Five stars, hands down, for Mendenhall Tree Service! They recently tackled the removal of a dead in my yard, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

From the initial quote to the final cleanup, Mendenhall Tree Service was professional, efficient, and incredibly meticulous. The crew arrived on time, fully equipped, and immediately assessed the situation. They carefully discussed the plan with me, making sure I was comfortable with every step.

Mendenhall Tree Service gets high marks!! Miles (owner) is The Man! He was prompt responding to my call, showed up on time, took down a huge leaning tree poised to destroy our home, cleaned the place up, and was cheaper than the five other tree removal contractors I called for quotes. He's the guy you want if you want to feel confident the work will be done carefully, want to hire a local working hard to live here, and who seems to be able to get along with anybody. His work product is awesome but another reason I'd hire them again is that Miles is a good man - hard working, sincere, humble, and honest. The kind of person you want to do business with because it makes you feel good (and smart) about how and where you spent your money.

I have always said “right tool for the right job”These guys have every tool and piece of equipment to efficiently perform the job. They knocked out 7 pines including 2 over 100ft tall and offhauled everything in their grapple truck in one day. You won’t regret working with the guys AAAA+++ second time I have used them.

I’ve been using Alpen since 2017. I originally selected Alpen because Ryan is a very knowledgeable arborist. He cares about the health and safety of the trees. I appreciated the assistance with defensible space as well. Communication is excellent and the crew does a thorough job and comes out as scheduled.I would highly recommend Alpen tree to anyone looking for tree removal or assistance with defensible space.

I recently called Alpen Tree Experts to remove a fallen tree as well as a few hazardous trees. This is the second time I have engaged them, and I found again that they were very responsive, well priced and professional. They quickly gave me an estimate, did the job in a timely way and followed up with emails and photos as I requested. I would highly recommend them and will definitely engage them again in the future.

Alpen was fantastic to work with. Professional and scheduling was easy. We needed the lines to our house to come down due to the location of the trees and they worked with PUD to coordinate timing on power shut off. The job was completed on time and very happy with the results.

As part of my defensible space work, I asked Ryan to provided an estimate for taking out a large/tall white fir tree, several smaller trees, and limbing a tree with dead branches. He was very responsive via email and phone.

The estimate was a little higher than my budget, and Ryan worked with me so we could get the work done in line with my budget. I also asked them to chip the trees and leave the chips on my property.

On the day of the job, Ryan's crew arrived at my home on time and explained what they would be doing. They asked me a few questions, and then work began. A handful of hours later, everything was done according to what we scoped. And the wood chips were left exactly where I specified.

I am very happy with their work!

We have used Alpen Tree Experts for a number of years. This company has been able to expand over the years to serve a larger customer base without losing any of its quality and attention to detail. They have an office staff person that returns emails/calls. We were so amazed and impressed watching them drop one tree perfectly to where they said it would land, climb and removed in sections another tree that was too close to buildings to be dropped and removing branches on another. They were professional, fast and efficient and they left the yard looking better than it did before the work. Highly recommend them.

I cannot recommend Alpen Tree Experts highly enough. They have managed the trees and forest on my property in Tahoe Donner for 12 years. Ryan is personable and professional, Rebecca manages scheduling and client needs with a lovely attitude, their crew is skilled, efficient, accommodating and service is detail oriented. They have a respectful approach to owners and the land. Cleanup of driveways and the frontage road is always the last touch....It’s the little things that count!
