AC was failing in our 2nd residence, and I called 4 well-rated companies for estimates, including D C Mechanical in Newport which I'd not used before but decided to contact based on good Google reviews. The owners of the company -- Patrick and Randy -- spent at least an hour with me discussing the various options, taking temperature readings, etc., Without even being asked, Randy disappeared underneath the home, poking about taking a look at the existing duct work.

That alone, made the decision, and the price given was extremely competitive.

Once the job started, it was clear the entire duct work would have to be removed rather than be patched -- I explained I'd need to discuss the job and additional time needed with my wife, and was told, "This won't change your price, sir." And throughout the entire install, Randy clearly treated the job as if he were working on his own home, working carefully and professionally. 5 stars -- seriously.

Amazing company!!!! Our AC broke on Halloween, and Randy came out that night around 7 pm, found the issue and were able to fix it immediately. So my house went from being 80 degrees to 77 and continued to drop! I thought I would have to sleep with a fan blowing straight on me but this amazing company saved me and my family from suffering through a hot night!!

I met ray luckily 5 years ago when I bought my condo through my Realitor. The hvac unit is a little older and he’s maintained it perfectly. Recently had an ac emergency and he was here 1st thing in the am , turned out to be my electric panel and he fixed it on the spot. I strongly recommend Ray and his AIr Conditioning company if you want an honest and reliable guy at your service.

Ray is amazing. He was on time, quickly located the issue and repaired, all under an hour. He was professional, kind and honest. I wish their were more businesses like his.

Ray did an excellent job..he replaced the motor, cleaned coils and replaced filters. I have been in my unit 3 years and I have never felt my air like this. It was 93 degrees in my unit when the motor caught fire and burned out. I didn't know my unit was supposed to pump out air like this. I have been using five fans with my old unit just to maintain 75 degrees. I don't need those fans now. Thank you so much!

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give this company. There are a few areas in life where having "a friend in the business" is invaluable. One is a car mechanic, another is a jeweler, and the third is an HVAC repairman. I was referred to Ray Cox by a friend who manages apartment buildings. Even though Ray Cox can handle big jobs like that, he's also willing to work on single-family homes like mine. Ray and his team are not only experienced, they know where to spend time and money efficiently. I've had other experiences with bigger companies who literally tried to gouge me with unnecessary repairs and replacements. Ray Cox is the friend you want in your corner when your air conditioning or heating is giving you problems. Why are you still reading this? Call him already.

Ray Cox and his company are top notch. I don’t even go through my home warranty for AC issues because Cox is that good and you get the best service you could ask for. Prices are very fair and you’ll never want anyone else after having his services.
