I hired thrifty to cut down a few trees for me. I tried a few times to use my gardening service and they just didnt know enough about trees or have the right equipment. So I hired thrifty. They were fast, on time, knowledgeable and their prices were great. Dave and his team now do my annual tree service and I wouldnt use anyone else.

For years, I have tried to schedule a truly knowledgable arborist to come by my property and provide competent direction on keeping my trees healthy. When I had Thrifty bid on trimming and pruning 7 various trees, it was clear Dave Aviram was that expert. I was taken aback by my good fortunate finally having a trustworthy arborist to answer my questions and deliver sound advice. Thrifty wasn't the lowest bid on my tree trimming job, but you get what you pay for -- and I feel I got great value! My only regret was I found Dave too late; I believe he could of save a tree or two of mine in the last decade or two.

Dave came out for guidance on my tree issues. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the problems and used a great piece of equipment that examined the interior of a very large tree trunk. Very impressive. He gave me instructions on the care and feeding of the trees which I've followed with great results.

What a talented team of workers, polite and hard working. Dave was present to start the crew, checked in on site mid -day for added guidance as the Arborist, and at the end for final details. They cleaned up everything and cared for saving a loved big tree and took care of years of overgrowth around the property in a way that will bring back new growth for beauty and safety. We paid for the best, and got it!

I love to garden, but I don’t love being a slave to an abundance of fallen leaves. Every morning and late afternoon I was raking leaves from my Magnolia tree. Never before did I have this problem. I felt the tree was having a hard time due to the drought and my inability to water as often because of Los Angeles’ new water laws. I didn’t want to continue picking up leaves nor did I want to lose the tree. I asked around to find a good Arborist, and David from Thrifty trees was recommended from a very reliable source.

I was blown away. He understood the mechanics of the tree and felt if he injected the tree with a new product he had researched it should restore the tree to good health and eventually stop the abundance of leaves it was losing daily. David knew what he was doing for in a short period of time my Magnolia had stopped its shedding and it looked healthy once again. David was excited with the results and pretty surprised at the quick turnaround of the tree’s condition. Needless to say I was thrilled to have my tree back to looking beautiful with an added bonus of not needing to rake anymore.

Before ending this note, I must say the reason for the great success I had with the Magnolia tree was because of the owner, David from Thrifty Tree Service. For over 40 years I have been heavily involved with my garden and over those years I have come in contact with a good amount of landscapers, arborist, tree doctors, gardeners, etc. of whom were all quite knowledgeable, but not one could hold a candle to David. He eats, sleeps, and breathes “trees” and he is far above all others in his field. His constant researching, reading, experimenting is what makes him full of great information and ideas. To have Thrifty Tree Service as one of your important numbers in the care of your garden will bring you years of satisfied beauty.

Dave and his team helped remove a dying pine tree from our yard. They were extremely knowledgable and had a great price. They were quick, efficient, and they removed the tree at half the cost of other companies i got quotes from - super happy!!

Oh man, these guys were so great! I emailed about scheduling someone to come out to provide an estimate, got a call within 30 minutes to set up my appointment. They reached out to me with a window, got a call when the guys were on the way, they showed up very timely and provided me with a competitive estimate. I said "Great, when can we schedule this?" He told me he could have guys over in about an hour to do the job. Holy Cow! About 10 guys showed up with a wood chipper, everyone was super conscientious, everyone wearing a mask (pandemic), very customer service oriented. They talked me through everything, asked questions when needed, efficiently did the job, cleaned up at my house, any debris that fell in the neighbors yard and here I am a few hours later with the job done and everything looking great! It was incredibly efficient and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a professional and efficient service. I will no doubt call on them again with any future tree service needs. Customer service was top notch and I appreciate that when inviting people onto my property.

Dave and thrifty tree service did an excellent job trimming the palm trees in my yard and removed a dead tree from our front yard. They did a great job, very efficient, and left the place very clean. Would recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable service at a fair price.

Thrifty Tree Service came to prune all my trees. They were on time and done outstanding work. I used other companies in the past, but, Thrifty Tree Service are the best ever. The most knowledgable people, polite and professions crew. Will use them again. Highly recommend.

Made our mulberry trees and lemon tree look amazing!! We called in the morning, they came to give a quote a few hours later and that afternoon trimmed our trees. One day service and the price was affordable. Very happy with them and definitely using them again! :)

I had the pleasure of using Thrifty Tree Service, on several occasions in the past decade. While the scope and nature of the job changed from project to project, the superior service I’ve received remained the same. They healed my sick trees, fed my fruit trees, trimmed and removed existing trees, sprayed for borer and other insects and provided knowledgeable advice. The owner Dave Aviram, is a certified arborist who is knowledgeable and helpful. The crew is well trained and extremely efficient and professional. It’s clear that safety and customer service are their number one goal, and they provide both and so much more. They are reliable, courteous and insured. I give them my highest recommendation and will call them again with no hesitation.

Very knowledgeable and professional. The crew even graciously helped me with a few requests to keep a part of the tree trunk as a little table. All debris was removed. They seem to care about their work and customer satisfaction. Dave (owner) followed up later in the day to insure all went well. I only wish the home owner (I'm the tenant) had contacted him sooner -- he could have saved the tree. Advice - don't wait and don't just hire someone with a chain saw. That's how this avocado tree died. Dave is a Certified Arborist -- big difference!

I was looking to have a few trees trimmed on my property and shopped around a bit before deciding to go with Dave and Thrifty. What separated them for me was their knowledge and professionalism, they came in and assessed what needed to be done, and did it exactly as they quoted. Dave and his team provided me with fantastic service, and I couldn't be happier with how nice my yard looks thanks to their help!

Thrifty Tree Service trimmed my palm trees and removed a couple of other trees in my backyard. They came in, were fairly priced, and got the job done leaving my yard clean. Now I won't have dead palm fronds dropping in my yard! They really made my yard look good and I'll definitely have them come back next year to trim my palm trees. Great experience working with them!

Thrifty Tree Services Inc in Reseda is really Great Company. I called them for tree treatment in Beverly Hills and to trim some trees and bushes. Guy came out and quoted us (free quote ) for the package. Nice guy showed up when he said he would. We arranged the service, they came out, people were nice, did the job fast and on time. Cleaned up the garden as they should, they did a fabulous job. I would use Thrifty Tree Services Inc again. Thanks!

Thrifty Tree Service did a great job removing two massive eucalyptus trees that were by my house. They were able to remove the trees without any damage to our house and used a stump grinder to make it so I can replant a new tree. They were very professional and I am very happy I used them to take on this massive project. I will definitely be using them for all tree service needs in the future after seeing how great of a job they did with these massive trees!

Highly recommended. Very professional, Very polite, nice personnel. I had a tree removed several years ago. It started growing back. They came and completely removed it with no extra cost four years later !!!!!

PERFECT TRANSACTION!!! I am in MIAMI but needed a palm tree cut down in Los Angeles. I called Thrifty Tree Service and spoke with Dave. I sent him a picture of the tree via text message. Dave gave me a quote over the phone, emailed me a proposal, as well as a copy of his liability insurance. I signed and returned the proposal via email and he and his crew came out the very next day. Dave sent me pictures of the job he had done. Everything was EXACTLY as promised. I paid him after the job was completed via a credit card and he sent me a Paid in Full zero balance due invoice for my records. I can tell you that they now have a new CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!! I recommend them highly!!!

Called Thrifty Tree Service with an issue about two very large big trees in our yard. Dave the arborist who works with them came over and was just fantastic. Gave us so much help can recommend them enough

Thrifty Tree Service has completed three projects for me this year and I could not be happier with the results. Thrifty trimmed and treated my majestic oak, saved my exquisite crepe myrtle from near death, and flood-proofed the ravine adjoining my home. Dave, the owner of Thrifty, and Leo, his crew chief, are experts at what they do, and from our first meeting it was immediately obvious that they love what they do. I am extremely satisfied with their work and have asked them to come back and make my arroyo look more like a park than a jungle. From their past performance, I have every confidence that they will do so to my full satisfaction. I highly recommend them to any property owner who simply wants the very best tree service.

After having a tree-trimming nightmare less than a year ago, we (again) went through the process of meeting with arborists for quotes to remove 2 extremely large trees from our front yard. We were fortunate enough to meet Dave the operating owner of Thrifty Tree Service Inc. He was amazing -- extremely knowledgeable, transparent, honest, punctual, and genuine. He (unsolicited) provided us with his license, insurance, bond, and arborist certification info and quickly gained our trust and business. It was a big job, but only took 3 days to fully remove the two monster trees. It required the use of a 44 ton crane, hauling/dumping, grinding the stumps down, and filling the stump holes. His crew was tremendous also. They were respectful, professional, hardworking, and all spoke excellent English. Dave was not only present throughout the entire project, but was a masterful orchestrator, managing everything with calculated precision. He also was quick to pick up a chainsaw and really get his hands dirty, which to see a business owner be so hands on is rare. I never feel compelled to write reviews, but this experience was so smooth and painless, they really deserve the praise. Thank you Dave!
