It was by chance that we saw a sign of Backyard Estates and decided to look them up. Their website reflects who they are: transparent, communicative, collaborative, well organized, and timely. We did not have to wonder if their teams were going to show up, they were always on time, 7:30am ready to work. It was great to see upon returning from work how much progress they had done. In a matter of weeks our tiny home was being build. The experience has been amazing. One thing though, if you ordered or selected items not in their list, make sure to remind your point person when the time comes for those details. The teams on the field are used to specific items and may forget the changes.

We do have to send a big Kudos to Dusty. He is amazing in coordinating with all the teams, keeping communication with us, discussing any issues and solutions, and just a good person. Thanks, Dusty!

Amazing company with great people & fantastic product

Adam and Jordan where both very professional and super friendly. They don’t make you feel pressured to agree to anything and answer all your questions. They are easy to reach by phone or text. They are also bilingual. Adam speaks almost perfect Spanish even though he doesn’t think so. If anyone is interested in building a small home in their backyard I would definitely research this company.

Working with the Backyard Estates Team has and will be a great experience. I am a sub-contractor and supplier for their project and have always had great responsiveness to any communications and or scheduling requests. I would be happy to partner with the team at Backyard Estates on any project.

Adam & his team of contractors, architects, builders, etc, were so amazing. Backyard Estates build my 2 bedroom, 2 bath. It was a custom build and it turned out beautifully! Mary kept us in the loop throughout the whole process with updates & statuses. There's no way I could get a home like this in OC for the price we paid. There is so much cabinet space, lots of natural sunlight, just everything is amazing. I'm still in awe at how the house turned out.

I highly recommend using this company for your custom home build -- they are literally all services in one company which made this whole process so easy. Just a note: the city took months to approve all the permits, Adam's team from start to finish took 12 WEEKS!

Backyard Estates, led by Adam and head contractor Dusty, honored all my requests for a customized ADU, including melding my sketch of a floor plan into theirs. They knew just how to work the designs through city planning and meet all the inspections.Construction was completed in three months with expert crews on site six days a week, sometimes working after dark to complete a task. They did a masterful job of making the ADU look like the main house. Communication with the company was excellent, and they provided a payment chart making all fees predictable.The new home is beautiful, full of storage, and not at all claustrophobic!

We hired Backyard Estates to build our ADU and were impressed with how fast and smooth the service was. Adam was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend them for anyone wanting to build an ADU.

We chose Backyard Estates to build our
ADU after visiting several of their Open Houses and talking in depth with Adam and Tom. We were so impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, and integrity that we knew we wanted them to build our long dreamed about ADU. They handled everything, including all permits, from start to finish. All of their employees were on time, worked hard everyday, and completed the build from ground break to completion in 7 weeks. Backyard Estates also provided excellent references for landscaping and fencing. We easily rented our ADU and are enjoying our passive income stream.
