitchen to build a contiguous open space. New cabinets, appliances, granite and window added to the excellent core construction from SIGURA.

We just completed our full house remodel in Irvine. I know Ilan Sigura for years and familiar with his quality of work. I was worried taking chances with other contractors. Ilan helped us through out the entire process. He flew a crew in and was there for us even from far away. Any question we had he immediately responded, helped us choose fixtures and solved any issue we encountered.
My wife and I are so grateful and thankful for everything Ilan has done for us. -
Very professional team. They provide a turnkey solution for any renovation need you might have. From garage conversion all the way to rebuilding.
3 of my friends also did big project with them. Ilan and the team are fun to work with, they don’t compromise on quality and we’re able to deliver our project on time and on budget.
Highly recommended -
We've used Sigura Construction for three projects in our townhouse in Palo Alto--two upstairs bathroom remodels, and a repair/renovation after a flood in our downstairs hallway, which reached our dining room and damaged our garage below. Mr. Sigura's company did excellent work on all three projects. Mr. Sigura came out each time to determine the scope of the work and write up the estimate, and his crew has done good quality work. For the flood repairs, Mr. Sigura also met with me and our insurance company's estimator, and helped negotiate a larger reimbursement than our insurance company was originally going to provide. From listening to Mr. Sigura's discussion with the estimator, it was clear that he spoke the insurance company's "language." After Mr. Sigura negotiated with our insurance company, we ended up getting coverage for more items (such as replacement of the entire downstairs carpet instead of just the damaged portion), and Mr. Sigura did the repairs themselves for the amount of the insurance reimbursement (we upgraded some features, so we had some additional costs on top of the repairs covered by the insurance). After his crew was finished, everything looked great. Part of the work involved ripping out the bottom three feet of the waterlogged drywall in our hallway and closets, replacing it with new drywall, and caulking the junction and repainting the walls. When they were done, it looked so good that you would never know that anything had happened.
The only thing I can think of to complain about is that it took longer to complete the work than predicted, but it wasn't a big inconvenience. (Delays seem to be an issue with every contractor or handyman that I've ever hired, so it seems endemic to the profession.)
Mr. Sigura's company is not the cheapest contractor out there, but they do great work, and I'd much rather pay a reasonable price for quality work, than pay a cut-rate price to have the bare minimum done. I had gotten an estimate from another company for the flood repairs, and it came in lower than Mr. Sigura's--but that was because the other company didn't include the proper thickness of drywall to replace the garage ceiling required by the Palo Alto building code. And after Mr. Sigura spoke with our insurance company, our out-of-pocket cost was lower than if we'd gone with the cheaper quote. If we ever need more work done, Mr. Sigura will be the first person I call. -
We did a major remodel and also added some square footage to what used to be our old house. What a beautiful transformation it is! Ilan and his team did a marvelous job! Ilan is very knowledgable and attentive to detail. He gave us advise on what to opt for and what not to opt for; we never regretted going with his advise. We are very happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

I highly recommend using Sigura construction for your next home remodeling or construction work.
Ilan and his team are very professional, knowledgeable and can do a great job in any construction project. I used Sigura construction services since 2006 for a pretty big renovation project and Ilan Sigura and his team were very accommodating, flexible and patient (we made changes along the way), and very reasonable as it gets to cost. Since then, I used Sigura construction for other smaller projects and was always happy with the result, the quality of work and meeting timeline. As I also used other companies/contractors, I can share this perspective: The most important thing about Ilan Sigura's management style is his dedication to your project in the personal level. When you hire Sigura construction you'll not be left with an unfinished job, chasing the contractor to complete the job... Sigura construction is managed in a way that will make certain the job is done with a great care and high satisfaction. You'll not regret choosing Sigura Construction for your next project. -
Sigura Construction did an excellent job in our house. They transformed the family room to a beautiful room full of function and comfort by designing and building a new fireplace mantle, new recessed lighting, new floors, etc. Ilan was always proactive and very responsive throughout the project and beyond.

We had Sigura Construction work on a renovation before we moved into a 10-year old home we purchased. We had them do a few things:
- Convert carpet to wood in two rooms
- Re-carpet a converted garage
- Repaint the walls
- Install two toilets
- Fix some hinges
Their subcontractor who did the wooden floors was great. That was the best part of their service.
Everything else caused us headaches.
For the re-carpeted garage, the edges of the carpet where they had to nail it to be stabilized ended up having nails protrude through the carpet so if you walked along the edge or tried to exit the door you got cut by the nail. We had to tell them to come back and flatten it.
For the repainted walls, they broke two crown moldings on the ceiling (photos attached).
For the installed toilets, one of them was a Toto and they installed it such that you can't close the side of the toilet because they did shoddy pipework. The second toilet required pulling some low voltage electrical work, but they didn't properly repaint the wall. (Photos attached).
Second to last, after they collected their money, it took teeth-pulling for them to come fix these remaining issues.
Lastly, they had some extra wooden planks from installing the floor, their guy tried to run off with the extra ones to return and pocket the money for himself without refunding us. -
I highly recommend Sigura Construction! They are very professional and stand behind their work. They are very knowledgeable and helped us iron out all the details of our remodeling project. They kept us well informed through every phase of the construction process. We were very pleased with the final results and intend to use them for any future projects.

My wife and I recently had a total kitchen remodel done by Sigura. This included new cabinets, appliances, lighting, electrical code upgrade, flooring, tile, and paint. We quoted several companies and decided on Sigura because their price was competitive, they are diamond certified, and they were willing to work within the constraints we laid out. The work crew was anchored by Jose and Miguel who were very responsible, knowledgeable and caring about the quality of work provided. As needed other subs were brought in (flooring, tile, countertop) but Jose was THE GUY who kept the job on track and up to standards. They did a great job in sealing off the construction area so that dust did not intrude on the rest of the house. From construction start to finish was seven weeks and considering the amount of work involved, we were pleased with this relatively tight timeframe.

I contracted Sigura Construction to replace all wood paneling on the front of my house and garage, which was extensive. After demolition was completed, additional work was required due to termite damage. I am very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. Joel was very responsive to requests, as was the entire team. I would highly recommend them and will use them again as needed.

I would like to recommend Sigura Construction for every remodel, New Construction, painting or foundation job you may have. Every time I work with Sigura Construction I’m impressed with the quality, customer service and the superb workmanship. The owner is the most honest and reliable person I met and it shows through his work. I really love working with the company.

Sigura Construction was brought in to assist our company with a refresh and remodel of our employee lunchroom. We wanted to brighten the room and make it a more comfortable space for employees. Sigura's designer came in and brought lots of color to the room, put in furniture that created a warmer and more inviting space, and most importantly made the space more functional for all our needs (breaks and company meetings).
Sigura's onsite construction team was professional, thorough, courteous, clean, and went out of their way to insure that not only was the work of the highest quality, but also did an excellent job of keeping the space as usable as possible for our employees while they were finishing each element of the job. Ilan and his entire staff were excellent to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based on our experience. Keep up the good work Sigura! -
Sigura Construction has been our contractor since 2014. Back then, they tore down and rebuilt our house based on the architect's designs. As with any contractor anyone has ever worked with, we had some frustrations with time delays and unexpected expenses. However, literally everyone who visits our house comments on how beautiful it is and how well built it is. We have a lot of house pride and know that Sigura Construction has a lot to do with that. In addition, true to his word, Ilan has always responded to our requests for touch ups and is always responsive to our calls and texts. We continue to call Ilan anytime we need something; we simply don't trust anyone else to do as good a job and be as reliable with the quality of work.
