Pulsar just completed a remodel of 3 bathrooms and other odd improvements to our house. We could not be happier with the results and process of working with Pulsar. First and foremost, their attention to detail and quality of their work is unbelievable. Their standards for perfection was far above ours. When challenges came up they were great with offering efficient and economical options that kept the job on schedule. The scope of work and billing process was transparent (no surprises!!). While no one likes to go through a remodel, they made it an enjoyable process and we now have 3 beautiful bathroom and our house looks great. I would recommend them to anyone.

Contacted Pulsar Construction to drywall and paint our garage. Elena was very responsive and provided us with a reasonable quote as promised. Her husband Dmitry dropped off the materials a few days before the start date so their workers could start right on time which they did. Both Elena and Dmitry were there to oversee the work morning and end of shift. The work was completed on time with quality. Will continue to use their expertise in the future and strongly recommend their services. We are very happy with our garage!!!

We were so lucky to have found Pulsar Construction! We just finished a beautifully executed major renovation project including walls, floors and 2 bathrooms with this incredible team. From beginning, Pulsar team was knowledgeable, detail oriented and organized. Throughout our project, they maintained excellent work ethic by spending countless hours on site, staying in touch (almost daily) and sharing updates of completed work.

After sharing my vision for the project Elena took great care of my wishes (she was really a customer advocate on construction site for me) in addition to helping us source local vendors (most of whom we used and loved). We also worked closely together to select materials, and it was so helpful to have a pro by my side for that - we made better decisions because of this!

Dmitry is a constructor extraordinaries! He builds things to last. No joke! Our house will collapse before the bathrooms fall apart. Dmitrys attention to detail and precision made a huge difference in the final work. I consider myself a really picky person and I was so relieved to have his perfectionist finishing touches on our place.

And our home looks amazing (the team literally performed surgery on our ceiling as it kept cracking from the heat of the summer.) Did I mention how awesome Pulsar Construction is? We love these guys and can't wait for more projects in our kitchen soon.

Awesome! I contacted Pulsar Construction regarding our bathroom remodel project. Our manager was Elena. Specialists prepared an accurate estimate. The communication process with the manager was great! We liked the design, reasonable price, and decided to work with Pulsar. 

They were very attentive to our preferences, helped us with the finished design, and recommended the places for the tile, vanity and other materials. The team is very professional. They updated all plumbing, electrical, did waterproofing  of the walls and floor. They kept home clean during all construction process. Tile, tub, lights, vanity are so beautiful! Pulsar Construction just finished our house remodeling! We purchased the home in January 2021. It took them 6 months to complete all the details including kitchen remodeling, 3 bathrooms, hardwood floor installation, stairs, and railings, interior and exterior painting.

We had reached out to Pulsar for a quote on a major gut renovation. It was a great experience working with Elena on a quote. During our home walkthrough, she was on time, professional, and helpful in immediately calling out suggestions or previous learnings from construction around the city that could bring risk to our desired timeline. They undoubtedly bring high end quality work, and their quote was very detailed/reasonable and focused on the right things. Ultimately we went with another contractor that included a dedicated full-time designer due to our unique situation of not having bandwidth to be available for decision-making for our contractors, but we were very impressed and would have gone with Pulsar otherwise. Highly recommend!

Pulsar is incredibly accommodating, reliable, and professional. Their team was able to work on my condo unit, including all necessary permits and HOA communication. If anything came up, they were very quick and prompt with updates. If you ever wanted to add something or adjust something throughout the project, Pulsar works with you to make it happen. Pulsar construction was hired as a general contractor in May ‘19 to do a complete master bathroom remodel for our family.
Overall, the work was done very good. Elena was a pleasure to communicate with and also was great at coordinating the whole process. They did a great job at helping us with designs that fit our budget. The most important that they really care for quality of work and client’s concerns (we had many). From start to finish, the entire team were consummate skilled professionals.

Pulsar Construction did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel! They helped us with the design concept, find the jacuzzi tub and beautiful finishes. The tile, mosaic, and shower door look perfect. The vanity, mirror, and lights are amazing too.

Pulsar Construction finished a complete remodeling of our house in Rancho Palos Verdes. It included tackling the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, powder room, stairs, flooring, repiping, electrical work, and painting.
Despite unexpected issues due to our home age (built in 1967), the team resolved challenges like rotten framing and drain pipe cracks.

Thanks to Elena, Dmitry, and the amazing Pulsar team for a smooth process and outstanding work. We are happy with the results and love every corner of our updated home.

As a service professional in the field of major appliances and HVAC I'm often called upon by contractors to perform various tasks. Elena of pulsar construction called me for an oven restoration at one of her client's. She is a great individual that represents a great company. Very friendly, attentive to her client's needs and she goes above and beyond to please her clients. When you call they will answer in a very professional and courteous manner. If you leave a message they will return it right away. Very professional, very friendly, very personable. It was a pleasure doing business with pulsar construction.

"Buyer beware before you consider Pulsar Construction in Torrance, CA"!

On July 15th, 2025, I submitted a request for kitchen/bathrooms renovation on Pulsar's website (including my zip code - see attached photo) on my Fusion at Southbay home.
The same same day, received a response from Elena (office manager) stating "we are booked until September 21st and not accepting new project but we will put you on our waiting list". "Our team will contact you in case of any cancellations".

After patiently waiting, 2-1/2 months, on September 29th, I received an update from Elena stating "Good morning Jeff!!! We are looking for a new project starting in November. Please leave us a note with the property address and your email. We will reach out to you after 10/10".

So I did just that only to receive an immediate reply "Unfortunately, we are unable to help you because your zip code 90250 is outside our service area".
This was very disturbing as we've been waiting 2-1/2 months and if this was known, we would have contacted another construction company.

I responded to Elena "that is interesting, my home is 6.5 miles from Pulsar and clearly within your service area, per your website map".
Elena replied "we can't consider your project since it is territorially located in Los Angeles".
I explained to Elena, this is absolutely false as my Fusion at Southbay home with Hawthorne zip code 90250 is an "incorporated" city in LA county, the same as Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa - in which my home literally borders MB/RB directly across Aviation Blvd.
I then texted her all of the supporting screen shots (including map area of my home to Pulsar), Pulsar's website stating "We specialize in serving the SOUTH BAY of Los Angeles for 9 years".
Elena, my home is in the "South Bay of Los Angeles. I requested to speak with the Owner only to be completely ignored by her going forward.

In summary, my renovations would have been completed by now. I lost 3 months and have to start the entire process over again looking for another construction company.
Again, potential customers - Beware of their misrepresentation and tactics!

What are some of the most important things to look for when you hire a contractor?
1) quality of work, 2) honesty, 3) attention to detail.
Pulsar construction delivered everything above plus some of the other qualities that you can rarely find when looking for a contractor.
They have passion, they care about your family and your house like it's their own.
They are honest, they will tell you exactly what you need and what you don't need but within the maximum willingness.
Meaning, any kind of vision you have, they will do their best to make it come true, in a most efficient ways.
Most importantly, their quality of work is absolutely the best.
They are a family business of husband and wife, Elena is so great at communicating. She is also very knowledgeable about interior design aspect, she will give you all the wonderful tips beyond the remodeling.
Dmitry, not only he has an amazing knowledge about the actual construction, he sees things that you can easily miss and let you know in advance so that you don't need to waste your time and money.
They are both warm and kind and treat you with respect, you will definitely feel like the most priority when you are working with them.
Overall, they have everything what you are looking for when looking for a contractor, and if a top level high quality work is what you are looking for, they are the people you want to work with!

My project was extensive, including the removal of a wall, creation of a vaulted ceiling, and demo and creation of a new kitchen. Therefore, I took significant time and care in selecting a construction team. After meeting with Elena and Dmitry, I was confident that Pulsar Construction was the perfect fit for me, and this decision was validated throughout the process.
Dmitry, Elena, and the team were extremely professional and organized. They provided a schedule of the work to be accomplished and met with me to discuss every aspect of the project. They facilitated every step of the construction process. They obtained the required permits and promptly addressed any concerns from the city. Elena provided excellent references for cabinetry, tile, flooring, and appliances and set up appointments for me. Of course, I was given the flexibility to obtain products from a business of my choice; however, the references she provided were of the highest caliber. Dmitry’s and Elena’s attention to detail and high standards of work were exemplary. They are hands-on, reviewing every task if the project. When they found a slight misalignment with the backsplash tile being installed, they had all of the tile removed and reinstalled so that it was perfectly aligned. They are perfectionists and treated my home as if it was their own.
Any challenge was met with solutions. Dmitry was extremely creative in finding solutions for any challenge that arose.

Pulsar construction completed a full remodel of our master bathroom down to the studs. This included moving a wall to expand the bathroom, and repiping our whole upstairs (beyond the master bath) to replace the old, leak prone copper piping with PEX.

We’re so happy with the results - the level of craftsmanship from Pulsars work is top notch, and we’re reminded of that everyday when we use the bathroom. Further, we have peace of mind knowing that the work we can’t see (behind the walls) was completed with the same level of quality.

Something else which stood out about Pulsar is how they responded to an unforeseen issue which came up. They immediately took responsibility and resolved it. Having worked with numerous other contractors, I can confidently say this is not the norm.

For all these reasons, Pulsar will be my go to contractor for future projects.

I highly recommend Pulsar Construction for home remodeling. Elena, Dimitri, and their crew were wonderful to work with. They remodeled my 1500-sq.-ft. house in Palos Verdes Estates in the second half of 2025. The remodel included a full kitchen, two bathrooms, fireplace tile, engineered hardwood flooring, molding, trim, window, interior paint, and washer/dryer installation.

I originally found Pulsar on a Yelp search. I narrowed down my search to three remodeling companies that got excellent reviews on Yelp, including Pulsar. I also asked a client of mine whose home was recently remodeled beautifully who their contractor was, and they responded that it was Pulsar and recommended them. They said they were great to work with, on time, and on budget.

I met with and got quotes from from Pulsar Construction as well as two other companies. I immediately liked Elena and Dimitri (General Manager and General Contractor, respectively) because they seemed very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I hired them because of this and because I loved the idea of having a woman (Elena) be my main point person through the remodel. (I had had a bad experience in a previous remodel with a male contractor who was dishonest and condescending to me as a woman.)

I found Elena to be extremely knowledgeable, organized, cheerful, respectful, budget conscious, patient, and excellent at communication (prompt and thorough). Dimitri obviously takes great pride and accountability in his work. He explains the work and issues in detail, comes up with creative solutions to problems, and is happy to accommodate requests.

Elena was great at working with PVHA (the home association) and the City to meet their specifications and secure permits and approvals. She also was good at calming me down when I got frustrated with the home association demands.

Pulsar set me up with quality materials vendors, such as The Kitchen Store. I love my kitchen cabinet layout, design, and color. Elena also found me a reasonably priced store to order my new engineered hardwood flooring, Fancy Floors. Additionally, she worked with Universal Appliances, Seven Stones (for quartz countertops), Fancy Floors, and the Kitchen Store to secure deep contractors' discounts for me.

The Pulsar construction crew was always respectful, considerate, and eager to help whenever I had a request or question.

I would definitely use Pulsar in the future. When the project was done, I was thrilled with the results and strangely a little sad that I wouldn't be working with Elena anymore. You know a contractor does a fantastic job when you're sad to see them go!
